Highlights
  • In Bangkok, listen to your guide’s commentary about Thai Buddhism
  • Learn from the guide about Thai architectural styles at each temple
  • Stroll around the famous reclining Buddha statue at Wat Pho
  • Take in three of Bangkok's most important temples on a private tour
What to Expect
After morning or afternoon pickup at your centrally located Bangkok hotel, ride in an air-conditioned private vehicle to the temples. At Wat Traimit, see the Golden Buddha, a statue that weighs 5.5 tons and is made from solid gold. Continue to Wat Pho by walking through the bustling lanes of Bangkok’s Chinatown, a vibrant district established more than 200 years ago. See the massive reclining Buddha statue, a smiling wonder that stretches about 150 feet (46 meters). Note the intricate carvings on the feet and other beautiful touches in the temple. Your final temple is Wat Benchamabophit, constructed of marble slabs imported from Italy. Your guide shares commentary about the site, as you walk through open-air corridors lined with Buddha statues and into lofty temple buildings with intricate decorations. Your tour concludes at the Gems Gallery.

Vanchai (our tour guide) was very professional, friendly, and knowledgeable. He was prompt for pick up and the tour schedule went as expected. The air conditioned car, drop off to each temple, and private guide are worth the value of purchase.

We took this private tour, but we got very little information from our tour guide as to the sites we were visiting. When I asked questions, I got very high level answers. I have had private tours that were much better than this one. The tour guide was very strict with the rules
