The evening trip is new, so that’s probably why I was on my own, but I can really recommend it! You start with daylight and end in the dark. He also gives you all kind of recommendations during the trip.Written 25 September 2024
- onthemovewithjens0 contributionsAmazing Singapore Experience ...Singapore by bike and into the night, which start early, gives one the possibility to see the city from a different experience. You will see all main city areas and a lot more. The bike ride is refreshing and easy to take (99% is flat).. Our host was amazing, he does know it all, was very helpful and on top of it always friendly. The surprise snack was really tasty. My recommendation, try the Singapore Light to Night Bike Tour yourself ...Written 23 September 2024

- Nico011130 contributionsBest tour we ever madeWe had a more than awesome experience with the 'From light to night tour' with Holden. The bikes were great and we felt safe All the time. The route was extremely well chosen! We got a great overview and feeling for Singapur, still caught enough details on the way and on the stops we made. When it got dark, we moved to the perfect spots to see the city lights! Holden was gorgeous: With his headset and great English it was easy to understand everything. He gave us very interesting insights, was humerous and so very, very nice. He always looked after us, made photos, even bought us a yummy snack in little India. We have already made a lot of guided tours, but this one was the best! Highly recommended!!Written 3 September 2024
- Navigate533991291570 contributionsFun, well paced and interestingHolden was so lovely and made the tour really fun! He was clearly very knowledgeable and experienced. The highlight was the F1 track. We would really recommend this tour to all keen cyclistsWritten 26 August 2024
- Kathryn F0 contributionsFood , fun and cyclingThis was our second cycling tour in Singapore and we were delighted to have Holden as our guide for both tours. We chose this tour as it focussed more on traditional Singaporean foods and Holden ensured we had a great time taking us to well loved food outlets and gave us lots of interesting information too. The ride back along the water at East Coast Park was a delight, even in the rain. It inspired us to hire our own bikes the next day and have dinner at the Hawker centre there. Can’t wait to come back to do another tour! Fantastic !Written 20 August 2024
- Adventure564717010810 contributionsGreat choice for a nutshell guide to SingaporeOur friends recommended exploring Singapore by bike with Holden. Since we arrived in the afternoon, we decided to take an evening tour. It was a perfect choice and we had a wonderful time for over three hours. Holden turned out to be an excellent guide, with extensive knowledge and interesting facts about Singapore. We took lots of photos with the sunset in the background. We highly recommend bike tours in Singapore with Holden😊Monika,Michał and AdaWritten 13 August 2024
- Go4689570 contributionsTwilight SingaporeWe signed up for a light to night bike tour with Bike around Singapore. Ticketing, communicating and greeting for this trip was well done. Our guide Holden confirmed the booking and advised on the meeting point including directions and transport advice to get there on time. It was a small group and this is probably a good thing as the route can get a little busy in places. Holden was an excellent guide. He was very informative and gives lots of suggestions for future sightseeing and places to eat etc. The tour starts in the heat with some reprieve as the sun goes down. Photo opportunities are numerous and Holden was happy to assist in getting the ideal shots. Recommend this trip for a quick introduction and orientation to Singapore. Our Lion City Bike tour was one of the highlights of our visit to Singapore. The route was great, often cruising down wide pedestrian promenades, with some fun sections on crowded shopping streets. Jeff and Zach provided lots of interesting facts about the city, and Jeff took excellent pictures of the group (some action shots riding, some standing). There were frequent stops for pictures and narration, plus two stops for refreshments at hawker centers (at no additional cost). We also happened to have great weather (partly cloudy, gentle wind) which kept us reasonably cool. The riding was easy because Singapore is basically flat, and the pace was always reasonable. All together, this made for a very enjoyable and educational half-day outing, one that we highly recommend for anyone who can ride a bike! We did this on our 2nd day in Singapore due to schedule limitations, but it's a great first-day activity because Jeff and Zach give suggestions for visiting each section of the city later on.

A bike tour is a great way to see more of a place than you would on foot when time is limited. We had only one full day in Singapore and decided on this guided bike tour on the recommendation of a friend.
Jeff really knows his stuff, is Singaporean born and bred and guided us through his home city with an evident pride in his country and an in-depth knowledge of history, politics and current affairs. We cycled mainly on pavements where bikes are permitted and felt safe on the few roads under Jeff’s careful guidance.
We had frequent stops for many wonderful photo opportunities and for drinks, snacks and comfort breaks!
We would thoroughly recommend this tour and will definitely use Lion City Bike Tours again if/when we return to Singapore.

This bike tour was the best idea I've had all year. Jeff (and his son who works with him on weekends) were simply outstanding tour guides. I was concerned when we booked the tour, as it is 4+ hours, I am 66 years old, and my wife is a rookie "biker". But the well-maintained bikes, casual pace, and infinite patience of Jeff and his son made the entire time simply enjoyable and fun.
There are so many good things to say about this tour, but I think besides the experience itself, the next best takeaway is the logistics info Jeff provides at each stop when he gives us his passionate and humorous discourses and historical context to the various areas of Singapore. For example, in a quick nutshell, he gave us the timing, cost (some cost hacks) and locations of how to spend an entire day/evening around the Marina Bay area, catching the Garden, the light shows, a "free" drink on top of the big hotel, and a few other things. We followed his advice 2 days later, and had a great/cheap/perfectly planned day.
Many others have mentioned that it is a good idea to do this tour early in your visit here to this wonderful city. Couldn't agree more. Thanx, Jeff, for your had work and great attitude. I will be sure to recommend your tour to any of my friends or acquaintances who visit Singapore in the future.

