Tikal Go was the cheapest and best option to get to Tikal from Guatemala City, including flights between Guatemala City and Flores, airport pickup, transportation, Tikal park passes, guides, lunch, and more. Tikal Go initially made a mistake with our booking but more than made up for it while communicating throughout the process. Noel was our guide and spoke great English while giving us information pertaining to Tikal and Guatemala that we wouldn't have learned otherwise. This tour turned into the most memorable part of our trip and I'd recommend anyone do this tour if they travel to Guatemala!

We are really glad we decided to go ahead with this one day tour from Guatemala City to Tikal provided by TikalGo. The early flight from GUA was slightly delayed but the views from the plane in the early morning were stunning! We were picked up promptly at FRS and had a smooth, relatively quick journey to Tikal National Park, including a stop along the way to get coffee and a bite for breakfast. Our guide was excellent and professional and our group thoroughly enjoyed our time at the park. The sights were amazing, and although there was a lot of walking and climbing of stairs, the pace of the tour was easy and manageable. Lunch at the end of the tour was a good addition, and we even had time to enjoy a short walk in Flores before heading back to the airport, for our on-time flight back to GUA. Would highly recommend this tour.

I’m not a morning person, but I would wake up at 4 am to do this tour again in a heartbeat. Have you dreamed of ancient ruins, longed to see the rainforest, or wondered what it would be like to walk this earth 1500+ years ago? Then Tikal, and this tour specifically, will blow your expectations so far out of the water you can see Earth’s curvature. While Tikal is extraordinary on its own, we owe our starry-eyed awe and amazement to our guide, Cesar. Cesar is the consummate expert on Tikal, and his passion is infectious. Think of any esoteric question you have on the forest or the Mayans—he not only had the answer to virtually every question we had, but also had an uncanny ability to paint a vivid image of life back then. “Imagine you’re a Mayan and your king, dripping in jade and jaguar skins, emerges from the fog at dawn at the top of [this temple], with the sun rising directly behind him.” Would you believe in divine right? I think so. With his colorful descriptions and knowledge, Cesar repeatedly managed to allure us, successfully, into stepping into 1000-year-old shoes and imagining what it would have been like to be a Mayan, strolling these grand causeways and making pilgrimages to the capital to worship during the equinox. With Cesar, we wandered around on unlisted, obscure jungle paths, emerging at Temples I, II, and V from the lush greenery of the jungle unlike the rest of the tourists traveling on the busy main road. A man who wears a tremendous amount of hats, Cesar also is an expert on the rainforest — he would periodically point out spider monkeys, howler monkeys, and other fauna, and teach us about the plants of the rainforest. He is also an expert photographer. He knew all the perfect photo spots that would make any Instagrammer swoon, even teaching us a trick or two about our iPhones. My partner and I agreed, Cesar is, no doubt, the best tour guide in Tikal. Other profuse thanks to our driver, Alex, who drove smoothly and safely and got us everywhere on time.

I would recommend this service to anyone visiting Guatemala and want to take a quick day trip to Tikal. They are very responsive to all questions before the trip. We got picked up in Antigua promptly at 3:45 and were taken to the airport. The driver (Henry) did a fantastic job driving and getting us to the airport on time for our flight. When you arrive at Flores after a quick 30 minute flight your Tour Guide will be waiting for you. Our tour Guide was Cristian. Cristian was an amazing tour guide he provided indepth answers to our many questions and had tremendous knowledge of the history, culture, plants, and many animals of Peten. Cristian led us through the park and let us explore on our own and did not make us feel rushed at all.

The tikal tour was a great experience to see tikal ruins in 1 day. Unfortunately the flight to Flores was delayed by 2 hours which reduced the time spent to Tikal. However wasnt the tour companys fault. The tour company was good at communicating with us via whatsapp and sent the reservation ahead of time. They were available for questions as well. Ceasar was a great tour guide and used the time to ensure that we still visited the most important sights at Tikal. Will highly recommend this tour company for same day Tikal tour from Guatamela City.

My significant other and I did the Sunrise Tikal tour and the Sunset Yaxha tour. Both were incredible. I personally really loved the Sunrise at Tikal. Although we did not get the see the actual sunrise due to the mist it was such an amazing experience listening to all the animals start to wake up. The Howler Monkeys were especially active. Being at Tikal so early gave us the freedom to see the park with less visitors. Yaxha was also a great experience we had the same guide for both tours and he knew so much. He had a lot of knowledge about both locations and also spotted several animals and birds. All in all TikalGo was an excellent company and I would defiantly use them again.

We had a great two day trip to Tikal and Yaxha with Tikal Go. Our guide Noel was really knowledgeable, both about the Mayan history and culture of the places we visited, but also the natural ecosystems in which these sites are located. Tikal Go was flexible and adapted the itinerary to our needs and preferences. I would recommend them to anyone planning a tour in Peten.

This company did a fantastic job! They booked flights for me, arranged a driver to pick me up from my apartment, and had someone waiting for me at the airport. The guide was extremely knowledgeable about Mayan people and culture. He also knew the best way to view the different structures to avoid crowds. I would definitely use them again!

This was such an amazing experience!!! We were picked up in Antigua, driven to Guatemala City where we took a private jet to Flores. Our tour guides met us there and drive us to Tikal. The guides were incredible and knowledgeable. I highly recommend this tour, especially if you don’t want to waste your trip on how long it takes to get to Tikal from the city. It was expensive but worth every penny! Once in a lifetime experience.

This tour was perfection. Everything was organized to the last detail, including hotel pickup, flight, airport pickup. Our tour guide, Erdozain, was super nice, funny and knowledgeable. He made our experience unforgettable, he explained the history, the mayan culture and beliefs, and the nature including all animals and plants. He would notice birds and animals around us and let us stop to quickly look at them using his binoculars. He was able to spot for us spider monkeys (babies included), howler monkeys, hummingbirds, parrots, oropendola, brown jays, and hawks. The temples and pyramids were just breathtaking, and the lunch was good, in a beautiful setting. I highly recommend Tikal Go and this tour in particular!
