Cu Chi Tunnels and Countryside Tour by Luxury Speedboat
From US$89.00
The Cu Chi Tunnels are a popular destination from Ho Chi Minh, and draw lots of visitors at peak times. This small-group speedboat tour gets you there faster than by road so you beat the main crowds. Plus, you get the full lowdown on the tunnels as you explore with a guide, and enjoy lunch and stops at a cricket farm and other food producers on the return minivan journey.
What to Expect
After Ho Chi Minh hotel pickup, board a deluxe speedboat on the Saigon River and enjoy an approximately 1-hour cruise to Cu Chi. Observe the riverbanks as your guide explains local life at the farms and villages you pass, and savor onboard drinks and fresh fruit.

On arrival, enjoy a guided tour of the historical Cu Chi site and tunnels used by the Viet Cong against the Americans and other forces during the Vietnam War. Explore above and below ground to see what were once hidden supply routes, kitchens, and hospitals.

After a riverside Vietnamese lunch, set off on your return minivan journeyy, stopping on route to experience local life. Visit a herb farm and cricket farm where crickets are made into delicacies, and stop to see rice paper being made the traditional way.

Your tour then ends at your Ho Chi Minh hotel.

We were extremely happy with our choice to go with a tour that travels by speedboat rather than bus to the Cu Chi tunnels, it’s the only way to go IMO. Our guide was friendly and knowledgeable. Plenty of snacks and refreshments on the boat...More

Cu Chi Tunnels

What a great tour we had, so educational and well organised. It was a great reality check to see first-hand the ingenuity of the Vietnamese people and what they went through to survive.

Inside the Cu Chi tunnels it is very hot and a bit claustrophobic but the length you get to go down is very shot anyway.
