- iritr0 contributionsA perfect start to understanding Sungapore. Our guide Yap was extraordinary. He was easygoing and full of interesting details. Even though we were tired and jetlegged after 18 hours of a flight, he succeeded in capturing our imagination with compelling anecdotes and hidden corners of the city. .This is a local tour agency and it offers an inside understanding of the history to present day Singapore’s standing. . I highly recommend.Written 25 January 2025
- kristinelA4838YF0 contributionsA Vibrant Cultural Journey Through SingaporeThis city highlights tour was such an incredible way to explore the heart of Singapore’s cultural heritage! Chinatown, Little India, and Kampong Gelam each had their own unique charm, with vibrant colors, rich history, and amazing food. The guide was knowledgeable and made the experience so much more meaningful with fascinating stories and insights. It’s a perfect way to discover the diversity that makes Singapore so special—highly recommended!Written 19 January 2025
- PHewitt000 contributionsA great way to see historic districts of Singapore.Simon is a very knowledgeable guide who mixes his great insights with a bit of humour along the way. So many interesting bits of information provided great context for the three distinct districts we visited. The trip also served as a great introduction to using the MTR as moved to Little India and on to Chinatown. I was thinking of visiting these areas independently but I am glad we went with Simon. Undoubtedly it was more efficient in finding the key areas and much richer in understanding the past and present contexts of each. The tour represents good value.Written 19 January 2025

- Navigator550483967990 contributionsLovely experienceI enjoyed the whole experience and I was able to see parts of Singapore that I would not have been able to find on my own. Cheyenne (the tour guide) is kind and courteous and she made sure to ask us if there was anything in particular that we would like to do during the tour. The sugar cane with lime drink at the Tekka centre and our sit down conversation about the mundane things in Singapore were very enlightening. Lovely experience, I recommend this tour. 🫶🏽❤️Written 30 December 2024

Thank you Robin for the memorable morning! Seeing Singapore in a new light, and learning more about the different jobs done along its coast, are great! When the rain came, Robin was prepared and calm and we could still make the most of the situation.
The lyrics of this National Day song became more real to my sister and me. Extracting 2 stanzas:
Morning comes around and I
Can't wait to see my sunny island
In its glorious greenery
Whether rain or shine it's still, beautiful
Bright lights shine on the streets at night
Guiding me, closer to home
To a place where I'll be safe and warm
Where I belong
Friends and families by my side (by my side)
Seeing me through as I grow and learn (as I grow and learn)
Every day's experience bitter, sweet or sour
They are still, wonderful
As they become precious memories
They'll be kept close to my heart
And no matter where I am, I will always know
Where I belong

Lovely trip with Capt Robin! We booked a last min morning tour with 3 young kids (7, 5 & 2) and it was a blast! The capt made sure that he rode the waves gently, and customised the duration / timing of the trip to suit our little kids (and their lack of attention span/ability to last the full 3 hrs). Boat was safe, clean and lovely to be in! Had a blast!

We had the greatest experience on this boat. Our captain was knowledgeable, friendly, safe, funny, respectful, and you can tell he really enjoys sharing his love of the local water life and stories! We appreciated his willingness to keep in contact with us about the days weather as we were concerned that rain would cancel. As it turned out, he called us mid afternoon and we did make a 4 o’clock trip and caught a beautiful sunset! The entire 3+ hours was more than we could have asked for, and we learned so much and had a great time even with the people we shared the boat with. This is a great activity to balance a trip to Singapores city highlights as you get to see the quieter life on the outskirts and understand the shared waters with Malaysia. Captain Robin was the best!

We went as a family of four and enjoyed the boat ride and tour very much. There was a fuel surcharge of $100 as we chose to proceed even though we did not meet the minimum group size of five pax. The tour was interesting, exploring Singapore's northern and north eastern coastline. The tour guide, Robin, deserves special mention for being very knowledgeable and approachable. Dinner at the kelong restaurant was delicious and portions generous for a group of four. We would highly recommend this boat tour.

I would say the whole trip was a very pleasant and exciting one.
The tour guide/pilot of the boat was knowledgeable, and careful as he navigates the boat!
He stops periodically to explain the sites at the same time he explains about the historical sites and how it evolves to the present time.
He mentioned about Singapore's reclaimation and our neighbours seafront. He was able to tell us where we could find good seafood!
We toured round Pulau Ubin and he showed us the nearest divide between Johore and Singapore.
Our final destination was a 'kelong', to show us how the fishes are being farmed.
We bought fresh garoupa which was over 1kg each, the price was reasonable and they cleaned the fish for us to bring home.
He continued to explain the sights and sound on the return trip.
I would recommend a late afternoon trip because its cooler and the lights were so switched on, on boats/ ships around 7pm.
It was one of my most interesting boat trip thus far and I will consider taking another trip again!

