Your tour starts with hotel pickup in the morning for the drive out of Ho Chi Minh City to your first stop, a rubber tree forest. See a rubber tree, and learn about the local industry here.
Then continue to the Cu Chi Tunnels, a 120-mile (200-km) network used by the Viet Cong during the Vietnam War for hiding, living, food storage, communications, a hospital, and more. Explore the site, and then check out an agricultural village and organic farm, where you can meet the chef for a lesson in Vietnamese food and recipes. Have lunch, and then return to Ho Chi Minh City for your sightseeing tour.
Visit Chinatown and Cho Lon Market to do some shopping, if you wish, and then head to the War Remnants Museum, which is home to exhibits about the Vietnam War and the First Indochina War with the French. Your tour ends with a look at Saigon Notre Dame Cathedral and the Central Post Office, the city's two best-known examples of French colonial architecture. You'll then be returned to your hotel for drop-off.
