- gpwarnock0 contributionsGreat food tourWonderful experience. Wonderful guide. Wahida was in contact with us prior to our arrival in Singapore and stayed connected to make sure that our meet up and experience went smoothly. Terrific food choices and feeling for the city and its history. Hawker stalls was a real highlight. She selected wonderful tasting and authentic dishes for us. She was open to any requests we made.Written 14 January 2025
- stevesheps0 contributionsA very interesting evening of S’pore Hawkers street food. Our guide Adam was a very nice guy, perfect English, and knowledgeable about local food and also history of S’pore, which was v interesting. I’d been on business to S’pore many times in the past, but not to any of the streets that Adam showed us! We had Indian, Halal and Chinese food, fully explained by Adam. Was it all to our taste? No! But that’s fine, the point of the tour was to experience what the local street food was in the various quarters of the city, and you’re not going to like all of them. All in all, a very interesting and worthwhile experience.Written 13 January 2025

Stan is also a great picture taker for us as he knew where to take them & allowed us to focus on where we were & what we were learning! He sent us all pics when we were done…so accommodating! A definite pro in what he does!Written 11 January 2025

We had booked a full day private walking tour through City Unscripted.
We were very fortunate to have been assigned Mr Kenny Chen, the highest-rated guide in Singapore. We were particularly impressed with his work ethics, since he accepted the tour despite that being the Chinese New Year day, when no other guides were working.
On the day of the tour, Kenny arrived right on time, and we spent a fantastic, very educational full day tour with Kenny. We certainly got an excellent overview of Singapore with lots of historical and cultural facts. He is a highly intelligent person, with in-depth knowledge of history, arts and architecture. He is unique in a sense that he sets very high expectations for himself to provide the best service for his clients as a tour guide.
The tour definitely has exceeded our expectation, and we highly recommend Kenny and indeed City Unscripted for a full day private walking tour in Singapore.
In fact, when a particular issue had arisen a few days before our trip, the owner and founder of the company (Ms Anna Kerekes) had personally took care of it.

I loved my tour with Priscilla! We worked together to create an itinerary, and she did a great job of helping me make the most of my two days in Singapore. I was traveling alone, so it was nice to have a knowledgeable guide and companion. She showed me how to use the transit, and I was able to pay if forward the next day. Plus, she took suggested photo spots and took my picture, which was a fun add.
She even had tickets to sell to me for attractions, so that I wouldn't have to wait in line, which was another added bonus. My only recommendation would be to ask for the additional costs in advance. I ran out of cash by the end of the tour. (There are plenty of ATMs; it wasn't huge deal.)

Polina was an excellent guide for my 8 hour tour of Singapore. We ate a traditional Singaporean breakfast and travelled to the Gardens by the Bay. We walked along the waterfront to the Merlion statue and around many other areas of the city, including Chinatown and Little India. There were many photo opportunities in our 11 mile walk around! The tour company City Unscripted, did a very good job in matching me with Polina who was very knowledgeable and had planned the day to perfection, along with a few unexpected hidden gems we agreed on that day. Thanks so much Polina, I hope to see you again soon!
I recommend this tour to anyone wanting a full day experience to see as much of Singapore as they can in a short time.

We booked ( and prepaid ) the private tour in Singapore for a group of 4 people well over a month in advance. On the day before we arrived I reached out to our tour guide to confirm the meeting location and other details of our tour. He confirmed everything and said he’d meet us in the morning. Late that evening I got a message that he wasn’t able to do our tour. I got a hold of the tour group and they rescheduled us with another guide. On the morning of our tour we got another note that our tour guide wasn’t able to do our tour.
Bottom line… we planned our whole trip in Singapore around this tour and they stiffed us!!! Yes we got our money back but we would have much preferred the tour we were promised!
I believe they canceled because we booked the your for a Saturday and they just didn’t want to work the weekend. In any case we were very disappointed and wouldn’t recommend booking with them in the future

Cheryl led an excellent tour and provided my group with some awesome local food. She fit a lot of places into a short time period and made the cost of the tour 100% worth it. We went to a lot of places we probably wouldn’t have went to by ourselves so having a local give the tour was a huge plus. I will definitely take this tour again if I come back to Singapore.

