We bought our tickets online a few weeks in advance for about $40 each. It included the boat and tram ride, so that wasn’t too bad. We chose the 7am time which was wonderful. There were many times when we felt like the only ones in the park. It was starting to get busier when we left around 10am. It is a magical place and really seems like it can’t be real. Highly recommended

Spectacular views throughout. Crystal clear waters, cascading waterfalls and mysterious caves.

You can choose one of 4 routes.

Included is a trip on the lake as well as shuttle buses, at different points. Such extras made the €30 entrance fee good value. Additional to park.

This park is truly a “must see” sight if you visit Croatia. It’s one of the best natural sights I have seen. We followed the C program/trail which covered the upper and lower falls. It took us 4 hours which was roughly 2.5 hours of hiking and 1.5 hours for transportation and related waiting time.

We started at entrance 2 because we were staying at nearby Hotel Jezero. It didn’t seem to make a difference whether you used entrance 1 or 2. Also, we were there on September 9 and the crowds weren’t a problem. We did the upper falls from 8-9:30:and pretty much had the area to ourselves. The lower falls were a little more crowded from 10-11:00 but still not a problem.

I had done a lot of research prior to entering the park and still found it a little confusing at first. We looked around for a few hours the day before which was helpful and served as a reconnaissance mission of sorts. If you stay at Hotel Jezero (and elsewhere perhaps) you can get a second day for a one day ticket. The hotel has to stamp your ticket though after your first visit.

Highly recommended.

Plitvice was beautiful, but dealing with Trip Advisor was difficult. We were quite confused about what our $103 (2 people) paid for. Seems we paid a lot extra just for park entrance and nothing else. There was no explanation at all of the “tour”. We knew it was self-guided, but were not advised how much time to allow, possible viewing options, what to expect, etc. All in all we paid $160 for a 4-hr round trip bus ride from Zadar (which we arranged on our own) and 2 hrs. at the park.

I had read lots of horror stories about visiting in August. We booked tickets for opening time (7 am) and did the long route (K- approx 20 km). We had a great time and it was really worth the visit, the photos don’t do it justice. We hit some queues towards the end of our route as different routes converged but it was to be expected and we didn’t have to wait very long.

The best possible way to go through Plitvice Lakes. Leo made our experience personalized and incredible. He was exceptional with so much knowledge about the past and present of the lakes and surrounding areas. The entire agency is the best. Book with these people if you are looking for the best possible experience! Thanks LEO!!

Plitvic lakes are definitey spectacular. May was a good time to visit but there were already a noticeable amount of people. However half of the park was closed for us. Also tickets seem to be way cheaper on the spot than online.

The scenery is breathtaking but what made it great was that it was so easy to plan and follow the route you wanted to take. Options for lots or moderate amounts of walking. This is a must see if in Croatia.

Food and water and toilet in park. Many waterfalls and clear water. Lots of leisure walking we left at 1600. It s a lot of walking and steps bring good shoes.
