Tamarindo ATV Beach hop private tour
Our guide picked us up then took us to get the ATVs and ride through the province on dirt roads to 3 different beaches and through the forest and some local residential areas. It was a great experience overall. We had fun on the ATVs and seeing the different beaches was so beautiful. We can’t wait to go back!

        Awesome trip
This was an awesome trip. We booked for two and were picked up in Portero. Because of our location it was a bit of a drive but the shuttle was well air conditioned! Swimming in the waterfall was incredible and the hike and sloth sanctuary were absolutely amazing. The hike is pretty intense with some steep inclines and ends with 250 steps down to the Rio Celest that you then have to climb back up. Also, you’re in a rain forest so bring rain clothes for sure. We would absolutely do this trip again.

        Nice Work Native's Way!
Our jet ski tour booked through Native's Way and starting at Patagonia Del Mar in Brasilito was awesome! Nicholas and Gabi were great guides and our family had a blast! We referred this tour to some friends we met during our trip and they also had a great time. Thank you!

        A TOTAL BLAST
I want to give the biggest shout-out to Daphne and Jose for being such incredible tour guides. We had such a wonderful time with them and appreciated all the local knowledge they shared. For an excursion that has so many moving parts Native's Way has everything moving so efficiently, yet you never feel rushed. Everything flowed so well and we truly enjoyed each of the mini adventures wrapped into one. Again, Daphne and Jose made this trip so special. Thank you both!

        Great day. Great tour company
We had such a great time on this tour! Kevin was our guide and he was very kind and funny. He did a great job keeping us all together and on time. There is a lot of time in the van but they make sure and stop every hour or so for bathroom and stretch breaks. The lunch was delicious! The guides at the sloth sanctuary were also great. They spotted several frogs and sloths and helped everyone get good pictures. On a side note, we actually used Natives Way a few times on our trip and had great experiences each time. They were even able to change our airport transfer at the last minute when we had to leave a day early. Thank you everyone at Natives Way! If I ever come back to Costa Rica I will definitely book tours through them again.

Worth it! Nice hike to waterfall and along the river.
We unfortunately were not lucky and it rained a lot the night before we visited, so the water was not blue, it was brown-ish (regular river color... whatever that is). That's our only critique. We otherwise really enjoyed hiking around the area (we didn't realize there were pretty other paths along the river we could explore). The hike to the waterfall was pretty easy, just a lot of steps. A bit outside of La Fortuna, but we really enjoyed our visit! Note: You had to buy tickets online through Costa Rica's government to get in. They have wifi at the check in so you can buy them when you get there (that's what we did). They were $12 each. We think it was worth it!

        Amazing Wildlife!
Our guide was excellent, and knew just where to go to see all the wildlife. We learned so much about the flora and fauna of the area. Even got to see, close-up, a crocodile eating a huge crab! It was a great trip!

        Tui costa rica grand tour
Having travelled on several tours ( India, China etc) this has been by far the worst. Initially they tried to miss out on some stated activities ( until we all complained) and finally on the 5 day of the tour they tried to book us into a horrendous hotel for 2x nights ( EVERYONE on our tour refused to stay. The rooms were filthy and unmade, no air conditioning ( in35 degrees) and the pool was green filthy sespit that obviously hadn't been used in years. On complaining Tui didn't want to know and left us stranded . We had to find another hotel ourselves and pay. TUI toally wiped their hands of us and just left us to the mercy of their contacted tour company!!! Added to that the Tui 12 hour flight home did not have any TV entertainment systems working! Advice . Do not trust or book a Tui long haul holiday !

        Day trip. Exploring Nicaragua.
Great day trip. Would recommend staying overnight if you have enough time to truly experience the country outside of the tour. Tour was well worth it. Everything ran smoothly, on time & well planned out. Highly recommend.

        Beautiful day in the rainforest
We had a truly beautiful day with Ivan and Joseph! We were picked up at 7:15am and realized that the schedule day was going to get us back back past our checkout time at 5pm so our wonderful tour guides immediately modified our schedule to accommodate and we made it back in plenty of time. We were blown away seeing the sloths and other animals at the rainforest (almost wish this part was longer) and had a really delicious and fantastic lunch. We also loved swimming in the waterfall. Overall a wonderful day :)

Palo Verde Boat Safari, Mucho Bueno.
We booked the Palo Verde Boat Safari as part of our visit to Tamarindo. The boat ride down the river was relaxing and very informative. Our guides finally found the white faced monkeys we heard about, but hadn't seen. The fruit bats lined up to imitate a snake was also incredible to witness, and to spot the birds in the trees like they did was awesome. The meal to finish off the tour was fantastic and a chance to taste traditional food prepared the Costa Rican way. Pura Vida. The pottery workshop before the boat safari was so interesting, and glad we bought a piece to bring home.

        Pleasant ride to beautiful beach
This was a unique way to reach the stunning Conchal Beach. The water there is much calmer and more blue than Tamarindo beach. It is worth a visit. The horses were calm and obedient, and it was clear that our guide Kenny had good control over them. Our driver Ivan was punctual, and he taught us a lot about the Tamarindo area during the drives.

Lovely way to spend the early morning.
We had a great experience with this tour. Ivan picked us up, was the boat captain and animal spotter. He was informative and very helpful in finding the wildlife. We thoroughly enjoyed this tour.

We dutifully readied ourselves for our early morning (6:30am) departure, only to wait over an hour to begin our tour. Our guide was lovely, but was clearly working under a time constraint to bring us in to lunch on time...the hike was rushed, and older members of the group were pushed well past their comfort zone. Nice lunch. Not sure what value was added by being on a tour rather than doing a little research and going on your own...at $125 per person, I think we would have had a better experience exploring independently, without the constant pressure to hurry along. Good people, less than stellar organization.

