We recently visited Tel Aviv (November 2022) on a wider trip (which the food tour was part of). Fortunately, Tal was our guide for the 4 days we spent in Tel Aviv. I would like to start by saying that Tal was fantastic! Tal clearly knows her history of Tel Aviv (and wider Israel) she was incredibly friendly and happy to answer all questions we had.
The food tour is truly a unique experience! Israel is a foodie capital, the markets are full of stalls selling delicious dishes (both sweet and savoury). It can feel slightly overwhelming (where do you start? What do you have first). It is therefore, best to sign up for a food tour and have a local take you around. We definitely felt that we received good value for money (by the end of the tour we felt so full). Tal knows the local vendors and took us to the best stalls. The portions were large (some of us could not finish everything served!). Tal also checks that everyone is full- so no one is left hungry!
I would highly recommend the roti wraps (with egg filling)- they were the highlight of our trip! I will definitely, sign up for this tour again on my next trip to TA!

We scheduled a tour with Tal on one of our very first days to familiarize ourselves with the area. Touring with Tal felt like visiting a friend. She didn't just take us to the typical touristy spots, but she took us where locals were. We toured Carmel Market and it was evident that she has deep connections with the vendors at the market. She shared the evolution of the area and how that's affected the residents that lived there and gave us her perspective. You cannot replace the information she shared with an article from the internet or a book. Her personal, local knowledge is irreplaceable and we are definitely glad we did this. We've taken several tours in several different countries and this is the BEST tour we've ever taken.

The culinary tour of the Carmel Market was everyone's favorite memory of our trip to Israel. Tal was an excellent guide who clearly had a great rapport with the local vendors and expertly guided us through some the market's best offerings. She managed to delight the adults, teens and the first grader in our group. We learned a lot and ate a ton of amazing and memorable food!

Really interesting and enjoyable tour of Carmel Market with Tal. She did an amazing job of managing our food allergies including calling quite a few of the vendors before our trip. It was a very enjoyably three hours with at least three of the stops delivering “best we’ve ever tasted” results in that food category. Great way to spend our first full day in Israel and Tal also gave us some interesting recommendations for other things to do. Great job Tal!

This tour was amazing! Our tour guide, Tal, was wonderful, cheerful, and not only showed hidden secrets and tastes of the market, but also provided fascinating history of the market and surrounding area.
We tried foods that we wouldn’t have know to pick, and are very grateful to have been introduced to. Tal did a great job selecting the perfect stops, timed out just right, with a great variety.
You will enjoy this tour!

I've done these before and often it is simply tasting food in the local hidden spots, a great time. However, Tal brings things to the next level. She is a local of Tel Aviv who is clearly passionate about what she is doing and about her city. The tour begins with a delicious juice and a short walk. During this time Tal will educate you about Tel Aviv and its people. This is an important aspect of the tour because it will allow you to understand the food and the people behind it. With all the different cultures in Tel Aviv it is important to know the story behind things, including the food!
After your walk, which ends at a local bread shop to taste fresh local bread, the food really begins! You will sample falafel, fish sandwiches, spices and fruit, local cocktails, pits sandwiches from Panda Pita ( OMG Amazing!) and more. The falafel we tried is the best we have tasted anywhere in Israel.
If you have the time this tour is definitely worth the money. The experience with Tal is a memory that will last you a lifetime, seriously.

Tal was an amazing tour guide. This was so much more than just learning about Carmel Market and tasting a wide variety of delicious food. We learned about history of the area and met vendors. Highly recommend this tour, but especially Tal!

This was an amazing in depth tour of the market, the surrounding neighborhoods, and the food. Tal spoke from her own experience as was very knowledgeable, answering every question. My favorite part was when we would have a dish and Tal would say "and this is the spice we met before..." showing how the tour built on itself throughout the day. Would highly recommend, could not have found all the spots or learned it all myself

This was the absolute best culinary tour of Israel, from the back alley bakery to the restaurant where Schistel was filmed. I have never not been able to eat every sampling of the culinary delights offered on a foodie tour until now, but I had to eventually stop. BUT, I was compelled to return the following day and retrace the menu. Our guide Tal mixed a gastronomical adventure with a unique historical perspective of Tel Aviv.
This is a don’t miss tour. Don’t eat the day before the tour.
