About the operator
Don’t take it from us – here’s what people have to say about this operator:
- Andrea K0 contributionsBest way to see Phi Phi Island is this small group tour! From the punctual pick up to the transfer back we were treated with courtesy and respect. The check in and information was efficient and we were soon on our way to the first island to watch the sunrise whilst enjoying a simple breakfast the crew prepared for us. We were shuttled to each destination ahead of the crowds thanks to Mr Alan and his crew, Captain Banana, Ollie and Jonas. The passion Mr Alan has for his boats and giving his guests a wonderful experience is exemplary. The lunch and venue will be something we shall remember always and the snorkelling was incredible. This is the tour to be on!Written 6 December 2024
- 49christiel0 contributionsAbsolutely The BEST!!!What an incredible experience with V. Marine on our trip to the Phi Phi Islands! The scenery was breathtakingly beautiful, like something straight out of a postcard. Every moment was unforgettable. The trip was impeccably organized—like a well-oiled machine. From start to finish, everything ran smoothly. The boat ride was comfortable and accommodating for everyone on board, and we were treated to a delicious lunch, along with drinks and snacks throughout the day. A huge highlight of our day was our tour guide, Sexy Goodies. Their humor, character, and kind, caring nature transformed what could have been just a great day into something absolutely extraordinary. Sexy Goodies was incredibly knowledgeable and went above and beyond to ensure everyone had an amazing time. They were helpful with absolutely everything, making the trip seamless and fun. Also the photo package captured by Yod was priceless! This was a day our family will never forget—simply amazing. We can't recommend V. Marine highly enough! From the Aussies Down Under & Sexy Mr Aaron!Written 30 November 2024

- 848kimg0 contributionsFantastic DayWe were picked up at the cruise port in Patong. We had arranged a private tour and it was a good thing since with traffic, the transfer was more than an hour. Upon arrival we were registered and then boarded the speedboat almost immediately. The boat is very loud and goes quite fast. Our travel day the water was pretty rough but the captain did a great job trying to minimize the bumpiness. Seasickness meds were a must for those of us who are sensitive. It was 1 1/4 hours to our first stop on Monkey Beach. We enjoyed this scenic spot. Then we boarded the boat again and moved slightly off shore to a spot for some amazing snorkeling. Fantastic marine life and coral. We then went to several spots including Bamboo island and then on to a stop for lunch. The food was served at a hotel and the variety and quality was excellent. We stopped to spend some time at the National Park, another location to see some caves and swam in a beautiful lagoon. Our final stop was Maya Bay. The most beautiful bay of the day but crawling with people. All day Ibi and his crew were extremely attentive. Checking in often to ensure we were ok, making sure everyone was comfortable, helping us off and on the boat, providing snacks and bottled water. You couldn’t have asked for a nicer bunch! They were all so sweet and focused on making our day perfect. They even took numerous pictures of us so we have some wonderful memories. Our private transfer back to the port was needed as the traffic was worse later in the day but we made it with 1/2 hour before the last scheduled tender. The ship tours were much later coming back. But we were relaxing back on the ship by this time. Highly recommend this tour and company to explore this beautiful area.Written 28 November 2024

