About the operator
Don’t take it from us – here’s what people have to say about this operator:
- hajraa20250 contributionsGreat value for money - highly recommendedTour: Bali in a day! We had Raka as our driver and guide. We did everything mentioned on the site. Agus, the tour operator was very good with communication and sent confirmation on WhatsApp immediately. Raka came on time and first we went to the temple. He gave us two options and we chose the temple in which we can go inside. Then we went to the Coffee Plantation and then monkey forest and then the rice terrace and then swings ending with the volcano view and a waterfall. All tickets were included in the deal (IDR585 pax) and it was great value for money. Raka stopped when kids got hungry and he was very friendly and respectful giving interesting info and answering all our questions. Best way to explore Bali in a day! Our hotel told us to go with Klook but I am happy I took a risk and chose Bali4u Tours!Written 17 January 2025

Mudana (very informative about the Balinese culture) and his wife were very accommodating, worked with us on what we wanted on tour. Rain was heavy with slight flooding, yet we had a good time. Looked after us and werealso great photographers 😊 Thank you, Mudana & Wife. JacquiWritten 17 January 2025

We covered the North and North west parts of Bali including temples and Rice fields. He provides a lot of information, as well as giving you time to roam the area by yourself. Would definitely recommend this tour.Written 12 January 2025

- BucketListTrip0 contributionsOverview of Bali For First TimersKrisna gave us a very good 8 hour introductory tour to Bali. Private tour is the perfect way to go as you can set your own itinerary and schedule. Krisna was accommodating and flexible; he made sure he knew what time we needed to return to ship; brought us to a nice restaurant for lunch overlooking the beautiful rice terraces. We visited the Puseh Batuan Temple, Tegenungan Waterfall, Tegalalang Rice Terrace & Sacred Monkey Forest. He was willing to do much more with us, but we were tired and ready to head back to the ship. Good driver; would definitely recommend 😋Written 4 January 2025

- AlistairB2280 contributionsBeautiful Bali tourA great day out visiting some iconic Bali tourist venues. For a days trip you get to cover a lot and it's well worth the trouble. A reasonable amount of driving but definitely worth it. My driver, Tegeg, was exceptional. Very patient driver, pleasant and he has plenty of helpful comments and explanations for you at each venue. Would definitely use him as my driver again. Great day - even the rain held off so that was a bonus.Written 26 December 2024

We learned a lot about Balinese culture, traditions, and local insights from him, which made the trip even more meaningful. - Getaway615252877490 contributionsRun To Alon's Halal Grill In Highland, NYMy wife and I just had lunch at Alon's Halal Grill in Highland, NY. We had Chicken Tanaka, with rice & sweet potatoes. It was served with a savory Mediterranean sauce that took us to another world. They also served us tea with fresh cranberries and lemons in it. The entire meal was more of an exotic old world experience and just another lunch. And Sober the owner and Nabob the hostess treated us like family, not as customers. The service was friendly and lavish. I can't think of one think more they could have done to make us feel more at home, except at home I can't cook anything like what we just had. Don't walk run to this restaurant and just enjoy the atmosphere and sumptuous experience or get your treats to go. The fried bread was also a fabulous!Written 5 December 2024

We had a wonderful experience on the Best of Ubud 1 Day Private Tour with Mudana and his wife Yuli. Mudana provided great commentary and information throughout the tour, making it both engaging and educational. He offered excellent recommendations and was always ready to answer our questions.
Yuli added so much to the experience with her joyful banter, warm presence, and friendly demeanour. She was an excellent photographer, capturing beautiful moments for us to cherish. Her presence made the tour even more enjoyable.
Unfortunately, we did not visit the Ubud market due to traffic, which took up a decent portion of the day. However, Mudana and Yuli were attentive to the situation and re-prioritised certain events to ensure we didn’t miss out on key attractions like the waterfalls and temples before they closed. They were also happy to be flexible with our itinerary, offering alternatives like the Holy Water Temple instead of Batuan Temple, although we opted to stick to the original plan.
Overall, we highly recommend this tour with Mudana and Yuli for anyone looking to explore Ubud. Thank you, Mudana and Yuli, for a memorable day!

Rio was a great driver and very knowledgeable. We stayed in a hotel close to the monkey forest so he was sure to set up the itinerary for what worked with the pick up location. He was on time and made an 8 hour day feel easy. This tour gave us the chance to see handmade art, the rice terraces, the center Ubud, a waterfall and monkey forest. We thought it would be a large group but the booking was a private tour for only $50 USD per person which covered admission along with the tours. He provided us with cold water and suggested a wonderful place for lunch. Lunch is not included but the place he dropped us at was affordable and delicious. We would recommend this to a friend or do it ourselves again!

