About
Holy Jerusalem is a complex city, thousands of years old, a place of yearning and identification for Jews, Christians, and Moslems. Join me on a walking tour during which we will meet and talk with people from the wide variety of cultures and religions who live in the Old City. We will visit holy places of the three religions: the Dome of the Rock, the Western Wall, the Church of the Holy Sepulcher, and more. As we wend our way through charming narrow streets, we will enjoy hidden courtyards, view the city from concealed roofs, be intoxicated by myriad scents in the colorful markets, taste authentic foods, and hear stories of the past and present that provide food for thought.

Knowledge experience and taste of more
Aug 2021
A week ago we were on a multi-age family tour of the Old City of Jerusalem led by Elad.
Elad managed to captivate, interest and intrigue the fifties and teenagers alike.
The trip had an exact dose of intellectual wealth, rich knowledge in many areas and a multi-sensory experience of sights, sounds, smells of tastes and human encounters with characters that came our way.
Elad was very open and flexible according to the interests of the various participants (religions, politics, geography, archeology, history, sociology and more). Demonstrated great attention to our needs and desires and tailored the tour for us like a glove.
After 3 wonderful hours we finished with an experience that resonates in all of us and with a taste of more.

Virtual Tour of Jerusalem
Mar 2020
I went on a tour of the Old City of Jerusalem with Elad a year ago with a group of 12 and had an amazing experience! I was planning to send another group this past March, however we were forced to cancel because of COVID-19.

Elad reached out and offered to do a Virtual Tour & Experience for our group via Zoom. It was a really beautiful experience and helped us to momentarily leave our physical space in quarantine and truly be present to one another. He shared with us his story & experience via Zoom. He utilized Google Earth to take us on a virtual tour of the Old City and shared with us the stories of the holy sites there. Such a wonderful experience in the midst of all this chaos and change. I highly recommend requesting a virtual tour with him during this time!

Don't miss out - Elad Vazana, is the real deal in peace activism.
Jan 2020
Elad is perfect for the group of intellectuals, adventurers, educators and journalists.

As a cradle Catholic with super-religious parents, he was able to share so much that would be meaningful to me, he showed a Benedectine monastery that was not overrun by tourists....where you actually the sense of peace as sounds echo through...all that of course to contrast the destructiveness of its founders, the Crusaders, who were anything but peaceful. An anthropology major in college, he also showed me an extraordinarily well-preserved archaeological site from the Canaanites, that featured an impressive irrigation and laundry system.

No matter where you go in the world, if you go on a lot of tours, they start to blend in...you could be on any continent and they start to feel the same. Not with Elad. You don't feel like you're on a "tour" with Elad, butmore that you're being guided as a friend, and explore a place where people can, on the one hand, be divided by deeply held tensions and history, but also be very open, connected and warmly receiving.

Before his current work in facilitation and education, Elad Vazana was actually leading a very successful career in high-tech but deliberately put that aside to pursue higher mission and calling in. Looking back, Elad is very alpha male, and is great in peace in the way that he was strong in business, technology and the military...really book-smart and street-smart, very capable of figuring things out, very good with people.

I have spent 10 days in Israel with a group of wonderful people and we were guided by Elad every step of the way. The tour was perfectly organized, I felt safe and looked after in every moment. Elad is extremely professional and highly knowledgeable. I felt as if I was in the company of a human encyclopedia. Elad's insightful and compassionate approach made a big difference. He offered us a unique perspective on Israel's culture and history and by the time we needed to part ways I felt as if I was saying goodbye to a long time friend. I am extremely grateful to him and his team for making my Israel trip an unforgettable one. I returned home a richer and a better human being. Thank you Elad and see you again soon❣

Of all the tours we've been on, this one was the most profound and impactful. Elad expertly weaved the the story of the past, present and possible futures of the region in both an engaging and enlightening way. He is a true shepherd with his "flock."

Knowledgeable, warm, heartfelt and wonderful
We toured with Elad as our guide for 11 days. His knowledge of Israel, of its sites, of its lifestyle and people, and his personal insights and sensitivities of our group’s varied interests and backgrounds was remarkable. He is a warm caring person and has a wonderful sense of humor. His personal insights and life story made our tour seem as if it had been put together just for us. Couldn’t be any better!! He worked tirelessly for long hours to deliver very caring guidance.

The Guide Makes All The Difference!
Mar 2020 • Friends
We were so blessed to have Elad as our guide through Israel. His compassionate, meaningful narrative made all the difference on our trip as we delved into the rich history, explored landmarks, & embarked on adventures throughout Israel. Elad gave us such a deep, honest, & compassionate understanding of the culture & it’s history & was always willing to go the extra mile to make our experience phenomenal. Because of Elad, I learned much more & gained a greater perspective than I could have imagined & we all shared many smiles & beautiful moments & had a wonderful time. I feel so fortunate to have been on this trip & know how important Elad was in interpreting, explaining, & sharing so much information with us. This is the guide you want!!! Thank you so much, Elad, for making our trip so powerful & unforgetable!

You Will Leave the Holy Land Better than You Arrived
Feb 2020
There are only two things that can happen when you visit the Holy Land: You can hire a regular tour guide to show you the area's beautiful, sacred, magnificent and most ancient holy sites, cities, markets, churches and mosques. Or, you can immerse yourself in its deep history and devout heart, experience its passionate people and rich culture at an intimate level, expose yourself to the uncomfortable complexities of the region's conflicts, and discover - with profound hope - that peace, coexistence, tolerance, love and understanding is possible in this world. You probably won’t go wrong with whatever tour company you choose. But if you choose Elad Vazana at Tour for Change to guide you through the Holy Land, your spirit will be transformed, enlightened, broken and uplifted, and you will leave the Holy Land better than you arrived.

Another 5 star review for Elad
Mar 2020
This was my 5th trip to Israel, but having Elad as a tour guide made the whole experience seem new and exciting. Elad wears many hats - he's a father, former tank commander and a peace advocate. But during our trip, his main concern was for our safety and comfort, and his genuine love for Israel and its people was so clear to all of us. Whether you're planning a trip with children, students, or adults of any age, I can't imagine a more personable and knowledgable guide than Elad. Highly recommended!
