Terrible customer service
Apr 2020
Terrible customer service. After having my trip cancelled due to COVID, they indicated I would be receiving a full refund. I followed up several weeks later after I had not seen the refund post to my card. They indicated that the process was being slowed by the banks. However, after nearly two months I followed up with them again to inquire when they anticipated I might see the refund. After almost two weeks, I have heard nothing back from them. I understand that their business has been severely impacted by these unique circumstances and would have been willing to forgo the refund for just rebooking when conditions improve but the total lack of communication leaves me with the impression that they are perfectly fine with just taking their customers money for services not rendered. I would not recommend this company and will not be booking with them when i travel to Israel at a later date.

Magical experience
A early wake-up for a wonderful sunrise. We left Tel-Aviv at 2 A.M and arrived at Masada at 5. Don't forget to take hiking shoes, the climb is sharp. At the top, the reward : a beautiful sight on death sea valley and a magical sunrise. After you have the time to visit the fortress before going back to the bus.
Ein Gedi is a small and beautiful oasis with waterfall. It's a short walk (about 40 minutes).
The last stop, the dead sea where you can take a little bath. Showers and fitting room are available free of charge.
After come back to Tel Aviv at the middle of the afternoon. A great experience that we highly recommande.

Well worth the early start for the sunrise!
Feb 2020 • Couples
We really enjoyed the hike - we did rush up as we thought we wouldn’t make it in time for sunrise, but in the end had plenty of time. The views at Masada are amazing. Ein Gedi was nice but we were pretty tired from the hike, but there’s an easy enough, short walk you can do there. The sun had disappeared by the time we got to the Dea Sea which was also freezing, but we braved it and had a quick dip.

We got picked up in Tel Aviv and dropped back in Jerusalem. This was the only tour I could see that this could be agreed in advance, others said it was down to the driver on the day. We did pay extra for this.

It was all arranged well, we got back earlier than planned but nothing felt rushed. Would definitely recommend!

I really enjoyed this trip. Most tours i have been in the past seem to be rushed but not this one which was a pleasant surprise. The tour guides managed the time well for each place we visited. The tour guide and his assistant were very knowledgeable and friendly too! I definitely recommend this trip!

Horrible company, will not honor cancellation policy and refund us
Dec 2019
My friend (who lives in Israel) booked this tour for myself and my boyfriend- we were coming to visit her on 23/12/19. On the night we were supposed to fly out, our flight got canceled due to technical problems. My friend called Tourist Israel right away, and I also emailed them, asking them to cancel our tour due to these circumstances completely out of our control. The company is refusing to refund us, stating that because their office was not open at the time we called to cancel, they cannot refund us. They keep attempting to re-book us on another tour, not understanding that we will not be making it to the country at all anymore. I have sought help from my credit card company who is investigating separately. My advice, DO NOT go with this company - they care more about making money off of people than being decent, respectable human beings. No other company or hotel gave us this much trouble about canceling, understanding that this situation was completely out of our control. Absolutely terrible customer service.

Hi 145elizap, thank you for your feedback. While we understand that this is a frustrating and unfortunate situation that was out of your control, we clearly state in our Terms & Conditions that we have a 48-hour cancelation policy and if a tour is canceled within 48 hours of the tour start time we cannot issue a refund, we can only rebook the tour for another date. After reviewing you and your friend's correspondence with our team again, it is clear that a cancelation request was not made until a few hours after 6:30 AM two days before your tour, your friend even said in her email that she requested it a bit after the 48-hour deadline, which means it did not make the cutoff for refunds. As we communicated via email, the offer to rebook the tour does not expire, so although you will not be making it this trip, we hope you are able to make it to Israel someday and we will be happy to send you on your tour then.

One of a kind experience
Dec 2019 • Solo
This trip was really a great experience.

While there were challenges, they were actually fun to be faced with and the group came together very quickly. The driver was very nice and accommodating, but he didn’t speak any English. We used google translate to communicate with worked quite well; there is also free Wi-Fi aboard.

This is a self guided tour and there is no in depth information available other than what is shared at the national parks.

If there were two recommendations I’d give, it’d be to ensure there is at least one English speaking driver or a Hebrew speaking passenger aboard, and also more time at the sites. You spend a lot of time in nature and it’s very grounding to be able to rest rather than hurry up.

The sunrise hike is so so worth it. And it’s great for solo travelers as you bond very quickly with the rest of the group.

Overall, I definitely recommend this trip or - to have more time at each site - renting a car and exploring on your own.

Thanks for offering this experience.

Hi 927rbta, thank you for your feedback. The sunrise hike on Masada is definitely worth the early wake up and we're glad you enjoyed it! As you said, it is a lot to see in one day so while going on your own would allow more time in each site, we do our best to provide an easy, organized experience that gives tourists with limited time a hassle-free way to hit all these bucket list places. We appreciate your recommendations and will be sure to pass it on to our operations team!

So worth checking out.
You start with a hike at the Masada Rock to watch the sunrise, which is so beautiful & humbling.

After that you go to Ein Gedi where you can hike through the park to find springs & waterfalls. You even meet some cute wombat & mountain goats.

And you end the day with a nice visit to the Dead Sea, where you float away & forget the world around you for a little bit.

Thank you for a great birthday!
