- redleafw202200Fun adventure, not for the winpyHad a great time, most of the time. Zip lining was great with awesome views, horseback riding was good, a little tame but the river tubing was anything but tame, could have used a practice session before going into category 3+ rapids, but the staff knows what they are doing. Lunch and mud bath/hot springs were the relaxation needed at the end.
- LLWWood00Perfect introduction to Costa RicaHighly professional tour guide, very relaxing tour. We saw a crocodile, lots of birds and howler monkeys. There was shade and water and pineapple provided. Nothing was too much trouble on this value for money tour.
- Expedition78458800Turtle NestingTurtle nesting tour success in seeing nesting, never a guarantee. Rough ride to beach. Dark walk to site. Large group from Native's Way and two other groups made a crowd, but that is the way it is.
- imadulk00So much green, so many cool creaturesSuch a great time, you gotta do this! We paid extra to get picked up from the Andaz Papagayo - a separate driver got us from the hotel and dropped us off at El Jardin restaurant to start our day and meetup with the group. We saw two amazing waterfalls, countless creatures we've never encountered before, and had a fun time enjoying nature. Highly recommended
- islandgirl223200Relaxing and informative tour!Went on the Estuary tour. Saw a variety of birds , crocs and monkies! A lovely morning cruising around. Our guide was super friendly and ready and willing to answer any questions we had! Very nice tour!
- Pierre75600Great waterfall experience!Excellent experience. Our guide, Noel, was knowledgeable, kind and funny. This was also a fantastic reprieve from the heat as we spent a great deal of time in refreshing, clear, clean waters near the falls.
- leilamB682AE00Best Tour GuideThank you Verny!!!! Our tour guide driver was the BEST!!! He made our day such an adventure with his vibrant personality. Love his passion for his country, culture and eco system. Pura Vida!! The river boat tour was beautiful and we even saw a crocodile!! Tamarindo beach was spectacular with a yummy lunch at the beachside restaurant. Wandering the local shops I felt very safe and found a few souvenir gems. Thank you again Verny for an amazing family adventure. From the Belous family Cheers Verny!!! Till next time Pura Vida!
- 509shandas00This could be so much better. As it stands, ultimately not worth it.This was.. okay. There are several ways they could make it so much better. Lengthy review to follow, but for the TL;DR version.. 2.5/5 stars. The service is fantastic, people are accommodating and friendly. Food is good. The drive is TOO LONG and they try to pack too many things into one trip so the whole thing feels rushed and ultimately not worth it. Don’t do the horse drawn carriage, it would be better to spend that hour drinking dollar beers at the restaurant instead of being harassed to buy things that you were already pressed to buy at literally every other stop. The monkey island boat ride is TOTALLY misleading. So anyone basing their choice on that feature (like we were), don’t do it. It’s sad. Before i breakdown my review, i wanna say that i wished this company split this tour into separate features. One tour that highlights the nature/ecology, and one that highlights the cultural features. We’d have taken either/both tours to spend more time doing those specific things. 1 full star for the service. Our guides were so helpful and friendly on both sides of the border. They make crossing to and from Nicaragua fast and efficient. The booking company is quick to respond to questions and make the transportation seamless. Special shout out to Armando, our private driver to/from the main shuttle, and to Sergio, our driver in Nicaragua. David, our guide, was enthusiastic about showing us the culture of his home country, and we stopped in many places where he was known and loved. It definitely endeared us to the culture. 1 full star for Nicaragua. It’s a beautiful country, with good food and vibrant culture. I can’t wait to see and learn more about this place. .5 star for the things we got to see. The volcano was awesome, but we only had 20 minutes to explore. The crater was cool, but we only had 20 minutes to see it. Monkey island was a sad Little Rock, stranded in the islets close to shore. We literally spent 15 minutes on a flat bottom boat, and came back to shore so quickly that we honestly wondered why we bothered. Granada is rich with history, but we were dragged along the streets in a horse drawn carriage that offered us 20 minutes to explore the town square. I was hoping there would be a demonstration of the richness of culture despite being a historically colonized city, but it was exactly what i expected. Maybe I would’ve come out of Granada feeling differently if wed gotten to spend more than an hour there, but with the short amount of time and effort spent, it just made us sad. Most of this review is for the company to understand what could be done differently, but for any travelers reading this far, be forewarned. This is a VERY long day spent in uncomfortable vans to see things that will leave you with more questions than sated curiosity.
- Adele E00Best day ever!!!Best adventure day we have been booked. Our guides were super friendly & on time. Made the whole day seamless. Keeping all our belongings safe on the bus. The river tubing was wild, better than expected and there were guides all along the way with our group! Super efficient, clean & friendly adventure center. Would definitely recommend this day of horseback riding, tubing, zip lining & ending with the hot springs was amazing!! Thank you to all who kept us safe & helped us have fun.
- J T00Great day on the waterGreat day on the water with Chute and his two person crew. They were very accomodating with drinks, lunch, great music, while keeping safety a priority throughout the trip. On the return trip we got closer to the cliffs for a great view of the ocean waves breaking on the rocks. It was also perfectly timed for a great view of the sunset. Plenty of time for swimming while anchored in a beautiful cove. Fun friendly crew.
- GoPlaces69227900Great experienceIt was well worth the money! Went for my birthday and it was awesome! David was amazing!! This tour is a must.
- 50JustinC00Great experience for the family! It's was an amazing experience! We got the opportunity to witness a mother laying her eggs! It was a special moment!!
- Extraordinary76891400An amazing day full of activities! This was the highlight excursion of our trip! Everyone was so friendly and happy to see you! They took safety to heart, yet still such an exciting adventure! I suggest this fun-filled day to anyone going to the area! So many fun activities in one day, we were exhausted by the days end and have amazing memories with the family!
- jeanette_hong00Best combo tour, worth every pennyBest bang for your buck. So glad I did this tour. Each activity took about 45 mins , transportation in between. Was a jam packed and efficiently run day.
- momcdaniel00Beautiful hike and areaThe waterfall is beautiful, about a mile hike each way. The hike is relatively easy with not much elevation gain, but there are alot of stairs to go down and then back up to get closer to the waterfall, not for people with knee issues. It is fun walking through the rainforest trying to look for creatures. We only saw two snakes, but that was exciting and entertained by 8 yr old daughter. With the vines, everything looks like a snake and it was awesome that my dtr and I spotted on on our own. It is a long drive, I only recommend doing the tour if you don't have a rental car. You could do the waterfall hike, and sloth sanctuary and restaurant/bufferfly garden on your own and it would be much cheaper. It took around 3 hours to get there. At the sloth sanctuary you will walk with another guide there. Make sure to tip him, he made sure we saw several sloths, frogs, and toucans. We saw both two and three toed sloths. He was a young local that lives nearby. You will cross the continental divide. Our guide was very knowledgeable about CR and it's history and been in the biz for 30 years.