- KurtW4710 contributionsAwesome experience!Highly recommend. The team were very friendly and helpful and Mr. Allan was awesome. Plenty to eat and drink. Perfect amount of time at each spot. Great photo opportunities and the crew are more than happy to take photos on your phone if you are solo. Speed boat is definitely the way to go as you get around to everywhere really quick. Definitely worth paying a bit extra for the small group tour and sunrise time slot.Written 27 November 2024
- 765gabriellas0 contributionsIf I could give more than 5 stars, I would! ⭐️Firstly, Sunny and all the crew today were simply outstanding. Professional, friendly, helpful, safe, knowledgeable and fun! The tour itself was perfect for us, 4.30am pick up and just enough time at each area. It’s still busy even though it’s a sunrise tour to ‘avoid the crowds’. The highlight for me was the snorkelling! It was like being in a fish tank, unreal! One of the crew saw I was struggling a bit so stayed with me and literally held my hand, leading me to the best spots! Just fabulous! The food at breakfast and lunch was great, plenty of water and some soft drinks on board when needed too. I know you can get the same tour slightly cheaper but for me, quality, safety and professionalism are worth paying that little bit extra for! Book with V.Marine, you will not be disappointed. Pick up and drop off driver was on time and very safe too. A total, pro package! Thank you Sunny and all the crew for making our day so special. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️Written 27 November 2024
- marieelveruds0 contributionsA memorable day on the Phi Phi IslandsMy family and I loved the trip! Mr. Alan and the captain Mr. Boat did a great job. We are very happy with the trip, this was a must do for us, and we are really glad we did it. Our mother in her 60s was especially taken cared of. Mr. Alan was very attentive, smart and funny. Thank you for the good memories! I recommend highly 😊Written 26 November 2024
- 218sherriea0 contributionsGenuine hospitality on this tour!We took the very early departure with 20 people. We are glad we did! We left the main dock early and took the boat about 20 minutes out and had breakfast on a beach as the sun was coming up and so therefore, we beat the crowd of other people behind us. As we went into the various sites, we were one of the first boats there, and then other boats came in after us. Alan was our main tour guide and he was so gracious and kind and helpful. He made sure to keep us on time and safe. You can tell he really has a heart for this business and for the tourists. I give him “all the stars” for the rating of the tour!Written 26 November 2024
- Miguel G0 contributionsGreat day tripThe experience was really great! Lots of opportunity for snorkeling in beautiful spots, and also some more swimming in a gorgeous bay. - AllenS15020 contributions🤩 AmazingPick up was punctual, although early🤣 They thought of everything, including nausea tablet and chocolates before departure… Alan and the team were absolutely brilliant! Engaging and extremely courteous . The food was wonderful (and plentiful) and there was no shortage of hydration, water and soft drinks. The trip itself left us all in awe, for a second time. We can all, seven of us, highly recommend the tour!!! And really do consider the photographer option, he was very energetic and did not miss an opportunity to capture a moment, even though he had seven people to capture at various places. He “forces” you to pose and although awkward, the results are great. Highly recommended allround!Written 22 November 2024
- 559patrick0 contributionsGreat trip but beware of the garbageIt was a good trip. The staff were very helpful and friendly. The lunch was surprisingly good. The only things that were disappointing is that Kai Island where we stopped to have breakfast is disgusting. We were there 6 years ago on a different tour and it was bad then but now it is worse. The amount of garbage left from the day visitors is never picked up. It is unsafe to walk without shoes in the sand due to garbage as well as the over abundance of unhealthy looking cats. Something really needs to be done to improve it. The other disappointment was when they let us swim for the first time in a cove. They told us we could swim into 2 smaller coves and have a look around, but we could see the garbage floating in them from outside. No one wants to go swimming in garbage and no one did! Maybe these tour companies need to start working together to clean things up in this beautiful area so their businesses don't start to suffer.Written 19 November 2024
- 240kendallc0 contributionsBest Tour!We enjoyed everything about this tour! We went on the early morning tour, to avoid crowds. The boat left from the beautiful Royal Phuket Marina, we were served coffee, tea and snacks before we left. The boat was very beautiful and kept in perfect condition, very comfortable. Captain Bao provided a safe and enjoyable ride. Our guide, Alan, was so very friendly, engaging, and knowledgeable, learned everyone's names and included us all as his family. He explained what to do at each stop. We were provided a lovely breakfast on an island, and snacks, water, and sodas all along the tour. Snorkeling at several islands, beautiful buffet lunch at a resort on one island. We saw a family of monkeys on Monkey Beach! I felt very pampered and cared for by each crew member. And I cannot imagine a more professional or enjoyable tour. It was an amazing experience!Written 17 November 2024

I wouldn't go again, nor recommend to any of my friends.
As far as I experienced and read about many review of such kind of tours, I've come to the conclusion to don't purchase again any Phi Phi tour. I took so long to choose the best one but even this one that looked like the best was OK.
I must say we probably have been the most unlucky trip of the year but in my entire life I've never had such a disappointing trip.
The problems every company is facing are the time, the weather, cleanliness of water and the number of tourists.
What I didn't like: they try to stick as many islands as they can in short time. This makes the tourist rush from island to island feeling like a trip at the zoo. I personally didn't feel valued as a tourist but I felt like being a number in a mass of people. I have been in several beach paradises all over the world, overcrowded or peaceful but this feeling has just happened here in Phuket. I feel sorry to write it but I believe they have to try to manage the mass better, especially seeing how much money they ask for such services.
What I didn't like in my specific trip: unfortunately, short after the snorkeling after lunch, one of our 3 motors broke so we wasted so so so many of the things they planned to make us see. We made it to arrive at Maya bay and there we had to wait another boat to come to rescue us and this obviously took more than an hour. Once we got into the other boat there was no more time to visit anything else, plus the sea conditions at that late hours of the afternoon were terrible. This lead us,for example, to catch just a glimpse (not even a good photo was possible) of the Viking cave, feeling even lucky to arrive to that spot. That was the only thing we could reach after the motor broke.
Snorkeling: the first spot where they bring you it's a shore, I believe it was bamboo island, if you actually want to see any life under water you must swim so much away from the shore that you probably will miss the time to go back to the boat. Second spot: in the middle of the sea where I supposed to be able to see something interesting but no. Just some random little fish. So I've been left wondering whether are phi phi islands are worth to see anything under water or if we have been just unlucky to reach this place.
There was no sence in this trip, I totally felt like I wasted a day I could spend it better going in some shore of the main island enjoying more.

