The tour is good. We left KL at 9am and returned just after 4pm.We saw all the things in Malacca that we wanted to see - historic Dutch buildings such as St. Paul's, Jonker Street where there was lots of little shops. Their history is very different to what you'll see in KL. In Harmony Street there are 3 worshipping places - Chinese, Islamic and Hindu. You can see the diversity of the city from this. We went in a rickshaw up to the highest point for a view of the city. We also saw the mosque which is on the saw but above the ocean. This is gorgeous and worth seeing. Its a rush as its about a 2 hour drive to/from KL but being there and walking around is worth it. I'd like to stay in Malacca next time for a couple of days to explore further.

We did a speedy day trip to Malacca, visiting briefly the important highlights. This trip is really for whoever who doesn’t want to spend a discovery day, it’s more the been there done that kind of tour. Should u want to take your time and explore culture and food rather than rushing pictures into your album, than this is not the tour for you. However the guide is extremely friendly and informative. A guide that you can trust on. 👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽

We opted for a one day private tour to Malacca as a last minute decision and found the tour through Tripadvisor/Viator by Tripmakersonline Tours & Travels.

1. The pickup was bang on time (as were we, waiting in the lobby)
2. The car was newish, very clean and we had our own control over the aircon which was great in the 34dgrC heat outside
3. Our guide (Ganesh I believe) was very very informative and a true history buff and had been doing the tours for close to 31 years to Malacca so he knew the ins and outs.
4. We got to see the historical parts of Malacca and walked by ourselves around as we wanted after having been given instructions on what to see and where to go. This was the best part tbh.
5. We were asked what type of food we were after for lunch (not included) and told our driver we wanted Malay so we were taken to the best Malay family run restaurant in town. It was FANTASTIC and cost next to nothing...

So over all, the tour was very well timed, an excellent mix of being driven around and walking on our own, lunch was spot on and most of all, our driver was very safe in driving never taking any chances or doing anything irrational.

Would highly recommend this tour

Ganesh was the real highlight of the tour, he was so knowledgeable about all things Malacca and Malaysia in general. Ganesh was very accommodating of our requests and tailored the tour to suit us. Would recommend any of the tours with Ganesh - he was a star.

We loved our trip to Malacca. It is full of history and a great place to see how the mix of cultures in Malaysia work together. There are still lots of antiquated standing stuctures. One of our favourites was Saint Peters Church on the top of a hill. There are gravestones laid within the structure and you could find some from the 1600's. Just think explorors came here to trade, or kmagine that at one time people spoke Portuguese here. Our guide took us to an old Portuguese community and I believe we spoke to one of the last people still there. A few of the older men who even spoke the language recently passed away. We had a great time. Remember to eat or ask to go eat at least an hour before 2, some restaurants we be closed by then.
We needed an ATM, our driver/guide found ome for us.

Malacca City is a small, beautiful city located south of KL. Louis was our awesome driver and tour guide. Travel time was approximately 2 hours, one-way.

The city was under Portuguese, Dutch, and British control over the last 500 years — up until the mid 20th century. So, there’s quite a bit of European architecture sprinkled throughout the city center.

The itinerary was solid. We visited 10 different sites, which included religious sites, street markets, and museums. Interestingly, there was a street where a Hindi temple, Muslim Mosque, and Chinese temple were built adjacent to each other — appropriately named, Harmony Street!

Overall, this was a wonderful cultural and historical learning experience. Highly recommended!
