Two Volcano Hike in La Fortuna
From US$68.00
Low Price Guarantee
This hike in Arenal Volcano National Park will sate your appetite for adventure. Suitable for active and fit travelers, this challenging excursion reveals the volcanic landscapes of Cerro Chato and Arenal Volcano. Trekking with a guide means you won’t worry about getting lost and you’ll have a better chance of spotting monkeys and tropical birds. Plus, you’ll end with a cocktail at some hot springs.
What to Expect
After hotel pickup in La Fortuna, you’ll travel to Arenal Volcano National Park and embark on a challenging hike to Cerro Chato and Arenal Volcano. During the trek, you’ll pass lava-carved landscapes, see some of the Arenal Hanging Bridges, and, with luck, spot native tropical birds and monkeys.
Continue to the Arenal Observatory Lodge to learn more about the park’s geology and absorb sweeping views of the national park. After watching the sunset, travel back by car and soak aching muscles in some nearby hot springs, where you’ll enjoy a cocktail.
The tour concludes with hotel drop-off.

Highly recommend this hike! Beautiful views even when it’s a little cloudy! We even stopped for coffee and cookies. The wildlife and scenery is incredible, and Miguel our tour guide was funny, and knowledgeable! Truly Pura Vida

Our guide Eric handled every single details in the hike. The level of difficulty is intermediate to advanced. Kids over 13 who have prior experience hiking or athletic can handle it. In total it would be about 8 miles. Eric explained everything about the eco...More
