Private Tour: Thai–Burma Death Railway Bridge on the River Kwai Tour from Bangkok
Visit the Thai–Burma Death Railway and Kwai River bridge with your own private guide on this full-day tour from Bangkok. Learn about this important World War II site, and see the river bridge, JEATH War Museum, and Kanchanaburi War Cemetery. Take a longtail boat ride on the Kwai River and have the flexibility to spend more time at places of interest on this private tour.
What to Expect
After hotel pickup in central Bangkok, travel by a private air-conditioned vehicle to Kanchanaburi—a distance of about 80 miles (130 kilometers).

Upon arrival, take in several important sites in the region. Visit the Death Railway and the Bridge Over the River Kwai, memorials to the thousands of prisoners of war who were forced and died to build the railway through the dense jungle during WWII.

You’ll also visit the Kanchanaburi War Cemetery and JEATH War Museum, a small open-air museum with photos, paintings, and artifacts from WWII prisoners.

Have lunch and take a longtail speedboat ride on the River Kwai, before taking a ride on the local train in a return trip to Bangkok at the end of the day.

Great Nostalgic Trip

Great trip and quite a long day from Bangkok, but worth it. Visit the war cemetery and museum. Walk over the bridge before going on the train for around an hour. Then a fabulous lunch. A worthwhile day out from the city.More
