        Excellent trip
The attractions are very good, places colorful and the excursion is packed with them so that elsewhere thay would make two trips out of this one 😃 The waterfall more beautiful than I expected, cruising Mekong daytime and at sunset was a fantastic experience, cave is memorable. Playing with elephant was fun! Lunch was tasty in a picturesque location overlooking the river and both Hmong village and rice whisky making place were interesting. Last but not least the guide Mr Pong was great giving interesting informations, being fun and very helpful and friendly towards the group.

        A great day!
They picked us up at our hotel on time in tuk tuk. We then arrived at Manifa elephant center where some of the people in our group needed to have breakfast, so we had to wait quite a bit. Our guide , 'Year', spoke a great english (he actually speaks 5 or 6 fluently) was well organized and kind. The kayaking was amazing, the scenery breathtaking. The caves were ok, but it was fun to get there kayaking and going back to Manifa for lunch also kayaking. The waterfalls are not to be missed. They are simply gorgeous! We took a ton of pictures. Really a great day that we highly recommend! :)

Check off the most important must does while in Luang Prebang
Mr Thin was great, he arrived right on time, was very accommodating to the group and checked multiple times to ensure everyone was included and knew what was happening . He kept a good pace without anything seeming rushed and packed a lot into one day

Had an amazing hike with the very knowledgeable, fun and inquisitive guide Mr Dang - would highly recommend as you get to hike through the Laos jungle for approx 13km and see so much of it that you might not otherwise

Brilliant destinations with our excellent guide, Phong aka Mr. Pingpong.
Good value for money - definitely recommend doing this as early in your LP stay as you can. A full day offering a sampler platter of experiences facilitated by Mr Pingpong, a super nice & funny guy who speaks very good English. Bring a towel and your swimmies. And some snacks wouldn’t go amiss as there’s a lot to do before lunchtime. After the morning pickup, we headed south toward the Kuang Si waterfalls, stopping at a Hmong village. Phong offered an entertaining overview of the Lao peoples’ history and current life/traditions in a Hmong village, while a pair of villagers demonstrated a range of traditional practices. From there, we continued on to the Kuang Si waterfalls. Phong pointed out the best swimming holes and photo op spots and took some good pics of the crew. Highly recommend making the climb to the top - steep and arduous, but worth it for the views and the secret swimming hole (and the exercise). And definitely give yourself at least 30 minutes to relax in the bracing waters before leaving - SO nice. By 12:30, we were back in the van starting the roughly 1 hour 15 minute drive back north, skirting the city on our way to the Manifa elephant camp and its longboat dock. Had a decent buffet lunch outdoors as well as a little elephant interaction. Note: Manifa offers elephant rides here, which surprised us all when we saw it. We had no way of telling how strictly they adhere to ethical practices, but you may elect to skip this excursion on principle if this practice doesn’t align with your views on animal welfare. Charge your phone/camera battery for the ride upriver to the Pak Ou caves. Apart from the fascinating history & spectacle of the caves, there are loads of photo ops - beautiful rock formations, expansive views of the Mekong and the imposing mountains beyond. Also lots of buffalo, goats and pigs along the shores. One the way back to LP, we stopped to visit a Ban Xang Hai whisky maker. Phong gave us a solid high-level explanation of the process and the lore behind each of the critter whiskeys (bottles containing cobras, scorpions, centipedes and geckos). Samples for those who want them. From here, we cruised back downriver to LP and were at the dock by about 6:15pm. Caught some good sunset views along the way. Of course there are ample opportunities to buy Lao products along the way :) FWIW the quality is high and the prices are very reasonable when compared to what’s on offer at the markets in town so if you’re looking for a handwoven scarf or other souvenir, it’s definitely worth bringing some extra cash along. And as always, keep one eye on the clock. I think excursions like this are a great way to find experiences worth revisiting on your own when you can take more time to relax and enjoy being in the moment without having to check your watch.

Wonderful day tour around Luang Prabang!
Mr. PingPong was a wonderful guide. We covered all of the spots that we wanted to see outside of Luang Prabang. Mr. PingPong was very informative and entertaining, and he made the day fun.

        Great day tour
We really enjoyed this day tour and would recommend it to anyone wishing to explore Laos beyond Luang Prabang itself. Everything was very well organised, our guide Mr. Pingpong was very friendly and professional and kept us well entertained throughout the day. He made sure we had time for everything and always managed to stick to a well-timed schedule. Thank you, dear Mr. Pingpong and Manifa Travel for this wonderful day.

Kuang Si waterfalls, Pak Ou caves and sunset cruise
Our guide was Mr Ping Pong who did everything that he could to make this an enjoyable day. The waterfalls were beautiful and the sunset cruise was great. However I did think that the Pak Ou were a little disappointing. Whilst it was a long day I would definitely recommend it to others. The buffet lunch was great and getting to feed the elephant was an added bonus.

