We booked Jai for a tour late in the evening and he replied straight away to arrange a next day pick up. He arrived on time, took us to an amazing local place for breakfast. Jai has an unbelievable amount of knowledge of Ipoh , the local area , the whole way to Cameron Highlands, Jai told us so much information, really interesting. Jai's tour is more of a personal touch, finding out about us, stopping off here & there to share information. As well as a cultural experience, food was an added element, where Jai was so happy to supply local fruits and delicacies from various places. We booked a bespoke transfer/tour with our driver Rames collecting us from KL and taking us to various attractions before dropping us off at our Ipoh hotel. He then picked us up a couple of days later and the sightseeing continued until it was time to get to the airport for our flight. We got to see caves, Kellie's castle, temples, the colonial architecture of Ipoh old town and many other things. Rames had us trying out local snacks, and also took us for a delicious byriani lunch. Overall a fantastic way of making getting from A-B-C much more interesting.

I cannot emphasize enough, how awesome this tour was! Jai picked my sister and I up from our hotel in Ipoh and spent the day with us, taking us to all the best spots and teaching us about the area. He was incredibly informative, kind, and generous throughout the day. It was definitely the highlight of our trip to Ipoh and we would not have had nearly the same experience if it weren't for Jai and his insights. 100% recommended!

Meeting Jai was probably the best part of our trip to Malaysia. He picked us up ( my husband, 10 year old daughter and myself) from our hotel in KL and drove us to Ipoh for a full day of caves and temples. Apart from being highly knowledgeable and informative about every single place we visited, he added an extra special touch- he stopped us along the way to taste local delicacies ( that on our own we wouldnt have dreamt of trying), we exchanged family stories, he really involved our daughter in all the conversations, shared jokes and by the end of the day, already became friends. He dropped us off at out Ipoh accomodation and thankfully we had another full day planned with him. We visited another temple in Ipoh and then headed out to Gopeng, as we wanted to visit an Orangasli village. Jai went to great lengths to locate the chief, who unfortunately was out of town, but still managed to get us in to an authentic village to at least have a quick look around. He then took us to the Gaharu tea valley for some lovely tea sampling ( this wasnt in the itinerary, but he wanted to make up for the " short" orangasli village trip). By the end of this 2nd day with Jai we were truly sad to say goodbye! What a fantastic time we had with him. He comes extremely highly recommended- i cant praise him enough. We had the pleasure of spending the day being guided around the Cameron Highlands whilst learning its interesting history and evolution from the colonial era, by the 5-star tour guide Jai. He is a born and bred Ipoh local who knows all about the Perak area and beyond. He has a passion for his job and he introduced us to some of the big draw cards but also the less touristy bits too. I had the best private tour with Jai. I was looking around to see what I could do in Ipoh and found the tour on Tripadvisor. I booked the Cameron Highlands 1-day tour which started out at 745am and I returned to my hotel room safely around 5pm. The entire trip was packed with information, stops along the way to try out local delights! It was my first solo trip and Jai always made sure I was okay. I would definitely recommend this trip to anyone who wishes to visit the highlights and what Cameron Highlands can offer. Despite the heavy rain, the journey was smooth and Jai is a great driver! We had an excellent full day with Jai. The loop route from Ipoh through the Cameron Highlands is designed to visit all the key tourist sites with minimised traffic delays. Jai was full of information about everything we were seeing en route. Much of the scenery, particularly in the tea plantation area is very beautiful. But this doesn’t even begin to describe the fun we had, stopping and being introduced to street food, visiting local markets to see fruits we had never seen before, and seeing the many local tourists enjoying waterfalls and other beautiful spots.
