Absolutely amazing experience. Great crew and service. Lunch was very good and we got everything we needed. Island time was the perfect length to go for a walk and a swim. We loved the small group size, would absolutely recommend.

Perfect hosts - Nat and Anita looked after us really well. Knew their stuff about local history. Took us to a lovely little island. Swimming, walking and such. Lovely food. Sail back was fab We'll never use them again, 'cos we live far, far away. But you definitely should. Go on - treat yourself. You deserve it.

We had a fantastic day sailing on Vigilant with Nat & Dallas, they showed us around the BOI with a chance to swim, snorkel, kayak & hike one of islands and some sailing if the wind picks up. We were lucky enough to see some dolphins, penguins, baby hammerhead shark, mako shark & stingray on our snorkel!

We’ve had a fantastic days sail with a stop for lunch and walk/swim/kayak. Very relaxed and a great way of seeing the islands a long this beautiful starch of coastline.

Absolutely a memory of a lifetime. The whole adventure from leaving the dock and returning is something you won’t forget. We couldn’t have asked for more.

Wonderful way to experience the bay. Small group size so didn't feel squished on the boat. Lunch was delicious!!

Nat and Anita were great hosts. We thoroughly enjoyed our day which had lots of sunshine followed by lots of wind and even a dolphin sighting! Lovely lunch prepared by Anita…recommend if its a hot day to bring a beer or some wine to set the tone for the lovely sail back to Russell.

We had a great day out - Nat (skipper) and Dallas (crew) were very welcoming, chilled, and very proficient. Beautiful weather and water topped it off. Fun and lovely to experience the beautiful BOI on the water.

Had a fantastic time on this adventure. The crew were lovely, beautiful yacht, lunch was delicious - one of my best tour experiences. Would highly recommend this to anyone wanting a relaxing day on the water.

I have spent many hours on the bay of Islands waters , motoring around on power driven vessels, I recently decided to take the opportunity to do things a little differently and Im very glad it did, Nat and her crew on vigilant were amazing hosts, and nothing gives you the chance to appreciate being on the water more than gracefully gliding through it under the power of her sails the lack of an engine rumble means you can hear birds singing on the islands as you go by, and if you're lucky enough to be visited by them the splashes of dolphins. Not to mention a lovely stop over in a quiet bay away from the masses, with the opportunity to go for a bush walk, kayak or snorkel, and chill in the shade of a beautiful Pohutakawa tree. We also have did this trip with three children under 7 and the vigilant team lived up to her name and kept a watch on them. In summary if you want to get a feel for the Bay of Islands this is the charter for you!

Absolutely spectacular experience. The whole day was perfect from start to finish. I was nervous taking 3 young children on board but the crew was amazing and accommodating.

The sail was just fantastic. We had great weather and Nat/Dallas took very good care of us (insights of the bay, great lunch, etc.) We even made a new record of the most spotted penguins during the tour (> 40!) and also saw a baby hammer shark. As what we were told, you can also be lucky to see dolphins in the bay and more. 100% recommendable (little tip - book with them directly 🤫)

I’ve sailed with Nat a few times and I can’t recommend Vigilant enough. The trip is the best way to see the bay, great crew, tasty food and an authentic sailing experience.
