We used Michael Tours based upon reviews I read here on Trip Advisor. The actual tour was far beyond what I expected. Michael possesses intricate knowledge of Old Jerusalem and how it relates to the Bible. Something we never would have been able to understand on our own.
Michael was very accommodating since we asked to start a bit early. His detailed explanation of Old Jerusalem and how it evolved over the many centuries helped us a great deal to better understand the historical Biblical sites.
As we strolled through the narrow streets of the Old City, Michael would often run into friends and acquaintances, it made us feel as if we were being led through this historic area by an insider.
Our tour lasted more than six and a half hours and we enjoyed an amazing lunch inside the Walled City.
I would highly recommend using Michael Tours if you are considering a Guide in the Region!

We booked our tour based on other reviews of Michael Tours and the tour was well worth it. The communication was excellent between Michael and me and we ended up having the tour by his wife. She was excellent! I highly recommend this tour with this company.

My friend and I crossed the security border from Jerusalem to Palestine by foot and were greeted by Michael for our private tour. He is a wonderful, kind and thoughtful man. Our first stop was an outside coffee stand where Michael treated us to Arabic coffee...delicious. Our day was full with visits to Jericho, the tram to the Mount of Temptation, the Church in Shepard’s Field, church of the Nativity, we witnessed a baptism on the Jordan River. We stopped for lunch at the number one falafel restaurant in Palestine. We visited an artisan who carved wood from olive branches, stopped to see some of the Banksy street art, a trip to see the wall close up which was very sad but the graffiti was very moving. Michael was so knowledgeable and willing to discuss the sensitive topic of relations between Israel and Palestine. We always felt we were safe and in good hands. It was a beautiful day and I feel lucky to have shared it with our guide, Michael.

This is a MUST DO tour for anyone traveling to Israel and please do NOT be intimidated by the headlines (I’m American). Bethlehem and the West Bank were totally safe, and even better, you get to understand the conflict from the Palestinian perspective which is eye opening. What makes this tour so great is how informative and knowledgeable Michael is about the insane history of the place and the current geo-political dynamics between Palestine and Israel (also he is a super fun cool guy!). Seeing the Banksy hotel and museum is an absolute must and ended up being the highlight for me. Also, make sure Michael takes you to the Arabic coffee spot in old town Bethlehem. It’s incredible. Don’t think twice - just book it and thank me later.

We had a fantastic 1/2 day tour with Michael. Even though I have been to Bethlehem multiple times, I learned substantially more on this tour. My favorite part was how thoughtful and insightful. Michael was in his explanations/interpretations, whether that was around biblical, historical, or cultural matters. The excellent content of the tour was matched by Michael's warmth, graciousness, and care for our group of four. He went the "extra mile" for us in several ways.

Our tour with Michael went at my pace, which was fairly slow as I was riding a hired mobility scooter. Regardless that parts of the tour had to be trimmed because of physical barriers, it was still an excellent tour that included the Church of the Nativity and Shepherds Field. We made our own way to the border by taxi, then crossed on foot and were met by Michael on the other side. We had a great day and would love to visit again and take an extended tour with Michael. Hopefully our chance will come.

This was the best tour we have ever had. Fadi was an outstanding guide in every way possible. He communicated exceptionally well and made us feel comfortable the whole time we were there. It was so interesting to see the sights: from the wall, Banksy art, "stars and bucks" coffee shop, to the place of the birth of Christ and places where the angels kept watch, it was all fascinating. We were immersed in the warmth and hospitality of the Palestinian people. My daughter left her phone in Fadi's car and he crossed the checkpoint to return it to us the next day. This is a can't miss tour and our guide was truly the best.

This was our first stop on our first trip to Israel. We wanted to learn as much as we could and see everything with our own eyes. Michael was an excellent guide. He met us on time took us around in his car to see the Bansky's which I had seen before but never really knew about. Fascinating. We went to the wall and Bansky's hotel and had tea with a charming local man and the best Falafel ever. I highly recommend this tour.

Wow! This tour was phenomenal. Michael is a professional, friendly, knowledgeable guide. We loved learning from him and he planned the day perfectly so we never felt rushed and even the kids found the day fascinating. Drinking tea and chatting was perhaps our favorite part even though the visits to the sites exceeded our expectations. You will not regret booking with Michael.

My daughter and I were visiting Bethlehem for the first time and booked the tour with Michael based on the excellent reviews on TripAdvisor. From the very first contact with Michael he exceeded all expectations. He sent us clear directions about how to travel to Bethlehem from Jerusalem and contacted us on my mobile to confirm arrangements the day before. We arrived 15 minutes early at the border but Michael came straight away to meet us.
The tour was fascinating. Michael has an impressive knowledge of history. We learnt so much about ancient history but also about more recent events. It was very thought provoking to hear the perspective of Palestine in the current situation although Michael's description was not political or uncomfortable. It was very emotional seeing the wall dividing Israel and Palestine and to realise that events are not always reported in our media without bias.
Michael was also very knowledgeable about the architecture and art in the churches. It was fascinating to see the restoration processes that are taking place.
Bethlehem was a very peaceful and friendly place. Everyone was welcoming and there was a great sense of community.
It was great to be in a small group as we could ask Michael lots of questions. He was also able to access some of the busier sites much more quickly than the large groups. Michael was kind, gentle and generous with his time. We had been slightly anxious about going to Bethlehem based on concerns from family members (based on erroneous media reports) but we needn't have been. We felt completely safe and wouldn't hesitate to go again.
This was a visit that will stay in our memories for a very long time.
