    What to Expect
Only a few hours South of the capital city lies a green fertile lowland with a network of canals, orchards and a huge forest reserve – a peaceful land and lifestyle that is an important facet of Thailand that most visitors do not get a chance to experience.

We start our 3-day cycling adventure by visiting the Damnoen Saduak floating market where we take a long tail boat ride through the network of canals towards Wat Amphawan Chetiyaram temple. We ride along scenic back roads, cycling through coconut plantations, fruitful orchards and stunning temples, finishing at a canalside hotel where we check in for the night.

Day two of cycling starts after breakfast on quiet traffic-free trails surrounded by beautiful scenery as we enter Kaeng Krachan National Park. We cycle over a large dam and alongside a crystalline lake, and spend our second night at a secluded hotel in the hills where we will have free time for a swim or massage before dinner.

On our third and final day we cycle through quaint fishing villages, passing local schools and temples, and ride along the coast for excellent views of the sea. We arrive at Khao Kalok and lunch at a local restaurant before transferring back to Bangkok.

We ride a total of 58mi (94km) over the course of three days, and are fully supported by an air-conditioned minivan which travels behind the group, allowing participants to cycle as much or as little as they like and still enjoy the same views as the rest of the group. This 3-Day/2-Night tour includes breakfast-2, lunch-3 and dinner-2

Great Food and a Great Guide
My wifecand I did this tour with Nick who took us through some great spots (including an impromptu papaya tasting!). The cooking class was excellent and as others have said don't bother with breakfast as you'll be extremely well fed during the class. Thanks again Nick and the team at Spiceroads Phuket!

    Phuket Bike and Cook Tour
This was such a great day. Highly recommended, lots of food, we couldn’t eat it all and it was all beautiful. There was 8 of us and we rode our bikes which were such good quality bikes for about 12 kms stopping at times along the way. Then did the cooking class and then 13 kms back. The company Spiceroads was great to deal with, very thorough and wanted payment up front but this was ok as they are genuine and everything was fantastic. The money did not go through to my credit card until the evening of our tour. The best day 😊

We where 1 of 4 couples from Australia who did this tour. We had a great time. Our guide Nick was very friendly and knowledgeable of the local area. It was good to get away from the hustle and bustle for a day. My advise - don't eat much breakfast as you will be cooking and eating the most magnificent meals on this tour. Dean Melbourne Australia

    Great ride!
Thank you Spiceroads and kudos to Nick and driver for a well run tour to Ayutthaya. From on-time pickup, great equipment and guided tour across open roads and through villages, the entire day was super enjoyable. Highlights were the visiting the ancient temples and the after-ride lunch along the Chao Phraya. I highly recommend for strong riders.

Spice roads - Bangkok, Jungle 1/2 day trip
Fantastic morning out with Yo who showed us the jungle, green lung of Bangkok, the weekend market, the park, ancient temple, water monitors, narrow raised cycle path, interesting cafes, trip across the river on a long tail boat and bought some interesting snacks to taste. Highly recommended as an antidote to the business of the city on the other side of the river - just do it !!!

Enjoyed this trip, peaceful easy going ride takes you away from the madness of bkk. Sounds unbelievable but true. It takes you on a boat across the choa phraya river to a placs called bang kachao. Its all about bikes, minimum scooters and cars. Highly recommended easy pace. I enjoyed this on my own with two guides jimmy was very good. Plenty of water and fruit. Please the brakes on the bike are very good, no suoerman tricks like me🤣🤣

Booked a tour and got confirmation, all ok. I had to confirm twice that I was going. Meeting time was 12.45 so I took a motorcycle taxi and was there 12.15 and saw the meeting point. As I was early I thought I was the first one there and some others would show up. Time went 12.30 then 12.45 then 13.00 and no other cyclist or guide in sight. I tried to call and got disconnected twice, so at 13.15 that’s half an hour after meeting time I gave up. I sent an email and got a reply around 13.50 that the guide was there now and where are you?!?!. Anyway I asked for a refund and was told very sorry Matt ( my name is Fredrik!?!?) we can get you on another day. Of course I didn’t want that. As I booked through hotels.com they agreed to pay back 50%. All in all, very poorly managed and I guess I was the only one that booked that day and they decided to just don’t show up. Pretty close to a Scam to me, avoid! The photo attached is their meeting point.

Terrific quality bike tour consulting and rental in Bangkok
A few friends of mine flew in from France to Bangkok, so that we could do a 6-day bike tour in Thailand. I visited several shops searching for bike rentals for my friends, and SpiceRoads runs a real high quality operation. For this trip, we didn't join one of their tours (which look great!) due to a limited budget, but we did rent tour bikes from them. Khun Looksorn gave us amazingly efficient help. Very quick, very clear. The bikes were excellent tour bikes, prepared exactly as I had requesteed. Superb! Kapkhun maak krap !

    Great experience
We did the jungle bike tour with Spice Road Cycling which I booked independently (the hotel wanted to charge us 3 times as much to book it for us). This was great, we had a guide called Jimmy to ourselves and we saw the old style Bangkok including a market and a stop at a roadside stall for Mango and sticky rice. I am so glad we did this and the boys aged 14 and 9 loved it. There were a few parts that younger children would struggle on but it really was worth it.