Found Robin & his tour via Spore Rediscover Vouchers, he replied to my enquiry & confirmed booking of my extended family tour. Nearer date, it is Zenna, his daughter in admin who is very prompt to secure my last 2 slots & see to the details.
We booked a 4-7pm slot to add on a Kelong dinner.
It so happened to be the ND celebration Saturday and we were all punctual.
Robin’s catamaran looks new and clean, he looks after it very well. We removed our slippers & got on it including our 83yo mother who walks with a lightweight pushchair. Robin assured me during my enquiry that there are no stairs to climb from pier to boat to kelong and the tour is suitable for the very young and the very old, no walking around is needed.
Robin is bilingual and it is a bonus, we requested him to speak in Mandarin so our old mother can understand and enjoy the commentary too.
It was a leisurely 1 1/2h boat tour as we passed by the various small islands, he would stop at various points for us to see as he shared his knowledge and update of the areas. As we approached different sides of Pulau Ubin, he even shared about its beloved guidance dog Kopi O and pointed to his tombstone. Very interesting!
Soon we reached Smith Marine Kelong and Floating Restaurant, the only approved one.
Robin helped us to fish 2 golden snappers for our 2 tables of 5pax each. And our families fished another 4 garoupas $30 each to bring home. They were cleaned and vacuumed packed.
Actually we did instant fishing. Robin prepared the rod with bait, we just dropped the line and the garoupa jumped onto the bait immediately, reeled in within seconds! Fastest Fishing experience!!
And Robin removed the hook and we took photos of our catch!!
Robin is a very experienced angler, gave us many tips.
The Kelong dinner is abit expensive but it was an experience to dine in on the floating restaurant and to support local business too.
The chilli crab was good, steamed prawns were very fresh but the soup was lukewarm, big salted squid rings were tasty and the vegetables fried with toufu were ok.
And we ordered fresh coconuts too!
Then time to relax and watch the dusk.
The restaurant owner was there and a very good friend of Robin too. So he shared with us his struggles and heartaches of pursuing his passion and dream kelong, floating restaurant.
2 friends who are very passionate about the sea and all of us had an awesome time chilling with them.
Time to say Goodbye and Hope to see you again.
Thank you very much Robin and Zenna.

Excellent tour led by Robin and faciliated by Zenna. From start to end, Robin was a superb guide full of knowledge about the sights we saw and always ready to answer any questions we had. The boat ride was so comfortable and such a unique experience that we didn't want it to end. You get to see kelongs, Pulau Ubin, and pass by various interesting ships/boats, all of which Robin had a story for.
Shout-out to Zenna as well, who was so hardworking in the planning of the tour. Our original date got cancelled yet she managed to pull together a group at such short notice.
We're glad we used our vouchers on this tour and will certainly recommend it to our friends and family.

5 of us book this guided boat tour using the Spore Discover Vouchers. The yacht is good size and clean, just nice for a group of 5 to sit at the front and another group of 5 to sit at the back, adhering to the covid-19 safe distance measure. It was a comfortable ride and we enjoyed the sea breeze very much. Robin is patient and shared many knowledge with us. The tour was well organised. We had dinner at Smith Marine Floating Restaurant (at own cost) and Robin checked with us on our menu selection days before the tour. Everything went very smooth despite the unpredictable weather and we managed to complete the tour before the storm started though there is slight drizzling of the rain on our ride back. It was a fun memorable experience.

A very insightful and informative tour, where we got to discover a very interesting side of Singapore, and getting to view the shores and city line from a unique point of view on board a boat. Many interesting stories were shared, including the livelihood of fishermen, seeing them catching prawns up close, floating kelong homes and a high tech fish farm. We enjoyed ourselves Lots

We had a wonderful time on this trip. Robin our captain was bilingual and provide good commentary of different kelongs, we went around Ubin Island to see a different part of Ubin. He was interactive and engaging with old and young. The sun set was spectacular.... the live catch at the kelong was fun. $20 per catch ... not bad the red snapper we caught was more then 1 kg size. We also bought live grouper $30 per fish.
