After meeting your guide at the departure point in Chiang Mai, your bike tour starts as you pedal across the city to the train station. Hop on the train for the ride to the historical Lamphun train station, where you'll get back on your bike to ride through the quiet streets of the small city, once the capital of an ancient Mon kingdom.
Pedal past its ancient walls to arrive at Wat Phra That Hariphunchai, a temple known for its imposing chedi (stupa). From here, strike out across the countryside, biking through villages, past a canal, and along tree-lined lanes. Enjoy a simple Thai lunch at a village market (own expense), and then cycle through paddy fields until you come upon the wood-carving village of Ban Tawai. From here, meander along country lanes to the foothills of Doi Suthep to a beekeeping center.
After a few ups and downs on forested lanes, arrive at the forest temple of Wat Umong before returning to the city, where your tour ends.
