About the operator
Don’t take it from us – here’s what people have to say about this operator:
- Arkady G0 contributionsBad traffic makes it less effectiveWe like hop on and hop off bus tours as this is the easiest and a very effective way of getting to know a city. The plus was English audio guide - fun and informative. Minus - the bus would get stuck in normal city traffic, with no audio in-between. May be fill up these gaps with some information about the cityWritten 30 November 2024
- Companion472245718180 contributionsGreat Experience!Had a great trip with Big Bus Singapore! Easy viewing of the city on the double decker bus. Upbeat and helpful staff. Introduced some new areas with which I was unfamiliar and was able to later to explore. Five stars!Written 28 November 2024

- SimonP5230 contributionsGood Tour and informativeThe bus tour starts at SunTec City mall , which is where I would recommend boarding the tour due to high volume of passengers. There are two routes: red and yellow. The red route goes to more older traditional locations whilst the yellow goes round newer locations . Overall we preferred the red route. The commentary is by pre recorded headphones and is quite informative. The buses travel at a reasonable speed allowing you to view the sites easily. We booked the tickets online under big bus Singapore, and suddenly I received an email from a company called Headout and an SMS from a USA number ( also mentioning Headout). I was sceptical that I had been scammed but the tickets were within the mail and when we presented the tickets at the boarding point all was ok. So it does work ok. The red tour was very enjoyable but, for me, the journey through little India was the most memorable part due to the wonderful array of spice smells! We never got off the bus as stops were busy (it was Chinese new year time) and enjoyed seeing the sites.Written 24 November 2024
- 137susanned0 contributionsNort as good as in other cities around the worldBus crowded and very VERY hard to find first meetup point if coming by city bus and then on foot. I didn't learn much that I didn't already know from the tape. Skipped my second day.Written 20 November 2024
- A5655KPdm0 contributionsToo less busses used on the tourThe Tour itself was okay, but the frequency of busses used was way to low. I did not get a real Hop On-Hop Off, because hopping off was always connected to very long waiting hours.Written 18 November 2024
- melissac08700 contributionsPerfect and EasyHandy way to see key parts of Singapore. The bus was clean, air conditioned and ran frequently. Commentary was provided in various languages and the drivers were friendly. Those was perfect to get around at our own paceWritten 14 November 2024
- Tvler80 contributionsGreat way to see a lot of territoryIt is a great method of quick sight seeing in Singapore. It stops at all the major sites. If it is looks like it will rain it will. Enjoy the rideWritten 11 November 2024
- aandjburns0 contributionsInformative option to get about. It is a good way to see the highlights of the city. The company offers 2 routes around the city, with stops at good locations to see the sites. Options of 1 or 2 days (24 or 48hr periods). I bought a 1 day ticket at 11am; which gave me that afternoon & the following morning to access the bus. There is on-board recorded commentary (multiple languages) via headphones. You have the choice of the air-con downstairs or the open air upstairs (1/2 covered). The stairs are very tight & very steep, so be careful & sure-footed when using them. Tickets can be bought from Big Bus directly or via on-line voucher companies (for a discount).Written 10 November 2024
- philaO7247KK0 contributionsOK for a getting a feel for the layout of the centre.Ok as a way of getting a feel for the layout of the city and for getting from place to place if it fits with your intended places to visit. Couple of points to note. 1. There is no drainage on the top floor and it had been raining when we took the first bus of the day. As the bus pulled away, a mini tidal wave of water surged down the bus under the seats filling my shoes and soaking my trousers. This continued washing back and forth until most of it found its' way down the stairs. 2. The earphones provided are, as would be expected, not the best quality. If you have some earphones with a 3mm jack plug you'll have a much better chance of hearing the commentary. It's worth noting the underground (MRT) is a cheap and easy way to getting better places once you've purchased the necessary travel card.Written 10 November 2024
- Scott H0 contributionsTime for an upgradeBig bus delivers a terrific product. It could be so much better with an upgrade to the buses, but more importantly the content. Too much clear air on the guided tour…folks there to listen and learn. More is more. That said, the hop on hop off is fabulous.Written 6 November 2024

- 688MW6880 contributionsGood way to see the city when new in town.Thoroughly enjoyable city tour. The two day pass is good value and the information provided useful. There are two routes both worth taking. Download the App. What they don’t tell you is that it has a bus ‘coming’ tracker. This makes everything much easier to plan also it shows pictures of the exact bus stop. ThanksWritten 2 November 2024

Peter brought the city of Singapore more to life with his personal stories. Daniel was a great driver considering the traffic jams we found! Overall I really appreciated the carefully planned experiences . It was fun and engaging!Written 2 November 2024