NW organizes a truly fantastic day of volcano hiking, waterfall swim, delicious lunch at a restaurant with lots of options, followed by a visit to a gorgeous hot spring. The drive to and from isn't too bad, and there is always lots to observe from the van window! The guide was very smart and answered questions with confidence, but he wasn't terribly warm or approachable, definitely could have had more humour and personality. Note: Don't forget good sneakers/hikers and bug spray! Also, if you have kids (or even if you don't), BRING SNACKS. The hike route is mostly paved and winds thru the volcano, so very doable for all ages, but it's a long day with no food from morning til 1pm. Bring hats too, some hot sun exposure.

Gustavo was our tour guide and I highly recommend asking for him by name, he is extremely knowledgeable, thorough, and patient. The tour was spectacular, bring good quality water shoes and get ready for a nice workout. The hot springs and mud bath were amazing. The food served for lunch was delicious local food in a very well maintained restaurant buffet style.

We had a great time on this tour. Norberto, the Costa Rican Matthew McConaughey, was an excellent guide and his personal stories had us entertained the entire ride. It is well paced as you get to experience three parts of the park. With the volcanic activity and waterfalls it is like a mini tropical Yellowstone.

We left from Riu Palace and highly recommend this tour.

Every piece of this excursion is worth the price of admission alone. Our guide had over a decade of experience and was super knowledgeable about the local culture and the flora and fauna near the volcano; I took copious notes during our hike. The waterfall was an incredible experience; my only sadness is that other members of our party were quick to move on, and I could easily have spent more time swimming in the falls. The hot springs and mud bath was very refreshing and a perfect follow up to the hike and swim.
I saw some reviewers commenting that the hike was medium-to-hard, which I can't agree with? If you can normally walk 3 miles without difficulty, then you will be just fine. There are some stairs and climbing, but really not strenuous, and the guide went slow (I am not a fast hiker and appreciated that).
Highly recommend this hike for any newbie Costa Rican tourist like me!

The guide was extremely knowledgeable about the flora and fauna of the volcano. He was quick to point out interesting plants and the changing habitats. He was witty and used humor to engage the young adolescents on the trip. The lunch was fantastic and was all you could eat at a local establishment. To reach the waterfall there is a suspended staircase and those who have a fear of heights may not be able to walk down to the waterfall. There are suspended bridges to and from the hot springs. But overall a great experience. The hardest part of the day was the 6:30 AM pick up and the 7pm drop off; overall a 3 hour travel each way from the Riu Guanacaste.

We loved the tour! Our guide, Hector, was so knowledgeable and answered so many of our questions about wildlife, the landscape, and Costa Rica. The tour was varied and allowed us to see many different natural phenomena, I would definitely recommend for anyone who wants a bit of a closer view of nature in CR. The waterfall stop was incredible! So fun to jump into the beautiful blue pool, I felt like I was in a postcard. Definitely a highlight of our whole trip. Very much worth the cost for a full day of adventure.

Hecto, our guide was amazing. Very informative and had thorough knowledge on everything Costa Rican. He was very innate while walking on our volcano tour. His background was in environmental studies so he was extremely knowledgeable of the geology and biodiversity. He was able to ‘coo’ the Capuchin monkeys out of the trees. Fascinating information regarding the ficus trees. Expert on birding. Hector discovered a termite ‘hive’. He dug out a small hole and grabbed a handful of termites. He offered them to us to eat. Didn’t hesitate and tried them. Seriously tasted like a small nu with a smoky flavor. The highlight was our waterfall excursion. We were able to jump off a small rock ledge into the 30’ cascading waterfall. Another highlight was the mud bath and hot pools. So relaxing. This tour outfit did it up in style. Reclining seats. Air conditioning. Stops for light breakfast and amazing buffet lunch ( all with super healthy choices). If I could I would give Hector 6 stars.

We experienced the tour on Feb 24, 2023 and every minute of it was perfect. Our hotel was located out of the main pickup route, but the Native's Way tour agency was offering a separate pickup at hotel with a private driver (for an extra reasonable fee given the distance) who would then drive us to meet the main group before entry into the parc. That driver was Miguel and only that part would already deserve 5star review as he showed us so many other things on top of the main tour and us the most kind person ever (however, the fact that we were speaking some Spanish helped a lot too). Then the main tour was great from A to Z. The moderate level of hike was just good for our 8-year old son who hates hiking, but he did it and still had some energy. Bring some good hats that holds well on your head as a portion of the hike is through the dry tropical forest, which is pretty much under the sun and it also gets windy. But it is so much worth it, you get to see all kind of Costa Rica's nature. We spotted some monkeys on several occasions, some birds, a small but poisonous viper. We saw the exciting boiling water, fumaroles and boiling mud as well as the mini-crator (the main one would be on the top and it is not a moderate hike to get there)! All this was so amazing and impressive to see. Our guide Hugo provided so much interesting information, my head is full of it now and I am just looking at occasions to share it with those who do not know. :) Thank you Hugo! And what to say about the waterfalls and the thermal baths. A pure paradise experience. I attached a couple of pictures, but it does not represent the actual feelings you get from this experience which are 500% more. Thank you Native's Way for perfect logistics, for having such great drivers and guides working with you, for being available and so responsive on WhatsApp for any doubts I had before the tour! And thank you Costa Rica for having us! You have won our hearts! Pura Vida!

We could not have enjoyed our tour more. Our guide Paul was informative from the moment he picked us up, funny, and very knowledgeable. We went with our five-year-old son and I wasn’t sure he could manage the hike, but Paul really made it fun for him. He spotted monkeys swinging in the trees and I’m sure we would not have seen them without his help. This was a highlight of our trip!
