In addition to experiencing beautiful, unseen nature, you will also be able to discover the sacred places of Angkor, such as the famous temples of Angkor Wat, Bayon, the South Gate, and Ta Prohm, which is well-known as the “jungle temple”. In addition, you will visit well-preserved traditional villages and interact with local people who live around the temples. This bike tour will take you deep into Khmer history and culture with the assistance of your informative tour guide.

What to expect
  • Adventure along the jungle trails After you arrive at Unique Adventure Shop, your guide will explain your tour itinerary, set you up with a mountain bike, and then we will begin the tour from our shop. We will cycle through the jungle along rugged back roads in order to see temples concealed by the forest. Angkor Wat Discovery After a short ride, we will walk through Angkor Wat and explore the central temple complex. Your guide will lead you back in time in order to share with you the history of Angkor Wat and explain why Angkor Wat is so unique among the Angkorian temples. Temples and Local People After our visit to Angkor Wat, we will continue to bike at a leisurely pace to a tranquil village deep inside Angkor park. Along the way, we will pass orchards, rice fields, and vegetable gardens before reaching the South Gate of Angkor Thom, a beautiful spot for photo opportunities. We will then bike over to the West Gate of Angkor Thom and visit Bayon temple, known as the “Face Temple,” due to the many enigmatic smiling faces that adorn the temple. We will take a short break after visiting Bayon temple and have some local fruits to replenish your energy. Afterward, we will have lunch before going to see Ta Prohm, the temple famous for its strangler fig trees. Following our visit to Ta Prohm, an exciting countryside trail will lead you to the end of the bike tour. We will return late in the afternoon to town by vehicle or tuk-tuk.

Excellent tour, as expected
Feb 2020
Very knowledgeable and pleasant guide, good fruit snack stop, very nice lunch. Good bikes at sizes we requested. We cycled directly from our hotel, about 40km in total, easy cycling at a moderate pace on flat terrain. The temples we saw were spectacular.

It was really great to go by bike sometimes on jungle like trails between the temples!
Dec 2019
Our tour guide was ok and brought us wisely to the temple at the longest distance first since Angkor Wat is very crowded in the mornings. The day after we took a tuc-tuc early in the morning to see Angkor Wat in the sunrise instead. Be aware that if you are a woman you are not allowed to take the stairs to "heaven" if you just have a scarf to wrap around your legs (which is ok for all other temples including Angkor Wat except the "heaven".

Highlight of my stay in Cambodia
I had such a great time with on this tour. Being on the bike meant we were able to get to places that you couldn’t otherwise. It made for such a beautiful and peaceful experience. My guide Gra was very knowledgeable and a pleasure to have a conversation with. I can’t recommend enough!

Best day of the holiday
Aug 2019
H G Ra was an excellent guide. Took our family of 2 adults and 3 children (age 9-16) on a 30 km off road bike road round several of the main temples including Angkor Wat. Some of the best temples to visit were the overgrown smaller ones with no road access so sometimes we were the only people there. Our guide was very knowledgeable about the temples and the stories behind the carvings. We stopped at a local village which gave our children an insight into how the locals live. Excellent lunch stop. Would recommend the lok lak. Plenty of water provided all day.

Full day of fun
Dec 2018 • Friends
Our active group of 10 did this tour during Christmas holiday. As beautiful as the temples are, the riding is just as great. Our guides were fun and informative. The riding is off road on dirt trails without traffic. Because we all were strong riders they added a lesser used fun trail for our return after the last temple( about 35km)
Bikes were new and they have traditional mountain bikes and e-bikes
Loved this tour

Amazing Bike Tour
We had the best day cycling from our accomodation with Chira. He was an amazing guide and a lot of our trip was though the jungle. We visited 4 temples around Angkor Watt. The bikes were great quality. We would highly recommend this company.

Fantastic
Our guide, Hean G Ra, was early and eager. He speaks great English and has great knowledge of Angkor and its history. We wound up with a private tour at a cost which was much lower than what other companies were charging for a large group tour. We had good bikes and a filling lunch. The company was accommodating and gave us a free ride to buy our entrance tickets. The best part of the day was when we left the roads and biked jungle trails to reach a temple. Overall a fantastic experience and we highly recommend Hean as a guide.

Exercise, Culture and unique experience
Mar 2018 • Solo
My guide Roem did a great job setting up the pace and making the journey pleasant and meet my hunger and thirst request. He had a great knowledge of the place and also interesting facts that most likely wouldn't be on guide books.
The tour included a nice meal at a local place and the amazing views of the temples while riding the bicycle makes this tour a must.

DO THIS TOUR RIGHT NOW!
My tour guide Som was the best tour guide I've ever come across. His English is amazing and his knowledge is even more incredible. I just happened to book on a day when no one else booked this tour so it became a solo tour - best tour ever. He showed me the main temples but also took me through uncommon paths and jungles to incredible ruins and old temples that aren't mainstream and are jyst magnificent and peaceful. I don't think I would have seen any of these hidden gems with any other tour. I can't speak highly enough of Som. He is so personable, and so flexible to your requests. Don't waste any time, ask for Som and DO THIS TOUR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