        Fantastic day
Overall phenomenal day. Pingphong was my tour guide for the caves, rice whiskey, and boat ride. He was absolutely awesome; he remembered my name, was super friendly, and made it great. I had a great experience, laughed a lot at the rice whiskey presentation, and enjoyed the leisurely sunset boat ride.

Multi-experience tour lasting the whole day! With an excellent guide!
We highly recommend this multi-sport experience! Our guide Vone did an excellent job from 830am to 600pm for us. Vone is very knowledgeable and was able to explain many aspects of culture (Whiskey Village, Buddha Cave, etc), History, Nature while being very good at bicycling and kayaking too. This tour is an excellent value because there are so many sights and experiences. The Elephant Camp is very interesting in terms of learning about and feeding elephants, plus it is functional with showers, towels and a pool. My husband and I both enjoyed the very tasty buffet lunch that offered vegetarian options, various meats (freshly grilled right next to the pavilion), fried foods for people who like that, fruits, etc. Vone was very generous in keeping us supplied with cold water bottles. Apparently this bike route is new and avoids the traffic from Luang Prabang. The Trek bikes were in excellent condition. If you are more fit than average we recommend you request the private tour because our only issue was being grouped with some soft city people who could hardly pedal. In fact Vone nicely organized a truck pickup for them and after that we could pedal at a good pace. Also Vone organized that we would not have to kayak with this unathletic family and we were very appreciative. During the sunset boat tour, Vone gave us cold beers, water and banana chips. It was a very full and active day!

Highlight of our trip in Luang Prabang!

This tour packs a massive day starting with the morning Alms ceremony, visiting many temples, the national museum and of course Kuang Si Waterfalls.

The waterfalls especially were an absolute must, absolutely beautiful and great for a swim. Words cannot describe just how incredible the waterfall is.

If you’ve only got a short time in Luang Prabang this tour will ensure you see everything and more that this city has to offer.

Our guide was informative and friendly, would highly recommend this tour.

Thank you for taking the time to write a review here. I'm pleased you found guide Jack to be extremely knowledgeable. We are glad to hear that this tour gave you a real insight into Lao culture. Indeed, Luang Prabang is still the center of Buddhist faith in Laos, and its World Heritage temples and towns are part of people's daily lives. Hearing unique local stories from local guide is a good approach to learning about culture and history. Also ໋thank you for recommending Jack, our guide. I wish you a wonderful trip from Luang Prabang. Best regards,

We spent a wonderful day exploring Luang Prabang and waterfalls with Mr. Thin.
Our guide was not only very knowledgeable but also friendly and fun to deal with. He was very attentive to our suggestions and was extremely flexible. He went beyond his regular duties, for example helping us to book a boat trip for the next day. I am definitely recommend this tour with Mr. Thin to anyone who is going to Luang Prabang.

This tour was perfect for us to learn about the history of Luang Prabang and Laos and to ensure we saw the main sites we were interested in. Our guide was amazing - knowledgeable, friendly and customized the tour to what we were most interested in. The driver was professional and safe. It is a long day, but I would definitely recommend this tour depending on the amount of time you are spending in the Luang Prabang.

In addition, the tour company was easy to work with from booking to confirmation of our tour and time. Would recommend!

This was a great private tour with guide and comfortable private van with air conditioning. My guide “Jimmy” (his Anglophone name) was great. Good English, really patient, knowledgeable and friendly. Went swimming in the waterfalls. Bring a bathing suit and towel. There is a bathroom to change in nearby. I would not recommend the Green Jungle Cafe & Restaurant near the falls. Not sanitary at all. Bad service and mediocre food. The location is good, but maybe for a drink only. I really enjoyed Luang Prabang and wish I had allocated more days in Laos. Also, I wish I had purchased some hand crafted goods, which were beautiful. They were expensive at the craft market, but in retrospect, I wish I had bought some. I didn’t stop to try the water Buffalo ice cream, but other people told me it was good, so worth a try. Also found a good French style restaurant and a French bakery while on this tour. Yum.

The tour guide was very good and easy to understand his English we visited a villiage to see how the Mong people lived in the old days. The went to the beautiful waterfalls then had a buffet lunch at the Elephant sanctuary. Then went on boat to limestone caves on the Mekong river. Finally stopped at a Whiskey distillery on way back by boat to Luang Prabang

Absolutely fantastic. Perfect tour guide named Pouang (not sure how to spell it!) who was so knowledgeable and tailored the trip to us, a brilliant storyteller who could answer any question. He was patient and kind and really made the trip. The actual trip was lovely, not rushed and laid back. Perfect for those trying to see a lot of Luang Prabang in a day. Well worth the price. Fantastic day starting at the local market, then a visit to a Hmong village. The Kuang waterfalls are SPECTACULAR! The water is a milky turquoise every bit as beautiful as in photos. We had a marvelous day. I would highly recommend. Our guide was Ken - he was fluent English and extremely good.
