My favourite part of the experience was our guide Abdul.

We knew what we had come here to see, we have been planning this trip for a lifetime, but Abdul made these places come to life for us with his passion and gift for telling the stories. The story of the Colossi of Memnon is beautiful. I won't share it, you need to come and hear for yourself. It's obvious he is very experienced and educated and he finds a way to bring this to you that is engaging and memorable, not just a boring history class.

The sites them selves, they absolutely live up to the hype. The way the day is programmed is perfect with the 'wow' getting bigger and bigger at each stop, ending with the biggest wow of all, the Tomb of Queen Nefertari. If you are wondering if it is worth the expensive admission fee....ITS WORTH IT !!!! Mind absolutely BLOWN. Honestly, I've seen some pretty impressive things in my life but this took the cake......it took the whole cake shop and the baker and it took nanna's book of cake recipes.

It's not a cheap tour and we thought long and hard about spending this much money on one day. But the level to which we were looked after was worth every penny. The car was spotless and looked quite new, the aircon was deliciously cool for after you climbed out of sweaty tombs. We didn't have to line up for any tickets. Everything we saw was beautifully explained to us before we saw it. It was just all so seamless and an absolutely perfect day.

We had a bad experience at our home the day we had originally booked to do the tour and had to ask if the date could be changed. Abdul gave up his day off to take us on the new date after he heard of our bad news. Another example of his caring and kindness that we were very touched by and appreciated so much.

We super mega hugely recommend this tour and if you are able to ask for Abdul to be your guide, I 100% guarantee you will have a great experience.

Inshalla we will see you again one day Abdul, we hope your passion for history and discovery brings you good luck in the future.

No other company advertises this particular tour, yet it is the highlight of and the primary reason to come to Luxor. While other companies may be able to put this together, if you want to see the Valley of the Kings and be sure to get into the tombs of King Tut, Ramses lll and most of all Nefertari's, which are both limited, then you must take this tour. Our tour guide was Ragab Khalid who was an excellent guide and was born and raised on the West Bank. The small town of Quorna which is at the entrance to the Valley of the Kings and who are the descendants of the Egyptians who sculpted the tombs have magnificent alabaster pieces the quality of which are hard to find. These are not tourist junk shops, and if you leave, you will not find anything at these prices and quality. I made the mistake of not buying and regretted it later. As for the tombs, we started with King Tut's which is beautiful and well preserved. We had been in the Egyptian Museum the day before, and to now see the tomb and Tut himself whose mummy is back inside his tomb under glass in a climate controlled glass case is amazing. Next we saw Ramses lll with is deeper and more elaborate than Tut's. Then after seeing several other smaller tombs we came to Nefertari. It is unbelievable in the beauty of its paintings and the state of their preservation. DO NOT miss this tomb. You may think the cost of this tour is more than other tours but do not be fooled. The cost of the entry fees alone was 2180 egyptian pounds per person, which is included, or $139 USD. Second, my suggestion is that you cannot combine the East and West bank in one day. There is too much to see unless that is all the time you have but then you will just touch the surface of both. Ragab did a great job and this tour is essential to your visit of Luxor

We had an amazing private tour with Abdul touring the temples and tombs of the east and west bank of Luxor, Egypt. The day started with a great introduction to the city of Luxor and detailed but flexible run down of our itinerary for the day. While exploring the tombs and temples of the west bank Abdul explained everything about the sites that we visited and readily answered all of our questions. From the very first monument to the last temple, you could tell that he was very passionate about what he does, and his enthusiasm and pure joy made the whole day even more exciting. Our enjoyment increased as the day went on; as we explored the more we enjoyed our magnificent guide Abdul. Toward the end of the day our joy didn't decrease because Abdul gave us stimulating and interactive conversations that increased our interest on each and every temple making each site more enjoyable than the last. I recommend that any one wanting to explore Luxor with a knowledgeable and friendly guide should ask for Abdul! You'll love every minute of it!!!!

Our guide was Maged Mahgoub. Maged was incredibly well versed in all the history of the sites we visited. He was the best guide that we had in Egypt hands down. Prepare for a long, but enjoyable, day as your are going to visit a large amount of sites. All the entrance fees, including Queen Nefertari's tomb, were covered in the tour price. At the Valley of the Kings, you get access to three Ramses tombs + King Tut's tomb. All the tombs are incredible to see for the hieroglyphs, but Queen Nefertari's tomb surpasses them all. Lunch is included and travel was in a comfortable van with A/C. Luxor is very hot. Lastly, Luxor Travels had great communication through email. They answered all the questions I had prior to arrival and arranged for airport pickup so that we could fly directly from Cairo and start our tour without losing a day of travel.

This tour was the highlight of our time in Luxor. Visiting the tombs was an incredible experience where one tomb was more decorated and ornate then the last one. Ragab, our tour guide was extremely knowledgeable and sat us down for a conversation on what to look for in each tomb. Ragab made our day and we enjoyed spending it with him. Ragab had previously worked in The Valley of the Kings helping excavate one of the tombs so his passion for the area was felt and shared. In addition, he brought to our attention that Nefertari’s tomb had been closed to the public for a number of years. Her tomb was the most ornate one and was incredibly well preserved.
As a suggestion, please stock up on a bunch of smaller bills to tip the workers in each tomb, they help make the experience much more fun and impactful since they are the ones helping to point out interesting parts of each tomb(guides are not allowed to enter the tombs with you).

We had a wonderful tour with Raqab! We booked this tour through Airbnb and Raqab was flexible to meet us after our air balloon ride (arranged also through him). He made sure we were comfortable all day, had enough water and that we had a nice lunch (delicious food from local restaurant). The best part was hearing about the history from Raqab’s knowledge but also that he made it fun and interesting. We really enjoyed ourselves!

There is a reason this tour ranks as highly as it does on Trip Advisor - simply put, it’s the best. My guide was both personable and entertaining as well as deeply knowledgeable. The comfort of the air conditioned private car and not having to deal with entry tickets and large groups of fellow tourists also make this a great option. Yes, it is significantly more expensive than the other tours available, but with that price comes a relaxed, stress free, comfortable experience and access to Queen Nefertiti’s tomb, which, if you’re lucky like this traveler was, you will have all to yourself!
Do yourself a favor and spend a little more for this once in a lifetime kind of visit to some of the true wonders of the world.

Booked this two days beforehand looking a little more breadth of activities on the west bank. Ragab replied soon after booking and confirmed the start time. Pick-up and getting started was very smooth, Ragab clearly has had a lot of experience that he could share both regarding the tombs, the surrounding area and ancient Egyptian culture. Would highly recommend to others

This was a stirring day. From the moment our guide Khalid, and driver Sayed (the Mummy) picked us up, we knew we were in for a wondrous adventure. Khalid was so knowledgeable about everything we were seeing, and he imparted that knowledge to us in an easy and relaxed manner - not lecturing to ignorant tourists. He gave us hints of how to act, and tip, induced the tombs so that we would have the best experience possible. Seeing King Tutankhamen in his tomb - by ourselves - was awe inspiring. And, when Khalid guided us to Nefertari's tomb in the almost empty Valley of the Queens we were moved by its beauty. Every tourist should know that Egypt is safe and friendly, and with guides such as Khalid and Sayed, totally enjoyable.
