The Caracol tour was very good and I highly recommend a visit to this remarkable historic site. Our tour guide Rudy was excellent and his encyclopedic knowledge of Mayan history and culture along with the flora, fauna and wildlife of the area made the visit so much better.
If you have to choose between Caracol and Tikal it will be tough choice. Caracol is not has developed and does not have as imposing physical sites (although still amazing) but is situated in wilderness and had really no other visitors, it was like having it to yourself. This gave almost spiritual element to the visit. This may change when the new road is completed making it a much easier visit.
Tikal was much more of a tourist destination (mainly local Guatemalans), this is understandable since it is an amazing site. Out guide to Tikal (thru MayaWalk) was OK but not close to Rudy in helping you understand the history etc.
Caracol tour also had stops at the Rio Cave and Rio pools, these were both great visits and might weigh the choice in favor of Caracol. Recommend if you can to visit both sites.

Amazing tour with a knowledgeable tour guide. Non stop facts and stories of the Mayans and of the entire country of Belize. A nice lunch after the ruins before trekking back and taking a dip in the Rio on pools. Great way to end the day. 100% recommend this tour company

This cultural tour was very interesting. Our guide, Diego knows a lot about history and nature, including scientific names of plants and animals. Is an excellent driver as well. We could refresh in return in the Great Rock Fall, with a clean and warm water. The car is very confortable.

The guide Rudy was exceptional. He had real passion for his job. He explains everything from all the trees, the plant life to the history of these archaeological sites.
The tour itself is one of the best I’ve ever taken. You see so much! The Pine Mountain Reserve with Caribbean Pine trees everywhere! Saw so much wildlife - crocodile, deer, fox, howler monkeys and much more!
The Maya ruins of Caracol are in the middle of the jungle so they are quite a unique place. Very large in scale. 14 stories to the top of the largest pyramid.
And it doesn’t end there. After the local lunch provided, we were taken to Rio Frío caves - amazing stalactites and stalagmites! We saw Rio On Pools and took a dip in Big Rock Falls.
I highly recommend this guide & company!!!

Thank you for this awesome review Nabeel!
You are one of the lucky ones to see so much wild life on the tour to Caracol. Some are lucky to witness jaguars as well along the way. We always tease Rudy about being a walking encyclopedia, he truly loves to share his knowledge. We hope you visit Belize again and enjoy some cashew nuts and wine.

We used Tukan for tours as well as shuttle service. Every step of the way, the staff were all top notch. Jessie, who was our guide on all the outings, had a deep understanding of the places, history and culture of Belize. A remarkable young man who clearly had a passion for learning and sharing. The vehicles were new and clean and the excursions were nothing short of amazing. Full marks Tukan!

This was an amazing tour. Tukan Tours surpassed my expectations & Rudy was the best guide ever. Celine at the office was super helpful with information and details.
The tour itself will take you through Pine forests & Mayan ruins that are breathtaking. You will see howler monkeys, may be crocodiles (we saw one!) and butterflies.
Stopping at Rio Frío Cave & later being able to take a dip in the water was also refreshing.
Don’t miss this one!!!
