Great boat tour
Aug 2020
I had a great experiene with Kotor Boat Tours. I passed by one of their many signs in Kotor. I didn't have to decide right away if I would join a trip, so I made a reservations later that day trought Whatsapp, without obligation.

The captain, Alan, was very flexibel. The tour was planned to be 4 hours but one of the participants asked for a 5 hour trip and that was also possible, for the same price.

Alan was very enthusiastic and share his knowledge at every stop we made.

It was a nice tour and a full day activity (12:00 - 17:00 hrs.) I highly recommend this tour if you visit Kotor.

The best way to see Boka Bay and all that it has to offer.
Aug 2019
We came to Kotor on a Princess cruise and decided to break away from the cruise line tours and booked with Kotor Boat Tours. Skipper Millic R. was so professional and nice. He knew that the best way to see Black and Blue caves was to head straight away for the caves. We were there with only 4 other small boats, so we swam in the blue cave with only 12-15 other people. Once you get there you will understand that on a day when the cruise boat(s) are in Kotor, this is like having a private cave swim :)
Thank you Millic and Kotor Boat Tours.

Very nice!
Better then the touristic offers near the big harbour. Very friendly and professional.

Worth its money as you are a relatively small group.

Only sad thing is that boats are still allowed in the blue cave. Boats should stay out and only swimmers should be allowed. But not the tour operators fault.

Good way to see Kotor's beauty
Jul 2019 • Friends
3.5 stars, rounded up to 4

Kotor is an absolutely beautiful place and being on the water allows for incredible views.

Excellent communication from the company in advance to our tour and their location was very easy to find.

There were 8 people on our boat and this seemed like the perfect number of people to comfortably sit on the boat.

This is a SPEED boat ride. The boat goes fast and the ride isn't necessarily comfortable. We were bouncing around and holding on (to ourselves and belongings). Be prepared to be splashed. Now with this speed, we were able to see some amazing parts of Kotor, and I had to remind myself of this.

There was limited commentary or explanation from the driver -- this would have been nearly impossible when the boat was moving. He did share information about the submarine pen and tidbits about other areas. I would have liked to have heard more about the Lady of the Rock as we were only told when to meet back on the boat.

Beach was crowded but fine, and there was a fee for the chairs. An hour was more than enough time here, and I wouldn't consider it a must-see.

As others have stated, there was no mention of lifejackets and I did not notice it posted anywhere on the boat. There was no safety talk or introduction to the tour once on board.

Fun Boat Trip
A really enjoyable and fun speedboat trip. I took my 16 year old daughter and her friend and they both said it was the best day of the holiday. It wasn't particularly informative but was just a fun, exhilarating ride with beautiful views.

Why not five stars? The beach we went to was packed and when we sat down on our towels we were told we would have to pay unless we went to the public area. I think this should have been explained to us before we got off the boat. The public area should have been pointed out to us. Also we felt the time spent at the beach was too short.

Despite this, we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and would definitely recommend the trip.

Outstanding tour
From the clear instructions in our booking, to the informative (offering more information than any of the places we stopped at) this is a great tour to choose. Highly recommended! Great value, not overcrowded boat and enough time in each location to really appreciate each.

Professional company, trip exceeded expectations!
Jun 2019 • Family
We went out with Kotor Boat Tours during a 1-day stop in Kotor (arrival via cruise ship). We did the morning tour, which took slightly longer than 4 hours - about 5. The boat was a brand new speed boat in very good condition, and the driver was skilled and professional the whole time. It was lovely to be out on the water for a few hours, and this is a great way to see the coastline around Kotor!

We particularly appreciated that our guide went above and beyond to accommodate my mum, who was using a cane and had some difficulty getting in and out of the boat. At some of the stops he pulled up to alternative unloading spots so she could step in/out of the boat more easily, which was much appreciated. We were impressed with his ability to manoeuvre in the submarine cave, and the blue cave stop was incredibly pretty. The beach stop was just okay (think you could take it or leave it); it consisted of a short strip of rocky beach with basically just a row of restaurants and not much more. But this is optional, so you can decide if it appeals to you - it does provide a good opportunity to swim, if it's warm enough and that appeals to you. (Note: there are no public washrooms, so if you need to use one at that point in the trip you'll need to buy something at one of the restaurants.)

Overall, very happy to recommend this company. Thank you for a great half-day in Kotor!

Fantastic way to spend a half-day in Kotor!
Jun 2019 • Friends
Our Adriatic cruise had a one-day stop at Kotor. One of our fellow passengers had privately arranged a group tour with Kotor Boat Tours including a beach stop (1 hour), visits to Perast (half an hour to wander this lovely old town) and Our Lady of the Rocks (20 minutes - more than enough time for this small church on an island), close views of the former WWII prison at Mamula, and a very cool short stop inside a Cold War-era submarine hangar. All stops were great but the best was at the Blue Cave where our captain navigated in and out of several caves and through arches. Weather has to be perfect for the "blue" of the blue cave to be at its best, but even without perfect weather, the stop at the caves had all of us saying "wow" every minute or so. Truly amazing. Kotor Boat Tours is a very professional company, well-run, good communications, and very reasonably priced. Our captain was very solicitous in making sure that a couple of us with some knee problems were able to get and out of the boat safely. For cruisers, this company is ideally located less than 200 meters from where the cruise ships and tenders dock. We were on brand new and very comfortable 10-passenger speed boats, with a choice of sitting in shade or in the sun. The scenery was spectacular from beginning to end, and experiencing it close-up from the water level in a small boat is quite unlike what you will see from the cruise ship. This boat trip was a highlight of our holiday. Note that you can either contact the company to arrange a customized group tour or book on one of their regular tours. Tip: We went in early June and water was fairly cold, and beach is rocky rather than sandy, so not ideal for beach swimming. But water is clear and the stop was enjoyable - restaurants with washrooms available at the beach.
