Overview
This tour offers incredible value for La Fortuna visitors who want to sample the best the area has to offer in just one day. A hanging bridges canopy tour, waterfall swim, Arenal Volcano hike, and hot spring visit are all combined into a single easily-managed booking, topped off by two included meals and private transportation with pickup and drop-off from La Fortuna.
What to Expect
Your tour begins with pickup from downtown La Fortuna. By 7:30am, start hiking down a 2-mile (3 kilometer) trail that crosses nine fixed bridges and six suspension bridges, offering incredible views of the rain forest. Though it feels adventurous, the bridges are designed for comfortable crossings.

Then, continue to the La Fortuna Waterfall. Walk roughly 15 minutes from the trailhead to reach the falls; swim and snap photos upon arrival. Lunch at Lava Rocks Cafe follows (included).

At 3pm, begin hiking on Arenal Volcano. The exact trail is chosen upon arrival for the greatest chance of seeing lava, as the flows vary day to day. Your guide helps you spot plants and animals as you climb the volcano, and you watch the sunset from a vista point at the end of the hike. Linger until dark to see glowing chunks of lava.

Conclude your tour with a dip in either the Tabacon or Baldi Hot Springs followed by a buffet dinner (included). Return to your original departure point at the end of the tour.

We loved it!

Our tour guides from Jacamar did a fantastic job explaining what we were seeing and some history and culture of Costa Rica. The hanging bridges tour was beautiful! We saw a sloth, two vipers (yikes!), a tree frog, a troop of spider monkeys and much...More

Excellent experience!

We had the pleasure of exploring La Fortuna waterfall, lava fields and hanging bridges with a tour guide named Allan. We’ve had several guides during our time in Costa Rica and he ranks among the best. He was able to spot sloths, bats, monkeys along...More

I would think you could book there. The company has an office in town. But I would be concerned about it booking up. We had rain in the afternoon but they offered ponchos. Loved the tour even with the rain.
