Beijing Day Trip of Mutianyu Great Wall and Ming Tombs by Bus
From US$39.00
Overview
Visit two UNESCO World Heritage Sites in one day on this tour to the Mutianyu Great Wall and Ming Tombs. Arrive with the ease of private transportation and explore on your own upon arrival—your guide is available to answer any questions but won’t rush you through your tour. All entrance fees, an included lunch, and visits to a jade factory and tea ceremony add to this tour’s great value.
What to Expect
Your tour begins with morning pickup from your Beijing hotel. Begin to learn about Chinese imperial history as your guide navigates traffic en route to the 500-year-old Ming Tombs. Spend two hours exploring an underground mausoleum and royal tombs on your own.

Then, eat a traditional Chinese lunch before heading to a jade carving factory to learn about the culture and craft of jade in Chinese society.

Next, continue to the Mutianyu Great Wall, one of the best-preserved parts of the Great Wall. Optionally ride a cable car to the highest point (own expense), or relax and walk the wall on your own.

Conclude your tour with a traditional tea ceremony and hotel drop-off.

The Great Wall & Ming Tombs Tour

The entire trip takes most of the day. After you have your lunch at the Great Wall, you are given 90 minutes before you have to be back at the bus.

If you call and book the service you can tell them the name of your hotel or the metro stop and they will pick you up there. The metro stop may be easier as the hutong roads are pretty narrow.
