Not worth the money
The tour was $111 for two and barely lasted a half hour (it did include a short taxi ride to and from our hotel).

Our guide was great so this is not a reflection on her. However, it was not necessary to use a guide for this trip.

It was very good for the parts we saw, but our guide skipped over one of the temples unfortunately (maybe due to time?). Overall though it was very nice. They picked us up and transported between places, provided water, and showed us everything at a good pace, very informative, very nice tour guide, but like I said we skipped one of the temples which was kind of a bummer.

Dear Nicholas D Such reviews are making our day! It has been highly appreciated from all of us that you took the time to write down your experiences in Chiang Mai and see the spiritual landmarks of the "Rose of the North" alongside getting an impression of the city scape. An invaluable asset in all our tours and excursions are indeed our guides; ambassadors in their own right and able to bring forward essentials to gain a deeper understanding and greater knowledge add so much more value. Looking forward welcoming you and your travel companions again to the Land of Smiles for another exploration of the country's landmarks, sights and unmissable monuments. With kind regards Asian Trails Thailand

We really enjoyed this tour. The tour guide was very informative & we enjoyed learning all that we heard. We were taken to several locations & it was nice not having to worry about parking. We were dropped off & picked up right in front of the temples.

We thoroughly enjoyed the tour of Wat Phra That Doi Suthep and Wat Chiang Mai. We also enjoyed the visit to the city market. The tour guide took us to Wat Chiang Mai, which is different than the tour description, but was definitely a good location to visit. Our guide was very knowledgeable of the temples and Buddhism. He told the story of the Buddha and the temples in a very clear and understandable manner. We learned a lot that day. The only detraction was when we left Do Suthep. Our guide took us to the Jade Museum and Factory, which is located near the entrance of Wat Phra Doi Suthep. It felt like a high-pressure sales visit, trying to get us to buy jade jewelry. This part was not what we were looking for and not appreciated. I would recommend the tour we took, but definitely not the jade experience.

The guide was very knowledgeable, we learnt a lot about Buddhism and the story of Buddha when we reached Doi Suthep. We didn't see Wat Chedi Luang or Wat Phra Singh, the guide took us instead to Wan Chiang Man which is the oldest temple in Chiang Mai. Nonetheless, it was a good day and we went to a local market to try some local dried fruit and bamboo worms!
