Estefany was absolutely awesome and made this an unforgettable trip. She was very knowledgeable and pointed out cool historical facts along the way to each site and even shed some light on ways El Salvador has changed over the last several years. The sites themselves were awe inspiring and both were a sight to behold. It became very easy to imagine ancient civilizations actively trading and living in San Andres and Tazumal. We also made a pit stop at the Coatepeque Caldera, a beautiful crater lake where we drank some beers and took in the view. We would have actually stopped here for lunch, however, we had decided to have lunch in a local eatery near one of the ruins and Estefany very graciously recommended a location. When we reached the national park, it was a bit too foggy, and later rainy, to get a clear view, so instead we did a brief walk and took in the fresh mountain air. We also sampled some local coffee in a pretty cool cafe on what is essentially a volcano. We had an absolutely blast and I definitely would not hesitate to book another tour the next time I visit. Everything from the pickup, tours, and dropoff were handled with utmost professionalism and I’m leaving El Salvador with a much deeper appreciation of the people and it’s culture. This tour definitely contributed a lot to that. 5 stars.

This was great adventure for my sisters and I. Carlos was fantastic. He provided us with much information, engaged in conversations and very attentive to our needs and wants. We enjoyed so much we schedule a second one the next day for Ruta de las Flores and coffee tasting. Weather wasn’t on our side the second day but it was still great.

I've been on a lot of tours in many countries, but hands down EC Tours was one of the best. The team was friendly, knowledgeable, fast, empathetic and went above and beyond to deliver a fantastic experience from beginning to end. We learned about El Salvador's history, ancient culture, modern day and saw beautiful sites. El Salvador isn't usually at the top of folk's list for visiting, and I hesitate to recommend it because I want to keep this treasure to myself, but if you get the chance to go---do it. And book EC Tours. They will take good care of you and by the end, you'll have new friends. Highly recommended.
Special shout out to Estefany (she's absolutely the best and the reason we'll be back), Edwin (what's not to love about him? He's a teddy bear with an infectious smile and kind spirit. Elena is working on her English, but even with the basics down, she's great to be around. Rene was nice too! I don't usually leave long reviews, but this team earned it!

My boyfriend and I got picked up at the resort we were staying at around 8:30 am by Miguel and we started our day. We went to two different Mayan sites and a volcano park. Miguel was so knowledgeable and taught us a lot about the history of the Mayan sites. We also ate lunch at a restaurant with good food and an amazing view of Coatepeque lake. Miguel also offered to take many photos of my boyfriend and I, which came out very good. Our tour ended around 3:45 and we made our way make to our resort which took close to 2 hours. Miguel’s driving was also a plus, I kept falling asleep as we drove to each location. If I ever get the chance to visit El Salvador again I would want to try the hike up the volcano.

We visited Cerro Verde and two archeological sites, Tazumal and San Andres. And it was truly an incredible experience. Our tour guide Yesenia was so knowledgeable and passionate which made the experience much more memorable. She was funny and so charismatic that we had such a fun time while we were learning. Thank you!

Wow ! Worth it and more. I was there for a work trip and only had Saturday and Sunday till 1 (4PM flight). Edwin and Katia were truly amazing. I saw so much, they explained in extreme detail and everyone was shocked by all that I was able to do in the limited time. I 💯 recommend them and will do so to anyone I know going to El Salvador 🇸🇻

Excellent introduction to El Salvador, with engaging narrative of two Mayan archeological sites at different levels of excavation plus scenic Volcanoes Park. Miguel is friendly, articulate, knowledgeable, and passionately interested in Mayan history. Relaxing lunch at stunning overlook of caldera lake. Pleasant drives through scenic countryside to Cerro Verde overlook for commanding, panoramic views of volcanoes and countryside while sipping excellent Salvadoran coffee.

Our first tour, Volcanoes Park and Two Maya Sites, with Estefany was so incredible, we scheduled a second tour to the Conchagua Volcano and Fonseca Gulf with Edwin, the owner of the company. Estefany and Edwin were super knowledgeable, friendly and kind, and went out of their way make it special. Both tours were well organized, and Edwin was super accommodating with our last-minute request. These experiences were the highlight of our family vacation, and I highly recommend! I will definitely be booking with them again the next time I’m in El Salvador.

Estefania was fun and friendly and had great knowledge of prehistory and current events. The trip is a full day and very well worth it. My only suggestion is that Joya de Ceren could be easily added as the trip goes by San Andres and it is relatively close. Either way, Joya de Ceren is more interesting than San Andres. The arrangements are perfect and the car is great, the value is good, and El Salvador is AMAZING!
