Overview
Enjoy a white water rafting adventure with Class III and IV rapids; they’re more challenging than easy rapids but not very dangerous. Raft 9 miles (14.5 kilometers) down the Balsa River while leaving enough time to swim and snack on Costa Rican fruit. Afterward, your guide rewards you with a beer and takes you to a local restaurant for lunch.

What to Expect
Make your way to the rapids, where you’re fitted for safety equipment. Get on the water and start the 9-mile (14.5-kilometer) journey down the river.
Your guides help you pass Class III and IV rapids, which might require precise maneuvering and some scouting. Take advantage of a stop along the way to swim and snack on fruit.
After the journey down the river, your guide gives you a beer—or water—and takes you to a local restaurant for a Costa Rica-style lunch. Conclude the tour with drop-off at the original departure point.
