The term 'Jing Jing' means real or authentic. For us, it’s about doing Thai food justice. This tour is deliberately designed with the more experienced Thai traveller in mind. It is for the traveller looking to find new and exciting Thai dishes that they have not yet tried. We try some spicy dishes along with more mild ones; all exhibiting that wonderful Thai ‘balance’. We start the tour sampling a dish which is popular all over Thailand; Pad Ga-phrao • Spicy Stir F w/- Basil. It's made using a paste of fresh chillies and garlic. This dish should be quite spicy and with the addition of lots of holy basil at the end, have a wonderful peppery mouthfeel. We will taste it the way it was made traditionally, before bringing your mouth back to prepare you for our next destination. We then travel a short distance to awaken our taste buds a little further at a roadside vendor either just outside the Chat Chai Market or Big G. Here we will be trying Yam Naem Khao Thot, a fermented pork salad with broken up crispy rice balls scattered through; an absolute flavour sensation! We jump back on board our transport to sample the joy that is Isaan • NorthEastern food. Here we try a dish which is fast becoming Thailand's national dish, Som Dtam • Green Papaya Salad; though we will pick one of the myriad variations to the standard papaya, just to challenge your taste buds. We pair this with Khanom Jeen • Fermented Rice Noodles. We also try a spicy dish called Soop Nor Mai • Hot 'n' Sour Warm Bamboo Shoot Salad; definitely a warm salad, rather than a soup. It seems very herby and is usually dark green in colour, due to the inclusion of Bai Yaa-naang, a leafy plant unique to SE Asia. Next stop is in the back streets of Hua Hin. Here we try some southern food, which is often redolent of Indian spices like turmeric. Dishes will include Bplaa Dook Fuu Phat Phrik Gaeng • Stir Fried Crispy Shredded Catfish, as well as either Sa-dtor Phat Phrik Gaeng • Stir Fried Stink Beans w/- Prawns. Our last stop is a restaurant not known to many. Its location is difficult to find for travellers and many locals also do not know of it however it serves up great dishes with orgins from all over Thailand. Note: Sometimes our regular vendors are closed on the day you have a tour booked, however we have other vendors that are equally as good in the event that there are closures.

    Amazing insight of local kitchen
Starting out with fishnoodles. A place that served this for 50 years. What a treat to start with. The next surprise was with the streetvendors. Small bites off delicious food. The garden restaurant was simply amazing. Our Guido pikkedonker a few fish dishes and a mushroom soup. Every bite is to die for. Ending with a restaurant where we had two different curries from the north and the south. Sweet and spicey. If we had tot discribe the whole tour in a single word it will be WOW! This tour and guide will bring you the true experience of thai food! Both thumbs up for us! Thank you, Leigh and Belle for making this happen.

Great tour to orient you to the local market and range of Thai street food available. Cream was really helpful as our guide. Don't eat breakfast beforehand as you will try plenty of food on the tour!

Fantastic family food tour, 100% recommend
I cant recommend this tour enough - it was a fantastic morning learning about and tasting dishes from different areas of Thailand. There were 3 adults and 2 kids in our party. We were met at reception by Leigh and our guide Cream. Cream is a wonderful guide, so knowledgeable and so willing to answer any questions, on top of that she is great with the kids as well. 1st stop was for noodles, three type of soup and one dish which was dried noodles. Also deep fried quail eggs and minced pork. Cream took the time to answers all question including the use of the various condiments. Then on to a lovely garden setting for Isan food, chicken, sticky rice, soup, pork. After that we were taken to a restaurant specialising in norther dishes, sorry no photos of that as the food was demolished before the camera could come out, there were various types of spiced sausage, Pad Thai and Khao Soi. All very tasty and again Cream was informative and engaging the whole time. Finally the Cat Caffe, with mid blowing Ice Cream and great Coffee. Coconut Ice Cream with egg yolk and sweetcorn - sound mad - tastes fantastic. Ice Cream will never taste the same back home. Then before heading back to the hotel a little tour round some fruit stalls where we could try and buy all sorts of fresh and dried fruits. One piece of advise - don't have a big breakfast before this tour. There is so much food, all of it really tasty. Cream made the tour even more special. Always willing to answer any questions and impart information. She was great with the kids as well. 100% do this trip if you get the chance.

