Mr Pong kept the group entertained and also shared the Laos culture. The tour was not rushed at all. We have lunch, snacks and even cold beverage. The waterfall and the sunset was the highlight of the tour. Highly recommend to everyone

        Great tour
We had a great private full day tour of Luang Prabang with Mr Thin. The national museum was made more interesting by all the information given by Mr Thin. We visited the well known temples and had some nice lunch next to the river. I would highly recommend doing a private tour so you can see this laid back destination at your own pace and ask all the questions you want.

        Must do in Luang Prabang!
This tour was fantastic! It is very well organised, covering everything you must do in Luang Prabang in a single day. Not to mention the free food, beer, and water all day too. Everything ran very smoothly thanks to our amazing tour guide, Mr Pong. His perfect English and knowledge of the surrounding area gave us a very insightful look into the culture of Luang Prabang. Our best tour guide yet! Would highly recommend :)

        A very interesting tour
This tour consists of a visit to a local Hmong village, Kuang Si Waterfall, Manifa Elephant Village, Pak Ou Cave, and the whiskey village from the chronological order. I could enjoy a variety of things ranging from beautiful natural scenery to playing with elephants. I especially feel thankful for Mr. Pingpong for this thorough knowledge with the culture and history of Laos, as well as his attentiveness. Thank you!

        Great day trip
This was an excellent day out. It started with a prompt pick up from my hostel & we were transported in an air conditioned minivan to the river to get on the river cruise boat. The boat was lovely & we were offered tea & coffee as we boarded. The cruise up the river is very scenic & relaxing. Our guide was excellent at informing us of interesting viewpoints and areas of interest along the way. After an hour we stopped at the whisky village which was pleasant & informative. Then we went to the pak ou caves which were great to see & our guide explained a lot about them before we walked up to see them ourselves. After the cruise we stopped for lunch at the elephant sanctuary & even saw an elephant & got to feed her before we sat down to eat - amazing! After lunch we went to the Kuang si falls via minibus which was comfortable. The falls were incredible, a great activity for the warm afternoon.

        Great
We did the tour over 2 days. Our first afternoon was with Mr Pong, who was great, very informative & had a GSOH. We got a boat up the Mekong, visited the caves & the whiskey shop. On our second afternoon we went to the waterfalls (our group opted out of visiting the local community village). The waterfalls were fantastic.

        Mix up with tours offered
I initially started my tour as part of the kayaking group - only 3 of us, plus the guide. We had a good time exploring and listening to all the legends/stories behind the history of the tour. The guide made sure we were safe at all times. The two fellas were permitted to paddle their own kayak. I opted to go tandem with the guide as I wasnt sure if I was strong enough to endure the whole morning in a solo kayak. We visited caves (Pak Ou caves) along the route crossing the Mekong river with all the cruise boats going past!! We arrived at the Elephant sanctuary to witness "bath time" I think the guests got more than they bargained for! We had lunch which was really good and freshly cooked. I then learned I had not been booked to go on to do the waterfall tour of which I was somewhat disappointed. I was handed over to 'Mr Pingpong" who then became my tour guide. I was told I was doing the cave tour AGAIN! Followed by the rice whiskey making and hopefully see a beautiful sunset. The sunset part of the tour was all I really was interested in unfortunately. This said Mr Pingpong was very kind and understanding of my situation and did everything to still include me, although I'd joined half way through. He was very professional in his approach and dealing with my complaint, totally understanding why I was a little annoyed/despondent. He is an asset to your company.

We really enjoyed our day out on this tour though were exhausted come the end as had got up at 5am to give Alms to the Monks. No regrets doing that though. Our morning guide, Khum, was excellent. His English was really good as was his knowledge. He was warm and friendly and explained everything fully as we went along. He even booked our lunch time restaurant for us come the end of his session. The city tour with temples and market was fascinating and we felt really informed. Breakfast and lunch were not included on this tour, but the bus dropped you back at either your hotel or a restaurant to your liking which was fantastic. The afternoon part of the tour was handled by a different guide. I couldn’t tell you his name as I don’t think he told us. We went to see a Hmong Village en route to the waterfalls. Both were absolutely worth seeing, but there was little to no information for this part of the tour. Five mins out from being picked up we received a text saying to pack a bathing costume if we wanted to swim. Thankfully we’d returned to our hotel after lunch for the pick up so could do this, but others in the bus hadn’t received that information, so couldn’t swim which was disappointing for them. The bus journey was pretty horrendous. One lady had to get off the bus as felt so sick and I was similar. The mini bus was over hot and although everyone had a seat it felt enclosed and crowded and the driver was very clutchy which didn’t help with the sickness. All that said, the falls were stunning and swimming in the pretty turquoise waters was refreshing and fun. I’d highly recommend the tour, but if you’re staying in Luang Prabang for a few days then maybe split the tours up as it was pretty full on and exhausting.

Big tourist attraction that is still worth a visit.

      Getting there:
There are many minivans and buses and scooters that leave from Luang Prabang and park in purpose built carpark. You have to park here.

      Access:
Tickets have to be purchased before everyone takes electric minivans to a central area (coffee shops etc) before there’s short walk up through the forests to a series on beautiful limestone falls.

      Swimming:
You can swim in most of the falls but not the top, most significant fall.

      Is it worth it?
Yes. Even on a busy day like I went the waterfalls are beautiful and do bring your swimming gear because the water is wonderful and cooling.