    Fantastic way to see Bangkok
Natt was a great tour guide. The tour ran on time. The bikes were set up and ready to go when we got there. We loved that we got to see parts of Bangkok that you wouldn't see if you were exploring yourself. Cycling through the narrow paths in the markets we saw all the produce at the flower markets, chinatown itself and also temples. We tasted food that we wouldn't have been bold enough to try ourselves too. You are cycling through narrow tight areas at times so is good to be confident on a bike. Highly recommend we would love to do more spiceroads tours. Nice small group too so you could hear everything that Natt was telling us

    A Much Needed Escape
I'd been confined to riding on a turbo trainer for several months, so when a business trip to Bangkok came up, I knew I had to take this opportunity to get out and ride. Little did I realize, I would be visiting during the hottest time of year! Didn't matter - the experience was still fantastic. The tour guide and driver arrived promptly at the hotel and we drove in a comfortable van about an hour to get beyond the busy Bangkok neighborhoods. Getting the bikes ready to go was a breeze and the Trek Emonda I rode was well maintained and mechanically sound. The tour guide was knowledgeable about the area and his use of hand signals made following him and avoiding hazards pretty effortless. The temperatures climbed pretty quickly during the morning, but SpiceRoads were well prepared with cold water and snacks to keep the bottles full and my body fueled. The scenery was wonderful and the historic sites in Ayutthaya were fantastic. If I had one complaint, the roads were almost too flat! But as a result we were able to go fairly fast and finish the ride before the temp index got past 100. Speaking of flats, I got a soft back tire within 2 km of the finish. I thought, "oh no, we're going to have to melt in the sun getting this inner tube replaced!" Or worse, ride the rest of the way in the van. Nope! The follow car was nearby and had a spare wheel ready to swap out. It took only a moment to be on my way again. I'll definitely be looking for opportunities to ride with SpiceRoads during future travel opportunities. It truly was worth every penny. Kudos again to the guide and driver.

    Highlight of my Trip!
Nine was awesome! I was in Bangkok alone for a couple days on my way to a yoga retreat in Koh Pha-ngan and decided this would be a nice way to see the city in a few hours. When I arrived, I realized I was the only one booked for that time and with the busy schedule I had lined up I asked Nine if we could leave early. He was very accommodating and we left as soon as I signed the paperwork and picked out a helmet. I was very jet lagged so our first stop was to get me a Thai Red Bull. Then we went to Golden Mount temple, which was simply gorgeous. We went to a few more temples, including the Marble Temple. My favorite part was riding through all of the alleyways where the locals lived and shopped for fruits, veggies, and things like eels and toads. Later we rode through the 24 hour flower market which was buzzing after dark. The sunset ferry ride across the river to see Wat Arun was another highlight. As well as seeing the temple of the reclining Buddha after dark. So different than during the day. Overall, it was an incredible experience and Nine is extremely knowledgeable about the different temples and Buddhas (he studied Buddhism in India). I highly recommend doing this if you have ever ridden a bike before. It was the BEST thing I did in Bangkok!

    Wonderful ride!
Best experience so far in Thailand. Loved the ride, the route, the ferry ride, the temple, and seeing all the sights off the beaten path. Was fun riding on the small paths. Our guide Tony was fantastic. Answered all of our questions and made the ride very enjoyable and safe. Thank you Tony!

    Shame on me
Prior to booking our trip with Spice Roads, like many we checked the reviews of which some were dated (old) and most were mixed from outstanding to poor. Between my wife and I we have 11 bikes (road and hybrid) and easily could have brought our own with us had it not been due to logistics (not cost): 3 1/2 weeks in Vietnam and 4 flights. The tour: Ho Chi Minh Highway (private tour) was all that we could have hoped for; learning and experiencing Vietnam, it's people, and culture. No complaints as to the tour itself. To be fair, this is not for the faint of heart.........long distances with major climbs enroute. Their guide and added driver were superb! Issue was the bikes: old and not maintained. This was NOT what was listed on their website nor in my conversations with them when they said the bikes were "recent" not 4-6 years old. They asked for our sizes and in my case bike was too small. Brakes? Rear brake non-existent, when shifting chain repeatedly "jumped", and finally an issue with front axle bearings whereby we "swapped" out another wheel; obviously the bikes were not properly maintained. The bikes could have possibly worked on a one day 10-20 km trip but not on a 900+ km trip over 9 days. When confronted, Spice Roads essentially said "this is what we have" in a nut shell use it! Again, would I use Spice Roads? Jury is out.................their response and support from the company was inadequate. Our guide also mechanic was severely hindered in supporting us because he had to constantly swap out parts and then always making adjustments. We felt really sorry for him because of what he had to work with insofar as support from Spice Roads.

That was really a nice place
It was an unforgettable trip in Bangkok. And the guide Mr.Bird is a very nice person. We started in the morning.Through the busy streets, and across the Chao Phraya River with a Long-tail boat, then we got to a place beautiful and quite. In there,it was easy to bicycle riding.People here are very friendly. And there were many species of trees I’ve never seen. Thanks for showing me a different Bangkok, and I hope I'll have the chance to see you again.
