          Authentic local market
There were lots of colorful vegetables and fruits。All these delicious foods were incredibly affordable, ranging from just 10 to 60 Kip (about $0.10 to $2.50). It was a wonderful experience to taste the local cuisine .

life unfolds at a gentle pace, rich with culture and tradition.
Vegetables and fruits looked incredibly fresh, and those unknown but tempting tropical fruits made it hard to resist trying them. The morning market was neatly lined along the street, and every now and then, you could spot some locals chatting at the doorsteps.

          Waterfall under the rainbow
I chose the waterfall trip! Kuang Si Waterfall is one of the most famous natural landscapes in Laos, with multiple layers of waterfalls pouring down from a high altitude, forming multiple clear pools. The waterfall gives a strong visual and auditory impact. Especially under the sunlight, the mist around the waterfall forms beautiful rainbows, and the scenery is very charming! It is recommended to wear comfortable sports shoes and clothing suitable for outdoor activities. The trails around the waterfall may be a little slippery, so choose suitable shoes.

          Engaging with locals
After our guide showed us around the market in the morning, we also went to a small Buddhist temple nearby. The architectural style of the Buddhist temple is very unique. We walked around the Buddhist temple quietly. There are also some local people in the temple who perform their daily prayers, and we stayed here for a long time to admire the architectural beauty of the temple.

          Morning Market and Religious Experience
Finally, I got to experience the morning market in Laos! The market has many traditional snack stalls, featuring various authentic Laotian dishes. The food variety in Luang Prabang is rich, and I recommend trying several different snacks. Each one has its unique flavor and is definitely worth a try! The temples in Luang Prabang are also very famous. Our guide took us to visit Wat Xieng Thong and Wat Visounnarath. In the temples, I was fortunate to witness some religious activities, such as the monks' morning prayers and almsgiving. These activities made me feel the solemnity and tranquility of religion, and deepened my understanding of Buddhist culture.

The difference is the morning market experience
We saw many interesting things in every corner of the market. In addition to fresh ingredients and handicrafts, there were some stalls that particularly attracted us. For example, there was a stall that specialized in selling various spices and herbs. The stall owner used a hand-made method to make the spices into powder and then put them into small bags. He introduced us to the uses of some spices, such as curry powder can be used to make Thai dishes, and lemongrass can be used to make tea. We bought some and took them home, looking forward to making delicious dishes with them.

Morning alms and morning markets in Luang Prabang
It's too hot in April, 39℃ a day. It was decided to leave in the wee hours of the morning. Go to the charity at five o 'clock. Approximate location from the temple of Xiang Tong, two nearby streets. Leading the way are the venerable old monks, and finally the children, many children in Laos become monks, some of whom are said to have been born monks. The guide took us to the morning market further ahead of Xiangthong Temple, and the smell was delicious all the way.

          Laos Food and Culture Tour
The morning market is a great place to interact with locals. Here, I met many enthusiastic stall owners who not only introduced me to various delicacies and ingredients, but also shared many stories and culture about Luang Prabang. Through communication with them, I have a deeper understanding of the lifestyle and culture of Laos. In addition to food, there are many traditional handicraft stalls in the morning market. I saw exquisite wood carvings, hand-woven fabrics and traditional silver jewelry. These handicrafts not only have high artistic value, but also carry the cultural traditions of Laos. I bought some as souvenirs, hoping to bring this unique culture back home.

Walking through the local morning market
We walked through the market, stopping from time to time to try some snacks and communicate with the stall owners. We found that although we were foreigners, the locals were very friendly and willing to share their culture and life with us. Many of the things they bought were things they had never seen before, which was a very interesting experience!

          Luang Prabang Morning Market
The food at the Luang Prabang morning market is rich and varied, with both traditional Laotian snacks and food from neighboring countries. I tried sticky rice, grilled skewers, banana pancakes and various fresh fruits. The ingredients at the morning market are very fresh. The stall owners brought fresh vegetables, fruits and meat from surrounding farms early in the morning. I saw many tropical fruits that I had never seen before. These fresh ingredients are not only delicious but also affordable.

          Exotic Experience
At the morning market, you can also experience the traditional lifestyle of Laos. There is not much commercial atmosphere here, but more of the real life of the locals. You can see people buying daily necessities here, and if you are interested in Lao culture, there are many traditional art works to appreciate. Lao handicrafts are famous for their exquisite craftsmanship and unique designs. It is a good place to buy souvenirs.

          Tha Ruea Mae Market
Tha Ruea Mae Market is one of the must-see attractions in Luang Prabang. Here, you can not only taste authentic Lao snacks, but also buy unique handicrafts and souvenirs. The prices are also very cheap, so it is worth visiting.

          Great market experience
The morning market is located on a small street, with a wide variety of stalls, giving people a refreshing feeling. Different from traditional markets, first, it is not noisy here, but relatively quiet. Second, it is surprisingly clean here, without any disgusting odor. Third, the goods here are very complete, with many snacks and souvenirs. This gave me a new understanding of markets in different regions.