    Savour local tastes!
Local guide Cream is well informed and delighted in sharing knowledge and experience of spices and herbs used in Thai foods. The sweet and savoury foods we tasted were delicious. A truly rewarding experience of Hua Hin's local market. Highly recommend!

Great way to appreciate local foods
Really interesting to be guided through the market and learn more about local produce and cooking. We ate a range of food and tried adding different sauces/flavours. Our guide, Cream, was enthusiastic and knowledgeable. Had we walked through the market on our own, we would have missed so much. Highly recommend.

    Perfect Phetchaburi
We did the original flavours of Phetchaburi tour. I can’t say enough great things about our day with the Feast Thailand team. They pay attention to detail, water, clean toilet stops, santiser, everything is considered. We ate so many things we would never have tried without the tour and loved it all. Our guide, Cream, was so knowledgeable about the food and history. I got my hands into making steamed palm cakes, so much fun. You will not be disappointed if you book this tour.

Fantastic and delicious food tour 😋
Our tour guide Cream was wonderful as was her delightful boss Leigh! A fabulous business to support in Hua Hin. Great value for money - Cream was very knowledgeable, and we were able to try so many different Thai delicacies which we may never have done without her expert guidance. I especially enjoyed the little Thai fish cakes, and the crispy crepes with sweet and salty shrimp! Amazing! She was also very kind and patient with our hot and bothered 9 year old. Thank you so much! I would highly recommend this tour!!! 💜💜💜

    Flavours of Thailand
We’ve been coming to Thailand for many years and even though we love Thai food we wish we’d been on this tour much sooner. Cream is a fantastic guide, so knowledgeable. We were blown away by the food we tried. Many things we’ve seen before but given them a miss because we didn’t know what they were. We went to the “dinosaur” market - the oldest market in Hua Hin to see the produce and try some foods. Then we went to a couple of restaurants and finally a dessert stall. This is a great tour. Worth every penny and highly recommended. Thank you Cream and thank you Leigh!

Live like a local - do it!
We were met by Leigh at our hotel who was very helpful. Then Cream our guide picked us up in her cool truck. We went to the old dinosaur market and tried all sorts of things. Such a wonderful experience. We then went to a couple of restaurants and finished with some street food dessert. Cream has extensive knowledge of Thai cuisine and was an absolute pleasure to spend time with. She has perfect English and clearly loves her job (who wouldn't). If you're on the fence about doing this you should try. It was a very memorable moment of our wonderful time in Hua Hin. We highly recommend. Thank you Cream and Leigh - we thought you two were just great.

Our wonderful guide Cream made our tour so enjoyable as she explained all the different foods and she took us to so many different stalls and restaurants! One stand out dish was the sticky rice and mango with different varieties. We are really glad we booked this tour! Make sure you are prepared for a lot of food !! Thank you Cream,

It was really nice experience for us with the guide Belle!!

Fantastic food from every region and style of Thai cooking. My wife and I tasted around twenty different dishes over a four hour period and discovered some really good local restaurants which we will definitely revisit.
Our Thai guides were really knowledgeable and fun and provided background info on each dish. We did the "jing jing" tour which was very good value and a gastronomic delight. Highly recommended

When we travel we always search for local food experiences. After traveling to Asia many times we have just experienced the Jing Jing tour with Feast Thailand. We tried lots of local dishes including drunken omelette and a favourite coconut soup which uses fresh coconut. The guide was was great and not all Thai food has to be spicy. Great value with the amount of food we tried - well organised. They picked us up and then dropped us back at our hotel. Go on the tour - you won’t be disappointed.

I have travelled a number of times to Asia experienced and selected the Jing Jing food tour.

We tried new dishes - drunken omelette, coconut soup - really great flavours in local venues, off the main haunts.

Not all the dishes were hot, but they were so tasty and we tasted different dishes than we have before, unusual local ingredients and great to meet the locals too.

great value, good activity, well organised-pick up and drop off. A must for your visit to Hua Hin !!

Will do the Four Corners trip on next visit
