On a day trip from Costa Rica to Nicaragua for the first time, You'll be able to see the highlights of the southern part of the country, including boating, shopping and wildlife viewing, all in a single day.
You will be picked up promptly from your hotel at 5 am and taken to the border, where your guide will help you through every step of the crossing, which takes approximately 30 minutes. The guide will facilitate the process and take care of all passport and visa procedures. From here, we will travel to enjoy a good breakfast and start the day.
We will visit the Catarina Viewpoint, the Masaya Handicraft Market, the Volcano Park Museum, the Immaculate Conception of Mary Cathedral and, finally, the Islets of Nicaragua, and then return to the starting point.

Our guide was super friendly and you could tell he had a great passion for nature. The walk through the park was spectacular. We saw a lot of animals: beautiful birds, alligators sunbathing and even some monkeys frolicking in the trees. The tranquility of the place and the landscapes are simply impressive. I felt completely connected to nature. What I really loved was the knowledge of the guide. He shared fascinating facts about biodiversity and the ecosystem, which made the tour very educational and entertaining at the same time. Additionally, the entire team was very professional. Transportation was comfortable and punctual, and the facilities were in perfect condition. If you are in Costa Rica, don't miss Palo Verde! All the drivers were punctual, professional, courteous, patient and helpful. They made a few stops each trip, to eat, food shopping , bank, pharmacy, gift shops and more. - lynnmundie0 contributionsAwesome experience!The experience in total was wonderful. The waterfall was taller and more beautiful than any pictures can show. However, the hiking was more difficult than expected and you had to do a lot of climbing over boulders. I hiked in cheap water shoes but wished I had hiked in tennis shoes and changed to water shoes when we got to the water part. They provided a dry bag that you could take with you to store your dry shoes in. Overall a wonderful and very unique adventure!!Written 30 July 2024

He was a fantastic driver, very safe and careful, and very knowledgeable about the areas we visited. He helped teach us about local culture, customs, agriculture, architecture and history. He gave the highest level of service possible and was kind, patient and informative.