I am very glad that our friend booked this tour on bikes because we explored so many sightseeing just in one day! Jeff is so knowledgeable about Singapore, he could answer any question we asked during this tour. He is also very funny making jokes and keeping everyone interested at any moment. We were surprised that a tour included snacks in Indian district (a samosa and cane juice), and also coffee later. I highly recommend this tour, at such decent price you'll get plenty of experience!

We did this tour on our third day in Singapore, Even though I would now recommend doing the tour earlier in your trip, we really loved and enjoyed it! For us as bicycle lovers (Dutch) this trip was really relaxing. We cycled about 17km through the city, Jeff could tell us do many things about the history and present day of Singapore. We learned a lot. He gave us many great tips and even the days after we could contact him is we had any questions. The trip is doable for everybody, Singapore is flat and you really do not need to be in good shape to keep up. The tempo is adjusted to the participants in the group. The tour lasts about 4.5 hours but effectively you only cycle about 1:40 minutes because of the short stops an two longer breaks (15-20 min) where you get a drink and a small bite to eat. I recommend this tour to everybody.

Really enjoyed this tour around Singapore with Zac as our guide, we were lucky with our group, as there was only 4 of us plus Zac. He was informative, gave us loads of opportunities to take photos (& took several of us both as a couple & as the group, which he quickly forwarded on to us). A fabulous way to see lots of the city, learning about its history too, recommend you book an early start (we did a 9am start).
Huge thanks to Zac

With limited time to see many of the key city sites, this Cycle Tour proved to be great way to get around.
The tour covers around 20km but there are loads of stops so it’s suitable for all ages.
The bikes are easy to ride and you have a small pouch on the handle bars to store phones, wallets and sunscreen.
Our guide was Jeff, who was very knowledgeable and gave us a great overview of many of the city’s key landmarks.
As Singapore has no cycle lanes there’s a lot of weaving along footpaths and dodging pedestrians.
The only downside for me is it’s a little too long at 4 and a-half-hours, but still great fun and excellent value for money. Give it a go, you won’t be disappointed.

I really loved the bike tour, and wish I had done bike tours in other cities that I've visited. It's a great way to see a lot of diverse areas and have a sense of which I might want to go back to explore in more detail. Holden, our guide, was fantastic. Nice, friendly, helpful, knowledgeable, thoughtful, and full of good information. He seems passionate about showing visitors his fantastic city and tell us about its history.
You don't need to be in good shape for the tour, though it took about 5.5 hours and we covered 20 km (a bit over 12 miles). The bikes are sturdy and easy to navigate, and we were mostly on safe bike routes with only a very few tiny distances on streets - and those did not have much traffic. Holden made two stops to buy us something to drink and a local snack, where we could also sit and rest in the shade.
Altogether one of my two favorite tours of a city ever (the other a food and walking tour in Old Delhi, with an equally passionate and helpful guide).
Throughout the tour, Holden took photos of us as a group in front of the key sights, or of individuals while biking, and shared all of the photos to all of us on whatsapp and email. Of course he also took personal photos with people's own phones, but I find the ones he took of all of us much more fun, because it reminds me of the whole experience

What a great, active way to get an introduction to the Singapore city “must see” locations.
Do this first-up when you arrive. The tour is well worth the price and if you can ride a bike, you can manage the 20km & 4.5 hour leisurely ride. The whole route is flat and we were lucky to strike a day of little vehicle or pedestrian traffic.
Holden, our enthusiastic guide was a font of information, delivering his knowledge in easy to listen to English and always ready to answer our questions. He provided plenty of good advice for further sight-seeing around the city.
We now have a good understanding of where the interesting sights are and how to best get around to visit them.
Thanks for a great day, Holden

The only tip for potential travellers is to be reminded that the price quoted is USD not SGD.
I thought the tour was outstanding and quite the best way to see this fabulously modern but historic city.
Fred, our guide, was genial, knowledgeable and exhibited all the right characteristics to attract the members of the tour.
I would give him full marks!!
Not only did we see all the sights that define the history of Singapore through to the present day but we also had the thrill of rising part way around the F1 course.
I highly recommend this tour (especially if you snare Fred as your guide) as a means of understanding why this bright, lively, sophisticated city holds such affection for people from all around the globe!

Written 30 March 2024
I tracked it with my Apple Watch actually. Here is the data from it:
Total distance: 14.87kms
Avg speed: 6.0km/h
Workout time: 2hours 28 minutes
Total time: 4 hours
As some of the others have already mentioned... it's not taxing and you make a few stops. Hope this info is helpful.

Hi there. We are visiting in September and my children are 12 and 7 (8 in October). Both kids are great bike riders. Are they able to join the tour?
Written 18 July 2022
I went on the tour last week and while there weren't any children on our ride I think they'd be more than welcome on the tour. Might be good just to confirm with the tour if the bikes would be suitable size wise for the 7 year old, but I think you'd be good!
