About the operator
Don’t take it from us – here’s what people have to say about this operator:
- cindysR6401CO0 contributionsExcellent tour by Guide Yuut!Guide Yuut in Bangkok was exceptional. As a former Buddhist monk, Yuut brought unique insights and deep knowledge to our temple tours. His practical experience shone through in his explanations of Buddhist practices. Being an experienced meditator himself, he offered valuable perspectives on the spiritual aspects of the sites we visited. His background added an authentic and enriching dimension to our exploration of Bangkok's Buddhist temples, making for a truly memorable and educational experience. We felt really taken care of, as he negotiated fares with tuktuk drivers also brought us to reliable places to eat authentic Thai food at very reasonable budgets. Thank you for everything Yuut!Written 4 September 2024

- 514-eas0 contributionsThe best tour in BangkokIt was such a pleasure taking part in a private tour led by Gwen. Not only did she design a custom tour based on our interests, but she had extensive cultural and historic knowledge of the city - wherever we went she had a fun fact and a lot of background information. She is so kind and professional. I would highly recommend taking any of her tours.Written 26 August 2024
- mercadorial0 contributionsPrivate guided tour of BangkokKim was a great guide for Bangkok, really friendly and accommodated all the things we wanted to do. She also took us to places we hadn't thought of and got us access to tables in restaurants. We'd not have seen as much of the city without her guidance and energy!!Written 26 August 2024
- upbeathart0 contributionsWonderful GuideOur tour guide was Apple- and she was lovely! Very knowledgeable about Thailand and also very helpful. She was flexible with our wants and made sure we had a lovely time. I would book with her again next time I come to Bangkok!Written 25 August 2024
- mazina9400 contributionsCultural tourismWe chose Thai guide which basically one person will come and take you wherever you want and recommend places for you. He/she is only a guide, so you pay for everything tickets, fees, transportation. Moreover, our guide was Peach. She was very sweat and helpful. She made the tour and it was fun and convenient. She will do everything for you. You need to follow her and sit lol. She knows the places very well and will answer your questions about Thai history and religion. It was a good experience.Written 25 August 2024

- M9525BSellenh0 contributionsTour with Ms. PeachMs. Peach was amazing. She met us at our hotel and was ready for us. Her first item in her agenda was not to have one and let us tell her what we wanted. That was a blessing. With my parents and my kids, I was a little over zealous of all the places I wanted to see in my list. Her first comment was you have young children and parents with you, let's start here and see where it takes us as time goes and we can be flexible. She was a perfect match for us as a guide, made our trip extremely comfortable. She knew all the history about the places we visited (esp. The grand palace). If I go back to Bangkok and need a tour guide I will look no further than Ms. PeachWritten 23 August 2024
- samq1380 contributionsBangkok day tour Aug 2024Great service from the tour guid, and help for visiting Bangkok. But I have to remainder, this tour has no car, just by walking to visit some famous spots, the guid service is good, but the company is very unreasonable expensive. We paid AUD $173 for 8 hours private tour, but we have to pay everything on top of this price including guid entrance ticket, public transport fee and food and boat boarding everything, we have to pay own transport back to hotel in the end of the tour. Highly not recommended this company. But had a very good experience with the tour guid Miss Peach.Written 22 August 2024

Speciall mention to Peach our tour guide who made arrangements in advanceto have the most of the two days tour. Peach did an outstanding job during the tour, the food locations were perfect. She did everything during each day to make sure we had a wonderfull time. Two days tour with a good planning company like Thai Gauide will give you the best of Bangkok.Written 13 July 2024

- 484june0 contributionsAmazing Elephant Farm and Floating Market TourApple accompanied my family of 4 and a friend for a private tour to the Elephant farm and Floating Market. It was the highlight of our Bangkok trip and Apple was as proficient in giving us information about the tour to ensure the most fun and safety, as she was most fluent in English. She even accommodated us above and beyond her function to retrieve my son’s iPad left in a place around Wat Pho area the night before. I had been traveling and using private tour guides for a long time now and I can say with utmost certainty that Apple is one of the best tour guides that accompanied me and my family. I highly recommend Apple and her company! Their process is clear and very well organized. Thank you for the amazing time.Written 15 June 2024

Our tour guide, Elena, was very welcoming and kind! We began by sitting down and discussing all the options for the tour, including the floating market which we ended up visiting (would recommend). She took care of booking all transportation and planned out the trip to fit in as much as possible. When we would visit each location she would give us a lot of information about the history of said location, which was amazing! She also brought us to unique locations we had no idea existed before the tour. At the end of the day my boyfriend and I asked her for a recommendation for a massage place, and she not only recommended one, she brought us there and translated what we wanted for us before leaving, staying longer than she had to!
Overall, amazing service and great tips and tricks for touring around Thailand. We thoroughly enjoyed our tour, thank you to Elena!