Really a wonderful trip esp the Kuang Si Waterfall.
The drivers and guides were very courteous and the trip was excellent.
They picked us from Hotel Lobby and the trip was as scheduled. We covered

      Morning Market
      Royal Palace & Museum
      Wat Xiengthong
      Mt Phousi

The drivers provided cold water bottles and refreshing wipes to refresh ourselves frequently after every visit and it was a great feeling in the hot weather.

After morning tour they dropped us back in Hotel at about 12 noon and we had 2 hours time to take rest after lunch.

Then we went to Kuang Si water fall and the guide (I forgot his name) was excellent and provided us with all details and bought the entry tickets for Kuang Si.

The trip was memorable as the group consisted of many people from all over South East Asia like - South Korea, Malaysia, Thailand, India and Singapore.

      I had booked both
      Luang Prabang Morning City Tour
Kuang Si Water fall afternoon tour
      together as a single tour.

Keep your expectations low as once they receive payment, the company no longer cares. The company is awful at communicating. After paying, I never received the booking number or details I was told I would get after paying. After emailing multiple times and not getting a response, it took multiple numbers (since they never responded to my group chat message) before finally getting a response days later, only hours before my tour. If you check the “assistance groupchat” you will notice dozens of people a day asking for details regarding their tour and pickup that go unanswered. Guides arrive late to hotels with no communication leaving you wondering if someone is actually coming. On my last tour, they left behind a group member who was late without any sympathy or waiting 15 minutes. I had done three tours since I had already booked and this felt ironic since they were not on time. In all 3, every time I had either a driver or guide who was new leading to us losing the driver or the guide not having good English and knowledge. Added in some groupchat examples from the morning!

We are aware that there were frequent delays in emails informing customers of pick-up times during the last week of December and a few days after New Year. We sincerely apologize for this issue. This was due to an experienced office staff member being absent in the middle of December due to unavoidable personal circumstances, resulting in an insufficient reception staff for the peak season. In order to inform customers of pick-up times, reception staff can only calculate an approximate time estimate if they accurately understand the location of the itinerary destination and the location of the pick-up hotel. Currently, we only have one experienced reception staff member who fully understands this. During the last week of December and a few days after New Year, we received more reservations than we expected. We stopped or limited the acceptance of some tours to the extent that we could provide them, but this was not enough to improve the overwork of our office reception staff. During this period, reception staff did not have time to send emails confirming pick-up times, etc., because they prioritized administrative tasks to ensure that tours were carried out by the tour operation team. We are reflecting on this point and are currently implementing both current measures and long-term improvement plans. We sincerely apologize to some customers who joined our tours during peak season for not notifying them or experiencing delays in pickup, and we will do our utmost to prevent such incidents from happening in the future.

Luang Prabang is such a beautiful place and Kuang Si waterfall is a must-go! Manifa Travels provided a hassle free private tour which included a full day Mekong River cruise, visit to Pak Ou Cave and Kuang Si waterfall on the first day, and a full day city tour on the second day. The staff are very responsive and helpful. Our guide (Mr Bounluam) was very knowdgeable and interesting and was always very accomodating to our every needs. On the elephant camps, I find that the elephants are healthy and well cared for, and the living conditions for the animals are definitely on par or even better than most zoos I've visited. Definitely recommend Manifa Travels!

We had a brilliant day with Mr Thin! We went for the early start to watch the monks get their ‘alms’ which if you haven’t seen was definitely worth doing despite the early rise! We then ticked off a few things around Luang Prabang really early which was amazing! It was great to see the morning market coming to life.
What was well planned was they then took us back to our hotel for breakfast and we had about an hour to relax as well before they picked us up again.
Then we did a few more things around the city including the national museum before heading to the waterfall which is amazing!
I definitely recommend this as Mr Thin was very knowledgeable and really helped bring details to life.
      Thanks Mr Thin!

This is my first time in Laos and Luang Phrabang is one of the most wonderful city i would like to recommend to all to experience.
I spent 3 nights at a hotel in the city center. Around the place, there is a Night Market about 10 minutes walk. They sell traditional clothes, foods, and things from villages. In the early morning, there is also the market called Morning Market, which most of them sell traditional foods that so much dulicious and wonderful things from forest and villages.
As Luang Phrabang is just the small city but it is surounding with green mountains and natural tourist sites. Besides that, it is still the city that preserve the Laos traditional cultures.

We had a terrific guide- Boun who did a great job explaining the history of Luang Prabang. He told great stories and had a wonderful sense of humor. He knew all the tricks of the trade and picked the best spot to gives alms to the monks and a quiet spot at a temple to watch the sunset. He catered the day to our needs and wants. We loved it! A very special day from beginning to end! Thank you Boun!

Highlight of our trip in Luang Prabang!

This tour packs a massive day starting with the morning Alms ceremony, visiting many temples, the national museum and of course Kuang Si Waterfalls.

The waterfalls especially were an absolute must, absolutely beautiful and great for a swim. Words cannot describe just how incredible the waterfall is.

If you’ve only got a short time in Luang Prabang this tour will ensure you see everything and more that this city has to offer.

Our guide was informative and friendly, would highly recommend this tour.

We spent a wonderful day exploring Luang Prabang and waterfalls with Mr. Thin.
Our guide was not only very knowledgeable but also friendly and fun to deal with. He was very attentive to our suggestions and was extremely flexible. He went beyond his regular duties, for example helping us to book a boat trip for the next day. I am definitely recommend this tour with Mr. Thin to anyone who is going to Luang Prabang.
