Our guide Leonard was entertaining, knowledgeable and informative. Explaining the many variations of foods on offer, as well as the history and stories associated with the hawker stands. Leonard gave us a brief food break as we walked through a bustling marketplace. We then toured the Singapore City Gallery, where he explained the many interesting displays of the past, present, and future of Singapore and its citizens. Brains fed, we ventured back to the stands for more food and a final dessert treat! A very enjoyable and filling tour!

Gene was a very informative and enthusiastic guide.
Easy meet up point at the China Town MRT station entrance.
We enjoyed the tour very much.
There is a lot of food to eat, and plenty of drinks supplied.
Gene took us through a lot of the China Town area which was very interesting and colourful, and was happy to answer any questions on Singapore in general also.
His local input on trying different dishes from recommended hawker stalls was very beneficial. There was a definite benefit gained from this tour if you wish to eat at Hawker Centres when you are in Singapore. We didn't realise that the stalls have to show their cleanliness rating on the front of each stall, so always look for a A or B rated stall to ensure cleanliness.
His insight into the Michelin Star rating system was beneficial also.
Even if you're not a foodie, you'll enjoy this tour as I did.

Gene was an excellent guide and he took us to many places we wouldn’t have found without insider knowledge. There were long queues at some of the hawkers but Gene had already pre-booked food or knew the owners to get served first. He was full of enthusiasm and had a great knowledge about where we were and about what we were eating. We ate and drank our way through Chinatown and Gene was on a mission to ensure we were satisfied (both with the food and with all our questions). It was a small group of 4 which was perfect. I would recommend this tour to any visitor.

My partner and I did the tour today and expected to taste some food and hear a little bit about it but the tour was way beyond all of our expectations. Simon was our guide and is local to Singapore and he told us so much about the food plus the background and culture of the areas we visited - and was just a great guy to have a chat to! All of the food was amazing but our guide Simon was really the highlight, he does what he does with so much love and passion. Cannot recommend this tour highly enough!!

Our tour guide Richard was a self-declared History buff and gave us so much background information as we walked along. As a student of the history and politics of Southeast Asia I found his information fascinating. That coupled with some of the best Hawker food available in Chinatown made this tour particularly memorable. I would highly recommend this tour for anyone who would like to eat remarkable food whilst learning about the history of Chinese settlement in Singapore.

Amazing tour! Angel was a great guide and it was nice to have the company founder along for the ride as well! Really informative and interesting, great food and drink choices and excellent value. We were together for about 2 1/2 or 3 hours and tried so many amazing things for just a few dollars. Highly recommended.

This tour was amazing! Linda, our tour guide, took the time to tell us all the stories about sights and foods. We learnt so many things about the history of Singapore and the ways people live in this city. We also discovered food that we would not have picked so it was worthwhile. Highly recommend.

Our tour guide Marcus was very knowledgeable. He took us to the best food stalls in Chinatown and showed us around the Buddha Tooth Relic Temple and Museum. Special mention to Kath who was very helpful in securing us seats at the Maxwell Centre.

A wonderful small tour giving people the authentic taste of Chinatown. Our meeting place was easily accessible from the train station. The food was delicious and we all came away full and happy with the variety. The pandan cake was a delight! A trip to the Temple was a highlight as well. At the end of the tour you are left to shop for some bargain souvenirs amongst the many stalls.

Just finished the Michelin and local food tour with Gene. This is a fantastic half day tour. The food is fabulous and varied, we visited 3 Hawker Centres and a number of shops in the Chinatown Area. This gave us a good overview of Hawker Food and Singaporean dishes. Gene is terrific, his knowledge of the area, the different centres and Singapore food in general is excellent. He is very friendly and helpful, making this tour even more enjoyable. Would highly recommend this tour to anyone who wants to experience some traditional Singaporean food in the traditional setting. This is definitely one of the best tours I have done. Thank you Gene for a great morning.

The tour guide was excellent. We were the only ones on the tour so it was very tailored to our tastes. The Michellin Star Chicken Rice was a little disappointing and felt like 'Maccas' in its 'line up and eat and leave' with no atmosphere.
Saying that, it was very popular and there was nothing wrong with the dish itself.
The other local hawker foods were much better as we like going to local places. Overall the experience was very good.