Unfortunately, we (a family of three with a college-age daughter) were pretty disappointed with this tour, which seems to be different than most people’s experiences. Obviously, so much will depend on your particular guide. We had Note, who was a very nice and friendly guy, but we had to work hard to understand his English and his explanations consisted of very simple sentence constructions that didn’t add a lot to what we could figure out on our own. In the end, we let him leave us an hour and half earlier than scheduled because we simply weren’t getting much out of the experience.
But beyond this, there were a few things we weren’t happy about. First, one of our few advance requests was to get massages in Wat Pho (there is a massage school in the temple complex, and it is a cool thing to do). He knew this, but rather than getting our names on the wait list when we first arrived there and exploring the temple during the wait, he took us there at the end of our visit when there was an hour-long wait and we had to forego this experience.
Also, he suggested we spend the afternoon at a less visited floating market (Khlong Lat Mayom), which sounded like it would be fun but was mostly a waste of time and money, with a lot of effort to get there and very little to see. He encouraged us to hire a private boat for one hour at an additional cost of 1500 Baht, which we agreed to, but when we got to the dock we found that we could join a small group 40-min tour for 100 Baht each (and that the private hire should have cost 1200—what was the extra 300 for???). We then said we would prefer to join with two other tourists we met there to do the small group tour, but he insisted the private tour would be much better and that we would visit an orchid farm. So we asked if the other two tourists could join us on the private boat (to help cut the costs), and he refused to allow that. As it turned out, our “much better” private boat tour was over and done in 30 minutes, of which more than half the time was spent at a pretty rundown and small orchid “farm”. We couldn’t believe what that had cost us and how little we got for our money, not to mention the cost of taxis to get out there. And there was nothing “floating” about this market—it was a bunch of food stalls and vendors alongside a canal.
What we had been hoping for—a culturally immersive experience that oriented us to Bangkok—definitely didn’t happen. We felt like we wasted at least half a day and spent a lot more money than we expected or than was necessary to spend. We'll give two stars because the visit to the temples was OK, and he did show up on time and seemed to know his way around, which is helpful.

I'm sorry you didn't enjoy your time with Guide Note, unfortunately matching tour guides to clients is a little like a blind date.
If our only redeeming feature was we arrive on time, then we have really let our client down, and that is obviously not what gets us so many five star reviews.
I cannot comment on why Guide Note went about he did the Wat Pho massage school, from your description it does sounds like massive oversight, I wish I could give you more details about his reasoning.
As for the canal tour, there are many options around the water ways, there are public ferries on the rivers, both private and public ferries that go into deeper into the waterways.
For anyone wanting to know the difference, please feel free to contact us directly or visit our website which has outlines of various different iterations.
Finally not all floating markets are the same, basically in Thai it is 'Salad Naam', which is Water Market, and it refers to to a market that can be on, next to, around, or in a canal. Basically means that is accessible by the waterways, some place you arrive by boat, some places you walk around and the boats come to you and finally you are in the boat and the market is on the sides of canal.
In Bangkok city the most popular Water Market/Floating Market is deep in the canal and takes 30-40 minutes to reach depending on the weirs and boat traffic. Now you're at the market you can walk around the boardwalk, and also buy food and goods from boats floating in the market. Depending on the time of day they can be moored against the walkway. The cost for taxi to return is considerably cheaper than cost to have your boat wait for your to return to pier on the main river.
I can only assume this client expectation was the famously photographed Damnoen Saduak floating market which is around 100km west of Bangkok city, something that would take about 4 hours and private transport services to visit.
If you like to discuss guides, floating markets or anything in between please contact us thru our website and we'll be happy to answer and questions before you book our services.
It is possible to book our product thru 3rd party websites, but talking to us directly about your expectation before your tour will give everyone the best possible chance to have the best possible tour.

This review was due a year ago. I had to transit in Bangkok on the way to Bhutan. I was glad that Peach was my guide. We met at the airport at noon when my flight arrived, then she helped me to have my luggage stored at the airport and got a money exchanged with a terrific rate at the airport. We then took the metro to my hotel in town. She taught me the details how to buy the tickets, used the machine etc so the next day I can independently used the metro to get back to the airport to continue my journey.
After check in at the hotel we head to the Grand Palace, Wat Po, and we watched a cultural performance. She let me sat and rest while she stood on the line and got the VIP seat for us. Afterward she took my picture with the performance too.
While we were in a tour not only she took my pictures ( no need for selfie) but also she helped me with best location for memorable photos.
As it was then dark, instead of going to Wat Arun, she was able to reserved a spot for dinner in a restaurant across the river to watch and take pictures of Wat Arun at sunset.
I enjoyed my short stay in Bangkok, thanks to Peach.

By booking just a guide with no driver we saved money and time (Bangkok traffic is terrible) while getting a highly experienced, informative guide. Oil, our guide, spoke great English, knew her city and how to efficiently pack in all my big wish list must sees. Since it was just our group of 4 we could go at our own pace and see what we wanted. She gave us plenty of historical as well as social info. So much better than going it alone, hustling with a big group or paying a premium for a private guide and driver together.