Greetings from V. Marine Tour,
We are deeply sorry to read that this was the feelings you felt from coming on our tour because we always wish for our guests to leave with the best experiences, memories and photos from Phi Phi Islands. Unfortunately we encountered the unexpected situation that one of the motors malfunctioned and we truly want you to know that our boat and office staff did the best they could to resolve the situation as fast as they could. We had your concerns in mind and due to limitations of having tours in the islands, things take longer to fix than for example malfunctions that can occur on land.
Overall, the time that this trip occurred was during peak season which is the most busy time of the year for all businesses and tourist attractions in Phuket and Phi Phi Islands. We wish for you to have a better outlook on how Phi Phi Islands is, but we understand that everyone has the right to their opinion.
We are still very sad to know that this is how you felt from our tour, so we kindly ask that you contact us directly by WhatsApp or email so that we can better resolve this situation. We want you to know that we sincerely care about how our guests feel and believe that we can find a way to fix this so that you can have a little bit of positivity from your island experience.

I was reluctant to go on a tour to the Phi Phi islands because I read it was so over run by tourists that it was ruining the environment, we chose this one mainly because of the snorkelling. Our tour left late because they had engine problems with the boat. The first stop was ok but not very good for snorkelling - it is extremely shallow and with the speed boats coming in constantly creates waves and you end up grazing your legs/feet/arms over the coral. It is extremely overrun with tourists. The second stop was snorkelling in open water, this was a much better experience as you are actually able to snorkel properly because the water is deep enough. The buffet lunch provided is not bad and the location is lovely, one of the quieter places out of the lot. The tour guide is very good, explains a lot about each of the locations. While the trip into Pileh Lagoon is absolutely stunning, it is also extremely crowded with dozens of tourist boats. The tour mentions time allowed for relaxing, but I did not feel there was much time for that as we are constantly getting on and off the boat with all the places you visit. Be aware that at the start of the tour, you are offered a 'photographer' for the day (at a cost!) who will photograph you professionally throughout the tour. The people who hire the photographer are given priority photographing opportunities and everyone else is pushed out of the way. This doesn't mean you can't get photos yourself, but be prepared to allow the photographer to take all the photos of the 'paying customers' first. This was probably the most disappointing part of the tour for me.

we really enjoyed it. Good information and the islands were lovely. . It does depend on the conditions. The speedboat was a good enough to the islands, there is a big distance between islands. It can get very bouncy, so make sure you either take the tablets they offer or sit where you are comfortable. Closer to the front is very bouncy. The snorkels are free but if you want to have the face one or flippers, you need to pay more. They provide soft drinks on he boat. The lunch is nice, was a few options. We went to a bar after to get a couple of drinks while looking at the beach.

Myself and my husband went on this tour on our wedding anniversary. It was a fantastic day all round. We had originally booked the day trip with lunch but were offered a free upgrade to the sunrise tour which we accepted. This included breakfast on one of the Kai islands watching the beautiful sunrise. Snorkelling locations well chosen as there were lots of fish to see.
We were provided with as water or soft drinks as we wanted and fresh fruits.
Would thoroughly recommend

We had a great time on this day-trip tour of some of the Phi Phi islands! There were only ~25 people on our boat, which could fit up to 40, and we were definitely glad for the smaller number. Our guide, Goodie, was informative while being hilarious and I would recommend him above all others for this experience!! The crew was also great, helping everyone on and off the boat, hosing people off, keeping the boat clean, etc. There was also plenty of beverages and snacks onboard, with the snacks rotating throughout the day (bananas, a kind of coconut cake sandwich which was delicious, watermelon and pineapple, waters, Coca Cola, etc.). This was our itinerary:
o We were picked up from our hotel along with a few other groups and brought to the marina. While there, we paid final balances, had a chance to get coffee and had a brief explanation of the day.
o Then, we boarded the boat and traveled for ~1 hour to get to the first location, which was Bamboo Island/Koh Pai. Bamboo Island had amazing snorkeling and swimming, and was overall gorgeous.
o Next, we went to Ko Phi Phi Don where we had a delicious buffet lunch at a resort and then had time for some swimming, in the sea or in the resort pool.
o After lunch, we went to another location for more snorkeling, which was deeper than the first stop.
o We then went to Monkey Beach, where we saw many adorable monkeys (though definitely keep your distance & old on to your hats!).
o From there, we boated past and learned about Viking Cave on our way Pileh Bay, which had high tide so we were able to go in and swim.
o Afterwards, we went to Maya Beach, which is open for people to see but people were not allowed to get more than calf deep in the water.
o After Maya beach, we headed back to the marina.

