i have done this type tour 3 time before, & always enjoyed it. the bus was good , not as many sites ,as previous tours. we did not join 'the cruise' ayutthaya, but came back to bkk , where we came from , & boarded a boat there? there was a 'buffet' lunch , & we cruised, down the river. the buffet ,looked a bit ' tired' ,in some areas. the fish & chips , were cold,& unedible. i tried some other things , & was not happy with the taste of most things. my stomach ,did not like it either , & i was lucky to get back to my hotel , to the toilet, which i used a number of times.

A superb Thai experience
Started with introducing us to some of the core flavours and ingredients used in thai cooking, including herbs picked directly in their garden! Both Pop and chef Charles were really friendly, giving clear explanations and helpful tips. Was really impressed at how our food turned out, and enjoyed both the variety of dishes we learned and getting to use ingredients we weren't familiar with. Also a beautiful venue, and the transport to/from our accommodation was useful. Really highly recommend!

Transport to hotel
It was so pleasing to be immediately identified by Tour East sign with our names when exiting the doors at Phuket airport. We were then shown to a private car transfer after such a long 2 flight trip from Australia. It was late at night, the car was cool and comfortable it was a great start to our holiday getting to the hotel in the early hours of the morning.

Black House, White Temple & Blue Temple in Chiang Nai
They’re amazing and beautiful designed. I planned this trip only know the designed color is not same as popular Gold in Thailand but its magnificent and spectacular which more than my imaginative beforehand. Three of them are different feelings for me, Black House is a place to see wood buildings and part of animals’ skin and horns etc collections, White Temple is a great artistic adventure and Blue Temple let people feeling peace and brightest.

Floating market
After visiting Thailand for the 6th time , I finally made a trip to the floating market. Not all the boats are converted into shops. There are boats that sell fruits , food, drinks but the real shops are on either side of the canal. So the customers are sitting in the boats and the boat stops in front of the shop if one wants to buy , mostly souvenirs. Anyway one goes to the floating market for the great experience and believe me ,you will not be disappointed.

Bridge Over River Kwai
We did a private tour to save travel time. We were picked up in a car by a lovely, well mannered tour leader and her driver. She spoke very quickly and at times was difficult to understand. This tour didn't meet our expectations. We weren't given enough information during the trip. We were left for short periods in cemetary & museum without explanations. Train trip was good but we had no idea how far we were going and had no idea of what we were seeing. Lunch was great, then a long drive home. Could be greatly improved with more dialogue.

Worst Departure ever
Tour east Arrivals was not bad at all, driver was pleasant and took us to our accommodation. On departure however, our driver asked us rudely why we were waiting in the lobby instead of packing the luggage into the car. We were waiting as they called from the hotel reception for one more billed to be paid. He also drove us so recklessly almost smashing into another vehicle twice, that my husband shouted and told him we were not dogs or a sack of potatoes he was driving!!! Will not use them again and will tell the travel agent Pentravel that as well. By the way we were in Bangkok on Business.

Terrible Tour East Grand Palace Tour - morning
Please request not to be taken on this tour if KEN is taking it. We (Australian couple) have just had a horrible experience with this tour guide along with a young couple from the USA 🇺🇸 . While the Grand Palace was absolutely beautiful and we had another tour with the same company a couple of days ago (different guide), be very cautious. Our three hour tour including the Royal Temple, Grand Palace and the Emerald Buddha was very rushed, did not allow us to take enough photos, we had no access to souvenir shops, or much verbal information. It was over in just 1 1/4 hours from arrival to departure and the first couple were back at their hotel before 10:30am, and ourselves by 11am. The tour was scheduled to last until 12 noon. We were not “allowed” to go back to take photos or buy souvenirs at the Palace complex as we were told by Ken we had apparently already passed them! The guide was extremely rude and unprofessional in his approach telling the young American honeymooning lady when she asked a question rudely “I already told you that”, which had occurred in the van well prior to the site of the tour. This meant she was fearful of asking other questions while on the tour. When we both asked after leaving the Palace site in the van if we were now going to the Gems 💎 Gallery mentioned on our respective tour information ℹ️ the guide became insistent that as my partner and I had seen it in a prior tour, the other couple (who hadn’t been there) could not go as there was no need to do so. We indicated several times we were willing to go again, and his response included rude and angrily expressed retorts such as “are you going to buy gemstones” to “you’ll have to get your own transport back to the hotel”. Both of us said it was on our tour information but the guide told us we were now going in a different direction and why didn’t we ask him before this. The guide’s rudeness extended to dropping the young couple back at their hotel abruptly and slamming the door, and then he disappeared without telling us he was leaving or saying goodbye and thank you etc. So all in all we had an unexpected and unpleasant experience with this tour, and felt especially bad about the young honeymooners whose trip was undoubtedly spoiled by this behaviour.

Great tour. Great value!
Best value for $ tour in Thailand so far. Make sure you have good breakfast/food with you as my hotel pickup was 640am and lunch wasnt until 1pm. Great guide made coach trip there very informative. The palace and temples before/after Ayyuthya itself are good but the main thing for me was the ruins. Cruise and lunch were very good. I went solo but met up with two other solo guys luckily. Recommend this to anyone in Bangkok to get out of the city for a day. Lots of walking.

Peaceful Ayutthaya
It was heartening to learn that the Thai Kings named themselves after the Hindu God-King and also named their capital after Lord Rama's capital in India - Ayodhya. The Hindu/Buddhist link with India became obvious. The scale of the Wats and the size of Lord Buddha's statues left me wonderstruck. It was thus not surprising that visitors from all over the world agreed during the 17 and 18th century that Ayutthya was by far the grandest of all the world's capital cities ! I was surprised that Bangkok did not have any conducted bus tours( I checked with the hotel as well as with a couple of locals) - the type you see in most tourist places. No double deckers spewing forth a torrent of tourists at every favoured spot ! The hotel arranged a private taxi(Innova) which charged 2200 Bhat for a ten hour tour. The driver Supot had packed ice cold water and towels for the journey. He parked at all the spots but I had to go inside and negotiate the sites on my own with the help of my guidebook. Lunch at Chainam by the riverside was also a pleasant experience. On the whole, it was value for money.