          Luang Prabang 🇱🇦 morning market
1: The morning market in Luang Prabang has all kinds of strange ingredients, you can imagine. 2: We stayed at the waterfall by the stream for a whole day, full of lazy breath, very comfortable. 3: The monks who go to beg for alms and the people waiting for alms on the roadside may be maintaining a spiritual balance between giving and receiving.

          May everything be fine
We strolled to Xieng ton temple, where the architectural beauty is breathtaking, the golden pagoda glitters in the sun, and every brick and tile reveals the sedimentation of history. Under the guidance of the guide, I not only admired the architectural art of the temple, but also gained a deep understanding of the depth and peace of Lao Buddhism. Those stories about history and the treasures inside made this visit meaningful. Through this half-day trip, I not only tasted authentic food, but also experienced the essence of Lao culture in depth. This is a soul-touching experience that has given me a deeper understanding and respect for the daily life and spiritual world of Laos.

Amy, our guide, was brilliant and so interesting, she will go onto do great things for Laos in future. She took us to a wonderful 'out of town' restaurant and then guided us through the Night Market, where she introduced us to lots of different local foods. She answered all our broader questions we had about Laos, which really added value after a week on holiday there.
It was very good but our only criticism is it was rather expensive, now knowing how reasonable food is in Laos.

A great introduction to Luang Prabang. We drove around the city, sampling three different food places in a small group of 6 guest. The first restaurant overlooked the Mekong river and the food was amazing. The second place was a local eating place on the outskirts of the city. The final destination showed us the night market and their tasty desserts. Phi speaks very good English and explained all the dishes and local customs.

We had an amazing experience with Pha. He took us to a mix of different places — both the food scene where locals hung out in and to the Night Market. He even helped us shop for souvenirs around the night market.

Pha really took the time to listen to our preferences and he was very responsive in terms of listening to our orders. Imagine that we had 8 people in the group!

You can really tell that Pha loves what he is doing. He was very passionate and energetic in answering our random questions, which ranged from the impact of the pandemic in Laos to why he preferred to buy from certain food stalls.

It was so easy to go around the different food spots because of the lovely Tuktuks. We also loved the hotpot beside the beautiful river.

After 15 minutes waiting I contact the provider.... Answer: oh I forgot to warn you that the whole thing is cancelled because you are the only participants.
Good job! On a Saturday night in Luang Prabang, in high season, you can't find a free table in a restaurant.
        Very, very disappointed!

This was an amazing experience. Amy was a fantastic guide and was very pleasant to speak with. The food was awesome, we ate at a local restaurant before she took us on an incredible guided tour through the night market. She was very knowledgeable on all of the great culinary items we tried, and as we nibbled our way through the tour as she shared wonderful insights about growing up in Laos and its very interesting culture and history. We had a really great time and would 10/10 recommend this tour to anybody.

Communication was great. We were phoned to ensure pickup details were accurate and timely. The tuktuk felt very safe and was well presented with a good driver. Our guide was very knowledgeable. We started with a city tour to get our bearings. Our first stop was delicious, friendly, local cuisine. We were always asked if we wanted more. There were not limits on anything. We definitely got our moneys worth. The following stops we were given choice over what we wanted to sample. We could have had anything. We always had seating available and a good chat.
We must recommend the coconut pancakes. They’re a must have!
This tour provided great local insight with interesting facts. It’s a good idea to take this tour early in your stay so you can return or try the local delicacies again on the following days.

Amazing tour with a great opportunity to try different Luang Prabang delicacies and get immersed in Laotian culture. Mr Jan was an excellent guide, adapting our tour to our preferences and doing his best to ensure we get the most out of it. We went to 3 places: a terrace on the Mekong river to ear hot pot beef bbq, a Laotian traditional bamboo restaurant where we ordered different mains such as buffalo in bamboo, etc; and then at the local street night market where we tried springrolls, coconut pankcakes, meet skews, etc etc.

Such a good night with a great guide, tonnes of food and new friends. We started off with hot pot but not like any of us knew it and we were already pretty full from just that. Then we moved to a local market for BBQ and anything else that took our fancy, like coconut icecreams. Our last stop was at the more touristy night markets for coconut pancakes and waffles, fruit snakes and spring rolls (and anything else we wanted to try... if we weren't so full). Our guide even helped speak with vendors when some people wanted to buy souvenirs.

We had a great evening with Pa and Vongphet.
They made us discover places outside tourists and traditional.
This comes at a cost but if you are a heavy eater and drinker you will not be disappointed.
        Taste whatever you desire.
        The attendants were great!!

The description of this tour is exceptionally misleading. We took a tuktuk along only main roads (no side-streets or alleyways) and went to a handful of street food vendors which each had the same selection of particularly old-looking food, often with flies around and lukewarm at best. It felt like there was a very real chance of food-borne illness at every stage, moreso than any of the other food tours we’ve done in SEA.

Other than the coconut pancakes, which were very tasty, none of the food in the description was available. No grilled meat, rice noodles or fruit drinks.

We were never offered any descriptions of how the food was made etc from the descriptions and often when we asked questions our guide wasn’t able to even tell us what the food was.

Our guide was very friendly and gave some great recommendations about things to do in the area. We felt bad for him that we neither ate much of the food nor were particularly engaged guests, but upon reflection we were overall pretty disappointed that the tour was very far from expectations.