Phi Phi island trip with V Marine is the best decision we have taken in our Thailand tour. We started our tour at 7.45 am in the morning. Day before starting the trip they gave us a detailed infomation about what to expect in the trip, what to bring, what will be provided etc. You will be fully aware of your trip and activity before it starts. After we were shifted to Marina pier ,we were offered light breakfast . The manager Mr. Max again briefed us about the tour and the islands we will be covering along with the activities we will be doing. Our tour started at exactly the same time they have told us with a group of 19 people. The the speed boat was very and clean and comfortable. The captain Mr. Ray and his team was execellent. They took excellent care of every guests and also their minute needs. Refreshments ( fresh fruits, cakes) were being served in regular intervals. Coke and water was unlimited. For lunch they have taken us to a beautiful beach restaurant in one of the islands. The lunch is quite amazing with the view. V Marine has fulfilled every commitment they have made in the site , even more. The hospitality, the service all are top notch. They always tried to keep avoiding the crowds and kept our boat in the lesser busy area so that we can enjoy the scenary. Special mention to Mr. Leo (our photographer), we do recommend to hire a photographer with some extra bucks, because it is very difficult to take pictures with so much a activity in the water. Mr. Leo has taken many amazing pictures. Overall Phi Phi island tour with V Marine worth every penny. They have given us a wonderful experience.

We did the day visit to the Phi Phis with around 4-5 stops by and large. Did some swimming. Saw a few monkeys. There are visits that will let you off at monkey seashore however I can perceive any reason why this one doesn't. Such a significant number of individuals on one little seashore can truly do some harm. I'm upbeat we delighted in it from a far distance. We leased blades and the full face goggles yet I'm certain the ordinary free goggles and snorkel are fine. Bring parts and heaps of sunscreen as your out in the sun throughout the day. the lunch buffet was extraordinary and bunches of chances for pictures. the picture taker choice is extraordinary. the photographic artists make a special effort to take incredible pictures for you and of you. would do this visit once more. extraordinary help. extraordinary group.

Excellent boat tour. Highly recommend the early bird option to beat the crowds and see the areas before the sun makes it unbearable.
The company did pick up and drop off from our place in Patong. Well air conditioned vehicle, and excellent driving. Getting onto the speed boat was seamless, with only 4 other couples on the boat with us.
Agree with the reviews below that the photographer isn’t worth the money. Just ask another couple or the tour guide.
The entire day was full of fun, and the guides never let you get dehydrated - tons of water, coke, fruits, and snacks.
The scenes were picturesque! Great for a little romantic moment, and the best way to see a monkey up close!
The only negative comment was the time allocation in each area. Lots of time at the “beach” location and lunch area, but less time for the monkey island or the first snorkel location.
Otherwise - very good and fun time! Highly recommend, especially over the long boat tours.

The experience was amazing! We had originally booked the regular small group tour however after booking we got a message asking if we wanted a free upgrade to the sunrise morning tour- and thank god we did as the sunrise tour was amazing! I would 100% recommend doing the sunrise tour as not only do you get to experience an extra island + breakfast, but also you arrive at all the other islands before other boats etc so it's far less crowded. The trip was organized fantastically but our guide Sunny and the boat had free snacks, drinks etc. Lunch on PhiPhi was also delicious- an all round great day out!

From the start of this tour, it was evident that this was very, very organised and safety is a priority. We were met off the minibus after being picked up from the hotel by staff who confirmed details then led us into the main room with other staff members who then gave us a talk about the trip and various safety measures. They provided tablets for seasickness and snacks. There is the option of paying for a photographer to follow you around for the trip and take professional photographs which they will send to you. Although I have not received them yet given that the tour was yesterday, I thought it was good value - 1300 baht split between myself and my friend. Staff on the boat were exceptional and provided so much information. The islands are phenomenal and the highlight of our trip so far.
The only reason I have given this four stars instead of five is because of lunch. I am vegan and I advised staff that I was vegan prior to the trip. However when I got to the restaurant, I told the waitress as I was under the impression that something had been prepared for me. I was served something from the kitchen which had fish in. After advising them of this I was shown what buffet food was “vegan” however upon inspection the majority of this contained meat, fish of eggs. I can only assume there was a miscommunication between the restaurant and the tour as the tour staff continually spoke about my dietary requirements prior to the trip. I am lucky I took snacks with me as a backup.

How many times do you stop to snorkel ? Also do you stop at areas that is not too crowded ? Are there stops where we jump off the boat to snorkel ?
Written 13 November 2024
We stopped to snorkel 3 times and in a swimming area once. The only island that was really crowded was Maya where ‘The Beach’ was filmed.
