Overview

Visit Jerusalem and the Dead Sea on a tour from Tel Aviv that covers Israel’s cultural, historic, and natural highlights in a single day of exploring. Enjoy views of the countryside as you make the trip in a climate-controlled coach, walk the ancient streets of Jerusalem’s old city, then get some beach time at the edge of the Dead Sea, with convenient transport from Tel Aviv hotels.

What to Expect

Depart your central Tel Aviv hotel by air-conditioned coach and journey toward Jerusalem. As you travel, your guide explains Jerusalem’s ancient past and its centrality to Jewish, Christian, and Muslim faiths.

Enter into the Old City to see the Western Wall. Walk along part of the Via Dolorosa pilgrimage route and see the 14 Stations of the Cross that mark Jesus’ route to his crucifixion site, where the Church of the Holy Sepulchre stands.

Back aboard your coach, drive to the Dead Sea, the salt lake located at the earth’s lowest point on land—around 1,312 feet (400 meters) below sea level.

On arrival, enjoy approximately two hours to bathe and laze on the mineral beach. Experience a swim (or float) in the salt-rich waters, and, if you wish, enjoy a mud bath.

Later, drive past the historical city of Jericho on your way back to Tel Aviv, where a hotel drop-off ends your trip.

Group too big

The tour started a little bit chaotic and the organization could have been better. The group was definitely too big (almost full big bus, 30 pax?). Our guide Albert was friendly with a big knowledge, however it was bilingue (French/English) even though we booked "English",...More

I don't know. You could ask the tour company - they did pick up a guy on the outskirts of Jerusalem instead of in Tel Aviv and it was obvious this had been prearranged as the guide knew about it.