We were expecting to see the Light Show at the Gardens by the Bay, which is the only reason we signed up for this relatively expensive bus ride (138 USD for three adults). The first stop was 20 minutes at the city damn, just to see the cargo ships parked in the Bay. This was very boring. The second stop was a 45 minute pause at a local food court where we separated and ate dinner at our own pace. We could have done this on our own, and not paid a tour company to take us there. The final stop was advertised on TA as the Garden Rhapsody sound and light show. Because it was New Year's Day, the tour company only drove us around to see the city Christmas lights, which none of us really cared about.
I don't know if the miscommunication was between Big Bus and Trip Advisor, or if Big Bus simply chose to change the tour without notifying TA, but it was a huge disappointment. I chose the bus tour only because one of our party is disabled, and I thought she could see the music and light show without having to walk too far. But next time I will just go straight to Gardens by the Bay, and not book through TA or Big Bus.

Hi Melissa D, it is disappointing for us to hear that your experience was anything less than great.
We wish to share that, due to the Christmas Wonderland event at Gardens by the Bay, access to the Supertrees Grove area is limited to Christmas Wonderland ticket holders. Those without tickets can still observe the show from crowded vantage points. To improve our guests' overall experience, we have replaced the Garden Rhapsody show at Gardens by the Bay with the annual Christmas light-up along Orchard Road.
Notifications about these modifications have been disseminated across multiple platforms, including Viator. We value your understanding and apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused.
We appreciate your valuable feedback and the time you've taken to share it with us. We hope to have the opportunity to serve you again in the future. Take care.

3/5 stars is harsh, but let me explain. The 3 stops you visits are all free! Marina Barrage (the viewing point to get a great view of the city and sea), Lau Pa Sat (the famous food market), and Gardens By The Bay (with their infamous sky trees and light show) are all free attractions to see in Singapore. So, I don’t think the tour was poor, I just think that you can see all of these attractions on your own. Singapore has an awesome MRT (metro/subway/tube) that you can use to get to each stop on this tour. Our tour guide was great and the bus is convenient. Again, by a bus tours standard this was a very good one, I just don’t see the point in paying around £40 for free attractions that would cost you about £3 using public transportation

We did the Garden light show . Well worth doing. Guide Peter and driver Willy were excellent . Some passengers on the bus were being a pain but the staff kept their cool and handled the situation. They even dropped us all off at various locations on the way home close to your accommodation.

Reporting in Singapore for the blog pichonvoyageur.ch, I took the night route of this bus. The experience allows you to discover the city by night and take spectacular photos, including the sound & light of the Bay Gardens. Particularly appreciated: the return of the bus, which offers "personalized" stops at different hotels.

Terrible misleading information. It's NOT a hop on Hop off bus as advertised . There is only one bus. If you are 1 minute late to redeem your tickets (and it's a maze to find the counter) you miss the tour. No refund. No apolling. Lots of us were stranded having paid 200 dollars and expecting to be able to catch the next bus!

Dear Zoe Ellender,
Thank you for taking the time to leave us a feedback. We appreciate your input and would like to address your concerns regarding your recent experience.
Upon reviewing your booking, we noted that your tour was scheduled for 18:15hrs, with a check-in time of 30 minutes prior. We understand that unforeseen circumstances can occur, and you arrived at our shop at 18:19hrs due to your taxi driver dropping you off at the wrong location. Our boarding location is clearly stated on our booking confirmation voucher & in no way we provided any false & misleading information leading you to miss the tour.
Upon review of the CCTV footages, the bus has left and our team member on duty at the time kindly suggested that you could join the tour at the second stop, Lau Pa Sat, to help you catch up with the group. However, we understand that you did not accept this suggestion & asked for a refund instead. Throughout the conversation, our team member were assisting & providing you with the information to catch up with the group.
At Big Bus Tours, we value all our team members and expect that they are treated with respect, like how we treat all our guest. They are committed to ensuring our guests have a memorable experience and are always ready to assist in any way possible.
Once again, thank you for bringing this matter to our attention. We hope to have the opportunity to welcome you back and provide you with the exceptional experience that we aim to deliver to all our guests.
If you require further assistance, please reach us via feedback@ducktours.com.sg.
Thank you.

The tour was an easy way to see a few key landmarks from the comfort of the open air bus. Numbers are limited to ensure everyone gets a seat upstairs and they run a few buses so no one misses out. The food stop whilst rushed is a good introduction to Singapore Hawkers markets. Our guide did a good job of explaining the sites and an informative tour on the way home from the Gardens by the Bay, dropping customers back at locations close to their hotels

Where is Suntec city Mall and how do I get there from Village Hotel Bugis
Written 15 August 2019
Suntec City is easily accessible with regular city bus or taxi, or if you buy a Hop-on Hop-off bus pass, you will get there. If choosing a Hop-on, hop-off bus, make sure you get the one that has a one-way free transfer to Suntec City like the Duck and Hippo one.