Priscilla was very communicative and laid out an itinerary weeks before our trip. She was flexible and adapted the schedule based on our preferences. She was so kind and informative. Our guide Jimmy met us at our hotel and one thing that I appreciated was that even though he had our brief from the various email communications, he took a few minutes to get to know us and to go over our itinerary to make sure that we were going to see what we wanted and that everyone was on the same page. His English is excellent and having grown up in Singapore he was able to paint a picture of the area 'then and now'. He was a wealth of information. He also takes pictures of your group - avoiding the awkward selfies. We thoroughly enjoyed our time with him and we recommend him to anyone visiting Singapore!

Note: 4h walking tour booked. Questionnaire filled out in advance (which asks you what you are interested in/not interested in, important things to you such as foods/arts/history and walking pace).
2 stars given only for the positive note that our guide Danny was punctual and very friendly! However, in general the experience was not as we were hoping for. Upon meeting us, Danny asked what we were looking for in this tour. I stated my parents and I were very interested in experiencing the different cultures of Singapore, as well as visiting any iconic religious temples/places of worship. I clearly stated that we were NOT interested in shopping malls or any form of gardens as we had a few days to explore on our own and would do those things then.
We first visited a modern Buddha temple (tooth temple) which was beautiful, but after that Danny took us to Gardens by the Bay, despite me saying we did not want to visit any gardens. After just under an hour of walking around the gardens, I asked Danny to move on to the next activity as he thought we wanted to explore the gardens further. After this, he took us to the Marina Bay Sands shopping mall where we spent over an hour walking around and eating, again, despite me saying we wanted to avoid any shopping malls. His plan was then to take us to Kampong Glam and then lastly to the iconic Bugis market. We walked to Kampong Glam and I spotted the mosque and asked to go in. At this point, Danny announced that the tour was over. When I asked about the Bugis market, he said his time was over.
Unfortunately, we were very disappointed. Despite him asking us what we wanted to do and us stating exactly what we did not want to see, he used over half the allocated time of the tour to see exactly what we did not want to - the gardens and the shopping mall. Our guide also did not talk much about the history of Singapore at all, but then again we did not visit historical sites. He did a lot of pointing to things, such as the observation deck and the apple store. But not what we were hoping for at all.
Time management was also an issue: he also did not plan the tour well and therefore ran out of time and just left us in Kampong Glam before we could visit the last place. We spent 30mins at the temple, 1 hour walking around the gardens, 1 hour at the mall, and about 30mins at Kampong Glam. And 1 hour total travelling. Not how we hoped the time would be used.
Lastly, I specifically mentioned in my form that my parents were 70 years + and are great walkers, but walk at a slow pace. There is even an option on the form for you to choose your walking pace, and I chose 'slow/take my time' to cater for my parents. Unfortunately Danny walked incredibly fast leaving my parents behind and I would have to slow down to wait for them and lead them.
From this experience, I would avoid this tour and go with the other tour companies advertised, even though they may be more pricey. Disappointing.

We booked our guide as we weren’t sure we would see everything we wanted in a larger group or that we would we able to choose the pace of the day. Ying was an excellent guide and took care to include not only places we had mentioned but, as she’d taken time to gauge what we enjoyed when visiting a new city, was able to select places to eat, drink and shop that suited our tastes. She was also able to recommend ideas for the rest of our stay. We learned so much, saw such a lot and had a fun day. It was well worth it!

After meeting my guide Polina we went on a lovely walking tour through the iconic neighborhoods of Singapore. She took me to this incredible Rooftop garden on the 51floor with fantastic views - truly a hidden gem!!!! On our way, she pointed out some beautiful artwork painted on walls that depicted sceneries of the Asian lifestyle. There was time to check out street markets, and she even helped me to find souvenirs. I highly recommend this walking tour with Polina; even after we separated, she send me recommendations for my stay in Singapore

The 3 hour trip can be focal and the 8 hour trip can be leisurely and planned. I had a terrific guide (Polina) and I spent time ahead of this trip reading about ALL the things I might be interested in. This is a "pesonalized" tour, so Polina then just created a plan for what I wanted. I did this tour the firist day of my week-long stay, and Polina then helped me plan where I would go the rest of the week (leaving museums and the zoo and hiking and Little India and Arab Street and restaurants for other days). She created a "spine" of the city (Botanical Garden straight down through the main part of the city, ending at the Marina Bay for the evening light show). I could not have imagined a better plan or better guide. Great memories and amazing photographs.

What kind of vehicle and is is air conditioned? Can we be picked up at the cruise terminal and then dropped off at the airport. Is transportation from each point of interest by vehicle or public transportation and how much walking is involved. Can the vehicle accommodate our luggage? Please respond ASAP as we need to book.