Nina was pleasant, skillful, patient and very attentive to our needs. By the time the day was over we felt we had seen all of Bangkok without feeling rushed...we would all highly recommend Nina when looking for a great tour of Bangkok. We experienced every mode of transportation and were able to see sights from our trip along the canal as well as visiting sites in and around the city, ending our day with the Skywalk! Wonderful host😊

My guide Yuut was amazing! He took me around all the different temples and explained so much of the history and significance of various things. I got to travel like a local as we took the water taxi through the canals and got to see many different things about Bangkok. He negotiated all the tuk tuk rides so we always paid a good price. He knew his way around the city very well. After finishing up all the temples I wanted to see we had some time left and he recommended Golden Mount to see. It was my favorite! Great walk up to the temple and phenomenal views of Bangkok from the top. I very much enjoyed my experience with Yuut and so glad he was my guide! I highly recommend him to anyone visiting Bangkok. Thanks Yuut!

Our experience with Your Thai Guide was excellent. Booking was straightforward- the crew at YTG was quick to reply to requests, everything was well organized and clearly communicated.
Our guide was Peach, and she was terrific. Peach reached out to our hotel the day prior to our scheduled tour date confirming our meeting time and location. The day of our tour she arrived right on time at our hotel. We spent 10 mins or so going over our plan for the day. Peach made some suggestions on how to spend the day, but ultimately we stuck with our preferred locations. Peach helped out with arranging taxi from our hotel to a local market, and that’s where we kicked off our day. Having an experienced local guide with us allowed for us to be relaxed all day, there was never those stressful moments of trying to navigate around a new city, nor was there any wasted time figuring out how to get to the next place. Peach knew the quickest ways to get around the city, she knew exactly how to avoid the long queues for tickets at the popular attractions, and she provided insightful commentary throughout the day no matter where we were. Taxi rides were an opportunity to learn about the city as we moved around town. I noticed our taxi drivers listening in on the tour too! We enjoyed time at two local markets, walking around sampling food, and seeing a more local side of the city before visiting the grand palace and reclining buddha, we ended our day at the flower market. Peach seemed genuinely excited to show us around even tough I’m positive she’s seen the same places a million times. Peach had a thermos of ice water and even had little towels that she soaked in the cold water- these little refreshing breaks were a welcomed reprieve from the hot humid day. I could see the look of envy from all the other travelers as they walked past. Not only was peach a terrific host, but she was our photojournalist that day too. She took so many wonderful photos of my wife and I. This is our first trip where we have wonderful photographs to share with family and friends, not just photos of where we went and what we saw. Peach and YTG- Thanks for a wonderful first day in Bangkok your professionalism and warm hospitality couldn’t have been any better.

We sent a few "musts" and some additional "would be nices" in advance, and our tour guide Dew did not disappoint. We spent a full day getting to know the city, how to use different modes of transit (which was also on our "must" list), eating delicious food and being exposed to history and culture. Dew was knowledgeable, friendly and spoke English very well. Some of the highlights included Wat Arun, eating our way through Chinatown and visiting the Jim Thompson House. It was a great introduction to Bangkok and a way to get comfortable with the city as well. I can't recommend this experience more.

We had a wonderful time with Oil, who was very friendly and fun to talk to. Throughout the tour, she was saying hello and joking around with the guards, ticketers, etc at the various sights we visited. She took us on the train, ferry, bus, and a couple tuk tuks to see Wat Arun, Wat Pho and the giant reclining Buddha (which was bigger than we were expecting!), the golden mount, and the snake farm. We also had a very satiating lunch at Krua Apsorn, where Oil helped us order some delicious dishes.
Oil went above and beyond getting just the right angle for some of our photos (like even getting down on the ground to fit the entire stupa in the background!), and she's great with kids. We ran into some of our other family at the snake farm, and she was wonderful with our 2.5 year old twin nephews... not too mention playing around with some of the other children we came across along the rest of our tour. So, if you have kiddos of your own, Oil would be an amazing guide to have!

We hired tour guide Apple for one day on 18th February. She actually arrived 45 minutes early as she has to commute into the city but left us to finish our breakfast before meeting at the scheduled time. She then took a short while to go through our intended itinerary before we headed out to use a variety of buses, sky train and river boats on our day out.
Apple is lovely. She is very knowledgeable about her country’s and Bangkok’s history and culture and obviously takes great pleasure in imparting this information to her clients. She speaks excellent English and has a great sense of humour.
We saw everything that we wanted to see, had an authentic Thai lunch at the Thai Naval Club and feel that we now have a much better understanding of Bangkok or Krung Thep as Apple advised as being its real Thai name.
The day was very good value for money and I would certainly recommend the services of Apple.

Do you pick up from the Grand Mercure Bangkok Atrium. I can't see it on the list.

HI, I am looking at only an English guides tour (can be in a group) for The Royal Place. Do you have a package for that?

Hello,
I booked a private tour guide with perfect English through Viator on Tripadvisor. Our guide had been a former monk so his expertise was with the various temples in and around Bangkok but I am sure Viator would be able to extend recommendations.

Sorry, I booked this thru Trip Advisor.. so don't recall ( it was 5 months ago.) I DO remember that I thought it was incredibly inexpensive... around 100-125. (?) for the day for our whole family ( 4 people).