This best of Ubud trip was spoiled by the horrendous Bali traffic and our guide allocating way too much time for us to shop, then rushing us at the temple and rice terraces. We never got to see the waterfall as we run out of time, we barely made it in time for the Monkey Forest, and the entire trip took around 11 hours! Needless to say, by the time we got to the hotel we were exhausted. Our guide, who is more of a driver than a guide, gave us around half an hour max at each site, with the exception of the monkey forest. I wish we had more time at the temple to admire the architecture and learn about its history. We did, however, have plenty of time to shop. You are ushered into extremely overpriced tourist-trap shops that use high-pressure sales tactics to sell you stuff ie the guide telling you this is a family or friend's woodcarving shop. This makes you feel obligated to buy something. You must haggle and haggle hard as the prices for the silver and woodcarvings are astronomical. We were taken to a silver jewelry shop, a woodcarving shop, a batik fabric shop, and a coffee/tea shop that sells different Balinese coffees and teas. I bought some nice things, but the shopping was exhausting, with salespeople following our every more. You cannot have a single minute to browse freely, especially at the jewelry and woodcarving shops. In retrospect I should have hired a private driver for the day and tell him exactly where I want to go. That would have been a much better experience. Also- no water is provided on this trip, you must bring your own or ask your guide to stop so you can buy some. A microscopic bottle of water given to you by a salesperson hoping you will buy something is not enough water for the day!

The trip started off with us getting promptly picked up by our guide Dastra, who was absolutely amazing! He had so much knowledge about Ubud, Bali as a whole, and its culture.
We first visited where clothes are hand made and were quickly shown the process and then wondered around the art museum and shop before heading off the where hand made jewellery was made. The process was fascinating and the shop was beautiful, but not cheap. Prices were able to be negotiated however not to the point where I would buy anything, but considering they were all hand made, it can be seen as fair.
Next we went to the temple and Dastra gave us a tour of he’s own and also took many beautiful pictures and videos for us!
After that we headed to the waterfall which was stunning from the top for anyone not comfortable making the hike down. As it was very hot and humid it did make the stairs back up quite difficult but there are many places to rest along the way. I would highly recommend going down to the bottom as the view is stunning and you can even take a dip if you bring your bathers.
The monkey sanctuary was a highlight of the trip personally. Dastra joined us and again shared valuable knowledge about the area and the wildlife which were all beautiful to be immersed in. Just make sure you hold on tight to your valuables and don’t stir up the monkeys!
Lastly we visited a tea and luwak coffee plantation, where we had 5 teas and 5 coffees (all complementary) after seeing how luwak coffee was made. The views of the rice terraces from the balcony were breathtaking, and enough for us to skip going down to the terrace itself as we were so tired from an action packed day!
A huge thanks again to Dastra and a note that he’s driving was beyond impressive in the busy traffic and heavy rains we experienced on our way back to Kuta. Major recommendations for he’s tours as we felt like we were in good hands the whole time and even like a little family by the end of our journey together.
A trip I would definitely recommend!

Highly recommend doing this tour if you want to see the highlights of Ubud. It was fabulous having a private tour and we absolutely loved our guide, Yasmika. He has so much knowledge and taught us so much about the culture here in Bali. He personalized the tour based on what he thought we’d like and it didn’t disappoint. Our favorite part was the coffee plantation which wasn’t even on the original itinerary for the day. And he was an expert picture taker!

Mudana our driver was very informative and accommodating. We took the Ubud day tour but the stops weren’t ‘locked in stone’ we didn’t want to go to the monkey forest so Mudana had other suggestions which turned out to be great.
The only downside was that at the art and wood carving stops there was a lot of pressure to buy from the site hosts (nothing to do with Bali 4U Tours) so be prepared to stand firm. We would have purchased at the wood carving stop but the host didn’t leave us alone to look, we eventually got frustrated and left because of it.
Lots of great crafts in Ubud on the way to the rice terraces so keep that in mind if you want to shop for something different.
We also recommend stopping for crispy duck lunch along the way

I was based in Seminyak but was keen to experience some of the sites of Ubud.
Jumped online the night before and was picked up at my hotel the next morning by my guide Sudi and a driver Krishna. Both did a great job throughout the day.
I was a solo traveler and Sudi offered to take plenty of photos at the various sites.
Sudi was a tremendous guide and very insightful on all the locations, he answered all the questions I had about Balinese culture and Bali and Ubud itself.
I highly recommend this tour as its an extremely affordable day out and you get to see some of the best parts of Ubud in a stress-free day.

We have been travelling through Australia and Indonesia for a month, so we booked our trip with Bali4u Tours to experience some of the great sights of Bali.
We were met by our guide Mudana and driver Ado, who gave us the full day itinerary and optional stop if we wanted.
Mudana was very knowledgeable and kept us informed of everything we needed to know. He was also an excellent photographer, so we never needed to take a selfie.
The trip was eight hours, which included an excellent lunch break at Tepi Sawah with amazing views.
I would most certainly recommend Bali 4U tours and especially Mudana & Ado for creating some life-long special memories.
We will certainly be returning to Bali and look forward to meeting Mudana & Ado again.

Tour of best of Ubud, was certainly well worth it and our guide Rio was very informative every step of the way, we started off with Arts villages and got to see how silver jewellery making is carried out and also got to buy some unique pieces. This was followed on by the Batuan temple, which was very nice. Again Rio gave us a good understanding of all the traditions. The waterfall was beautiful and a good workout, make sure you are wearing comfortable shoes, a lot of walking. This was followed by the Rice Terrace and then some time in the Ubud centre. All in all I would highly recommend this tour with Bali 4 U tours and especially with Rio, who was energetic throughout the day despite it being a long one! Will definitely use them for other day tours!!

I am trying to book this for 9 people as there is a mini bus available but it won’t let me. Can you please advise.

I am sure when you add the number of people when booking the tour they will accommodate as some of the tours are in coaches that pick up from your hotel and you can also ask for a minibus.
