Interesting to visit this museum and learn about the Vietnam War from the Vietnamese perspective. Entrance was 40,000 Dong (about $2.00). The history of the war as well as the aftermath and recovery are included. Outside there are displays of the planes, tanks, prison and torture devices used.

Excellent museum
Mar 2020
Visited this museum as part of a TUI tour of Saigon. We were given about an hour and a half to ourselves here and you probably need two hours to do it justice, we were hurrying at the end to see and read everything. The museum is fascinating with an obvious Vietnamese slant on the war but informative non the less, there are some harrowing photos and texts but this is war! Excellent exhibits that you can get very close to for photos, good little cafe on site for a cold drink as it was very hot during our visit mid afternoon. Recommended!

This is the first museum that made me cry. It’s painful and realistic. What I really liked about this museum is that it has descriptions in details by people that were in the war, and there’re so many images very well explained! We can understand much better what happenned after going there.

Truly an horrific experience to see from the Vietnamese view point, it just shows the true American colours when they decide they don’t like something. Very confronting visually...a definite must see.

Well worth the visit. A bit of a reality check probably for most. Well though out and good museum. It’s in a central location so you can walk to most other place. Expect to be there at least 2 to 3 hours
