    Would defiantly recommend experience
    Our guild was Teng who was very friendly and knowledgeable. We really enjoyed the experience apart from a few showers of rain. All the food was very nice and locally sourced, places we would never of found thank you Teng.

    The food and different types of food was great to try. And a great variety. Nothing too adventurous. Didn’t like the ice dessert at the end though. Think Jon was disappointed. Very interesting and informative. Jon was wonderful.

    Fantastic learning experience.
    Booked this trip ages ago. Loy and his driver turned up and I was a little hesitant… but the experience was fantastic. Loy was knowledgeable and answered all of our silly questions. We saw and learned so much. The following day we returned to some of the places to really immerse ourselves in the culture. Thanks Loy and driver. You were fabulous and we would highly recommend you to any visitors to Singapore.

    We had a fun time with our guide J who took us to some off the local Hawker Stalls and areas in Singapore.
    Our guide was a local and was great. We toured some of the areas of Singapore known for local and traditional foods. He was also knowledgeable about the culture and history. We felt comfortable and enjoyed our time trying the foods and walking through the areas.

    Fantastic way to get a feel for the city’s food culture! Highly recommend it!
    Cheryl was fantastic. We went to several different food halls, got to see all kinds of regional food made, tried different juices and foods and also learned to navigate the local subway system. This was a very cool way to learn about the food culture of Singapore, Malaysia, China and Indonesia.

    Singapore trip
    we toured Singapore from the 15/5/23 to 19/5/23 and we whad booked our transportation with " Tour East " and what a blessing to us it was especailly i would like to mention our tour guide on the ciity tour on the 15/5/23 , the guide Ms. Monica was so passionate and knoweldgeable and also the driver Mr. Joshua was so courteous and mannersims , I commend these two for the love and pride they have for their country, it was such a highlight of our tour and all other tours we had everone was so well-mannered and courteous . I pray to the Almighty Father to bless them all so that they may be blessing to other people. God bless Shalom . Noel Khokhar+

    Food tasting and walking tour
    This private tour with Priscilla was excellent. It was designed for me based on my interests. It ended up being a cultural/historical themed tour with local food tasting experience. Priscilla is very well knowledgeable of the city, land marks, and history as a born and raised in Singapore individual. Very articulate and with good command of the English language. I highly recommend this tour and in particular with Priscilla.

    Great way to see Singapore
    Wonderful trip. Great way to see a huge amount of Singapore, that you couldn't do on foot. Definitely a workout, so need to be prepared for a solid bike ride. We had a lunch break in a China public market that I would have never discovered on my own. I joined the larger group alone, and was very welcomed. We had people from all over the word. Colin was a great guide!

    Highly recommended traditional Chinatown food experience
    We nick-named our guide 'Honest' John. He was amazing in providing a wonderfully informative tour of Chinatown and varying food experiences. From fish ball soups to durian iceblocks the range of food we tried was exceptional. Many were dishes we would not normally have tried as we would not know what the dishes were, but John made the experience not only enjoyable but a feast for all senses.

    Great value…and wear comfortable shoes…and drink water
    Note: Almost all tours are walking or walking/subway. If you want a riding tour, you’d better search for one and be willing to pay high $. Our guide was on time and very well versed on Singapore history, customs, and important sites. We enjoyed a half day walking tour of the cñCentral Business District, the Marina Bay Sands and Gardens by the Bay, Chinatown and so much more. It was totally worth it, and the pictures we brought home were fantastic, too.

A no show tour guide

We booked ( and prepaid ) the private tour in Singapore for a group of 4 people well over a month in advance. On the day before we arrived I reached out to our tour guide to confirm the meeting location and other details of our tour. He confirmed everything and said he’d meet us in the morning. Late that evening I got a message that he wasn’t able to do our tour. I got a hold of the tour group and they rescheduled us with another guide. On the morning of our tour we got another note that our tour guide wasn’t able to do our tour.

Bottom line… we planned our whole trip in Singapore around this tour and they stiffed us!!! Yes we got our money back but we would have much preferred the tour we were promised!

I believe they canceled because we booked the your for a Saturday and they just didn’t want to work the weekend. In any case we were very disappointed and wouldn’t recommend booking with them in the future

Great Food and Opportunity to try a lot of new food

Cheryl led an excellent tour and provided my group with some awesome local food. She fit a lot of places into a short time period and made the cost of the tour 100% worth it. We went to a lot of places we probably wouldn’t have went to by ourselves so having a local give the tour was a huge plus. I will definitely take this tour again if I come back to Singapore.

Great way to experience Singapore with a local

Priscilla was very communicative and laid out an itinerary weeks before our trip. She was flexible and adapted the schedule based on our preferences. She was so kind and informative. I appreciated the local intel she provided, not to mention the great videos and pics she took for us! Thank you, Priscilla, for a great tour :)

Singapore, Through the Eyes of a Local

Our guide Jimmy met us at our hotel and one thing that I appreciated was that even though he had our brief from the various email communications, he took a few minutes to get to know us and to go over our itinerary to make sure that we were going to see what we wanted and that everyone was on the same page. His English is excellent and having grown up in Singapore he was able to paint a picture of the area 'then and now'. He was a wealth of information. He also takes pictures of your group - avoiding the awkward selfies. We thoroughly enjoyed our time with him and we recommend him to anyone visiting Singapore!

