If you just want to ride the 2 routes around the city and listen to the guide commentary would be a pleasant experience but unfortunately doesn't work as well for a 'hop on hop off' tour. We only had a few days in singapore so planned to hop on and off to explore some of the main sites/ areas. Unfortunately at each hop off we then had to wait for an extended period (just over 40 mins at one stage) for a bus. App is useful to see where buses are but only if you are in a place with wifi. Feel could be improved by slightly more frequent buses/ at least a poster at each stop advising of expected bus times for that stop so you could plan your visit.

Hi Lauren,
Thank you for leaving us a feedback. We are sorry to hear that your experience was not a positive one. Our current bus frequency is between 25 – 40 mins, and dependent on the traffic condition on the day. Our app shows live tracking of our bus timing and understand that all guests may not have data/wifi to access the app. We are unable to place poster advertising the expected bus times at each stop as it is not allowed by the authority as the panels are all reserved for public buses posting. We valued your feedback and will work on increasing the frequency of our buses.

Decided to do this tour to understand the city as a first time visitor. Irritating that although i could buy the tickets online we had to travel to a particular point to have actual tickets issued, rather than getting on at the nearest stop. Bus was clean and on time, nice to have views of the city from the upper deck.
The recored commentary was ok but not great - a lot of the time it was just banal music when they could have filled the time with general interesting information about Singapore - after all im pretty sure we were all first time visitors.
There are A LOT of traffic lights in this city so there is a lot of waiting at them. Make sure you take a hat as the sun is intense.
The city itself is very diverse, amazing skylines, interesting parks and fantastic local ethnic areas. The shopping and eating opportunities are incredible! Im glad we took the tour, doing both the red and yellow routes to get our monies worth but it could have been so much better with a much better commentary

We bought the 2 day and night tour pass. The day pass acquainted us with the city, it consisted of 2 routes that covered the entire city’s. the night tour which could be purchased at the same time was a comprehensive actual tour with a fabulous tour guide, ETA (sp.?) and driver Nelson.

If you want to scan the area a one-day ticket could be fine. But, in no city in the world I spent so much time waiting for the next bus. Okay, it’s warm in Singapore. In the morning 2 busses (this means 40 minutes extra waiting) drove past without stopping (yellow line - stop 11). This was so annoying.
I really recommend to use the MRT or regular busses. So much cheaper and very easy in buying tickets. Just use any mobile device (I use Apple Pay with Matercard), you only have to tap in when you go on the train and tqp out when you leave. That‘s it! While I’m writing this I have to wait another 30
Minutes at the Suntec Hub for changing from
The yellow to the red line.

Hi Jutta H, thank you for taking time out to leave us a review and we are sorry to hear that your experience with us was not a positive one.
We would like to share that as advertised, our buses are scheduled to run every 25 – 40mins so guest can Hop off the bus and explore the area at their preferred stop and Hop on to the next bus after they have explored the area. We would advise guests to download the Big Bus Tour App for real-time tracking of buses.
Nonetheless, we appreciate your feedback and we will continue to improve ourselves to better serve our guests.

This seemed like a good idea and being a Londoner I thought I would know what to expect. There is a discount for booking online and you have an email receipt and booking reference number. Singapore prides itself on the garden city and being ecological friendly. However this company still rely on paper tickets and will not accept anything other than paper. If you lose your paper ticket that is game over. As a tourist you are accused of lying, trying to use the service for free with no offer of help or using other forms of identification to back up your email notifications. This is ridiculous. The headphone commentary is mainly music as there is not too much depth to the place itself. It's shopping centre after shopping centre, hotels and banks. This is not the bus company's fault, however surely they could find something a little more historic than picking out the private hospital which is good for cosmetic surgery to talk about. I would suggest save your money, use any free guides you can find on your mobile phones app. A offline map has been of great use to us.

We have been on numerous open top bus tours around the world as we find them a good way to first orientate in a new city. This was by far the worst. Short (1 hr despite traffic), poor commentary, nothing in the way of background information. Expensive and v poor value for money.
Either walk or (given the heat) use the excellent and cheap metro.

We bought a 2 day pass which allowed us to access both tourist routes and see everything we wanted. The service drops you right at the entrance to all the attractions and runs efficiently on time so you can count on being in a particular place at a specific time. If it’s sunny, then sit on the top deck and enjoy the breeze in your hair, if it’s raining or too humid or hot them enjoy the air conditioning of the lower floor.

A chose The Big Bus tour as I could pick it up from outside of my hotel, it was very hot whilst I was in Singapore and I didn't want to have to walk to far to find the bus stop. The two tours where great and gave me a good view of both the old and new towns with the ability to hop on and off where I wanted to.
I bought a one day ticket from the driver on the bus, they only take cash, not cards so make sure you have cash with you. Keep your ticket safe as you need to show it each time you get back on.
When you first get onto the bus you are given headphones which you can plug in and you get a commentary of where you are and what you are seeing. The jazz music played in between was a bit repetitive.
The drivers where all very helpful and shouted out stops just in case you where listening to the commentary.
Everywhere I go in the world if they have a hop on/off bus I will always use it, I think it is a fantastic and cost effective way to get round where you are visiting

Excellent way to see Singapore and get around. I would recommend you do this on your first or second day as the buses take you to the major sights and it's so convenient to jump off and explore the area and then go to the next place. The audio on the tour is slightly off but you get the idea. We went on both the yellow line and red line. Regular schedule so you don't wait a round too long for the next bus. The top deck has a shaded area near the back for when the sun is out so you can still enjoy the fresh air if you don't want to sit on the lower deck.

This is a perfect way to discover and admire the beauty of Singapore if you have limited-time to stay. On the bus you can listen to the stories and information to learn more about the city and its heritage. And yes we have walked 3 times around the wealth fountain ⛲️ 😀.
First of all we were the first couple on the hop on hop off bus after they have resumed their operations due two years shutdown due to covid - we felt extremely happy and honored
We tooked two rides red and yellow.
Drivers were informative and friendly as well the staff at the terminal
We only had one day to discover Singapore and we loved it. In a short time (one hr each ride) we got familiar we the attractions the city can offer. We admired the beauty of nature. We had a chance to use the bus as well for all rides to our hotel, covid test facility, shopping and hopon/off at the attractions we went to see.
We love the ride and the city so much and hoping to be back one day
We wish you lots of travelers that would love your services as we did and lots of prosperity ✨️ 😊

Will you pick up and drop off at my hotel; The Novotel Waterfront? Or is there a stop nearby.
If I book tickets on line do I have to collect physical tickets before getting on a bus or can I download tickets to my phone and get on bus at any stop.

Our tickets were part of a package booked online, great value as package consisted of flyer. Boat cruise and on off bus. I am pretty sure you can book either previous day to 9.30 departure of first bus, or in the morning at the office of departure at 9am. Hope this helps, but check out the Singapore flyer package that includes bus. Great value

Don’t think it is, but you still have to go to the Sun tex shopping Centre anyway to validate your ticket. You can get a discount if you fly with Singapore airlines and show them your boarding pass either on your phone or the actual ticket.

Thanks, having paid for the tickets, it then gave me an option to either print the tickets or send them to my phone. Sent to phone, it then said :
If you requested to have your tickets sent via SMS, remember that there is no need to print your tickets, just bring your phone with you with the ticket page open to show it to one of our on street staff who will issue you your ticket.
Hoping that's all that is needed :)

You can buy your tickets on the bus but it’s good to go to Suntec as they can take the time to explain everything. Not sure about getting to Subtec but Taxis are pretty cheap.