Disappointing - would avoid.

Note: 4h walking tour booked. Questionnaire filled out in advance (which asks you what you are interested in/not interested in, important things to you such as foods/arts/history and walking pace).

2 stars given only for the positive note that our guide Danny was punctual and very friendly! However, in general the experience was not as we were hoping for. Upon meeting us, Danny asked what we were looking for in this tour. I stated my parents and I were very interested in experiencing the different cultures of Singapore, as well as visiting any iconic religious temples/places of worship. I clearly stated that we were NOT interested in shopping malls or any form of gardens as we had a few days to explore on our own and would do those things then.

We first visited a modern Buddha temple (tooth temple) which was beautiful, but after that Danny took us to Gardens by the Bay, despite me saying we did not want to visit any gardens. After just under an hour of walking around the gardens, I asked Danny to move on to the next activity as he thought we wanted to explore the gardens further. After this, he took us to the Marina Bay Sands shopping mall where we spent over an hour walking around and eating, again, despite me saying we wanted to avoid any shopping malls. His plan was then to take us to Kampong Glam and then lastly to the iconic Bugis market. We walked to Kampong Glam and I spotted the mosque and asked to go in. At this point, Danny announced that the tour was over. When I asked about the Bugis market, he said his time was over.

Unfortunately, we were very disappointed. Despite him asking us what we wanted to do and us stating exactly what we did not want to see, he used over half the allocated time of the tour to see exactly what we did not want to - the gardens and the shopping mall. Our guide also did not talk much about the history of Singapore at all, but then again we did not visit historical sites. He did a lot of pointing to things, such as the observation deck and the apple store. But not what we were hoping for at all.

Time management was also an issue: he also did not plan the tour well and therefore ran out of time and just left us in Kampong Glam before we could visit the last place. We spent 30mins at the temple, 1 hour walking around the gardens, 1 hour at the mall, and about 30mins at Kampong Glam. And 1 hour total travelling. Not how we hoped the time would be used.

Lastly, I specifically mentioned in my form that my parents were 70 years + and are great walkers, but walk at a slow pace. There is even an option on the form for you to choose your walking pace, and I chose 'slow/take my time' to cater for my parents. Unfortunately Danny walked incredibly fast leaving my parents behind and I would have to slow down to wait for them and lead them.

From this experience, I would avoid this tour and go with the other tour companies advertised, even though they may be more pricey. Disappointing.

Iconic neighborhood!

After meeting my guide Polina we went on a lovely walking tour through the iconic neighborhoods of Singapore. She took me to this incredible Rooftop garden on the 51floor with fantastic views - truly a hidden gem!!!! On our way, she pointed out some beautiful artwork painted on walls that depicted sceneries of the Asian lifestyle. There was time to check out street markets, and she even helped me to find souvenirs. I highly recommend this walking tour with Polina; even after we separated, she send me recommendations for my stay in Singapore

Great personal walking tour

I had a great personal walking tour with Claire. She gave me a great initial layout of the city and introduced me to a lot of aspects of the Singapore lifestyle: riding the metro, eating at a hawker stand, visiting a local grocery store. I felt like I was spending the day with a friend. I would recommend her to any first time visitors (including solo travelers) to Singapore. Thank you, Claire!

Soft egg and soy sauce: An insiders view of Singapore:
We have been to Singapore before, though only for 48 hours and have never had a clear focus in what we saw and did. This time we decided to book a half day personal tour through City unscripted. Our guide was Webein. (Jon). He is a native of Singapore and knows his city well. He is a knowledgable and clear communicator and gave us many insights into the history, life and culture including a visit to a mockup of the old city cells.

My partner is registered blind so needed someone who is responsive to his particular challenges. Weibin was always ready to listen and adjust what we were doing to fit that. Consequently we had an interesting and enjoyable half day, experiencing parts of city life that we would not otherwise have found. A particular experience was experimenting with a local delicacy of a lightly boiled egg broken into a bowl and mixed with soy sauce and pepper. We would not have found that on our own.

Next time we come to Singapore we would certainly ask for his services again as there is still lots to find out and do.

Don’t miss this tour

Singapore has incredible sights that are easy to find, but this tour was exactly what we needed to experience the vibrant and fascinating spirit of the city in a way that tourist sites can’t offer. Even if we had visited these places on our own, we could never have fully appreciated the graceful architectural transformations in the historic buildings, or the delicious food in out-of-the-way restaurants in ethnic neighborhoods. I highly recommend this tour to anyone looking for a more interesting and meaningful way to explore Singapore.

Great Guide, Great Tour!
Polina was very attentive and communicative/ she contacted me several days before the trip in order to plan the perfect tour- and she was spot on. We had a great time seeing everything on our list- especially the night shows. This was a great experience snd I would certainly love to have her as a guide again.