We went rafting in mid July! Unfortunately the rainy season wasn’t in full swing so the river was rocky, we constantly got stuck, and there were not many opportunities to get wet due to lack of heaving rapids. The first drop the 3 drops near the end was the most excitement. Our guide was excellent and very experienced! Definitely one of the best parts of the whole experience. Highly recommend this crew and team, maybe later in the year the river could be more exciting.

We really enjoyed white water rafting. Mario provided clear instructions, and our guide, Jason, ensured our safety while sharing fascinating insights about Costa Rica's flora and fauna. The 2-hour rafting adventure allowed us to witness numerous animals and appreciate the breathtaking views of rainforest trees, volcano rocks, and mountains. Provided lunch and icecream were great too! Highly recommend these guys, they are true professionals! Pura vida!!! 😊

We went on this adventure tour through Native’s Way adventures. What a day! We were lucky enough to get picked up in a private transport (our driver was Armando, meeting him was also a great part of this trip, albeit slightly unrelated) who quickly took us to our meeting point. We briefly stopped for coffee and food along the way. Once with the Tenorio River tour group, we met our guides Mario, Jason (Jesus), and David. They took us to the river and Mario gave a detailed safety briefing before we got into our raft with Jason. The rapids started our gentle (mostly class II) before we got into the more intense Class III and finally the vaunted class IV rapids. Jason was friendly, reassuring, and worked hard to keep our raft under control through each rapid. I fell off at one point, which was a common occurrence, and he quickly helped me back into the raft before we proceeded. During the more calm parts of the river, we could take in the beauty of the river & it’s surroundings as it ran through the tenorio volcano national park. It was topped off with a post rafting snack and a delicious lunch back at the original meeting point. The travel to and from the river from the original meeting point is a bit treacherous, but I’m not sure there’s any other way to get people down to these remote sections of the river. My wife and I had a great time, and would definitely recommend this experience to anyone looking for a unique exciting adventure! Thank you to everyone who helped make our experience so memorable!

Very immersive experience. The tour guides were very well experienced and they cracked a lot of jokes as well. It was my first time as well as a lot of my friends' first time whitewater rafting and I can definitely say that this excursion was one of the best parts of our trip to Costa Rica.

The guides worked their buts off!! Dry season the water is low and they had to get out and move the rafts from time to time. Mario was the best! You can tell he grew up in the area! Lunch was the best food we’ve had so far!!

You cannot come to Coco and not do this excursion. The guides are hysterically funny, adventurous and give great tips about the local animals and plants. We had a blast on this trip. Everything was perfect. The best outfit in town.

The rafting was amazing. 7 miles down the river. Couple of stops along the way including a waterfall. The guides were excellent and very fun. The only draw back was the time to get to the site. It was over. 2 hours to get there and 2 hours back from Tamarindo where we were staying. That was the only detractor

Miguel set the tone by appearing before 0630 at our villa in Tamarindo. He briefed us about the drive to Rincón de la Vieja and appropriately stopped for fantastic coffee along the way. What a treat and tone setter. All the way along the route he explained all the local beautiful resources that Costa Rica had to offer. Our rafting trip was well planned since December was kinda low water season. The guides were all on point and very concerned for your safety after all I did get tossed in the rapids and after discovering my tube and life jacket were floating properly, a mysterious hand pulled to to shore where I was able to sort out and right my raft. I really liked how the guides tried to explain the down river hazards when marshalling the rafters before specific hazards. Great job folks. We were retrieved from the river and the guides handed is folded towels to dry off before our return bus trip. We enclosed a fantastic buffet lunch in the tour HQ. After lunch the zip lining crew corralled us and kitted us up efficiently for the next adventure. All I can say was all their processes to prepare you are well streamlined and thought of. My family had a great day. Miguel deserved his tip in US $$ and not Costa Rican coyones. Hahahaha Thanks for the adventure, Miguel!!

I forget if they require close toed shoes or not, but would highly recommend water shoes as the rapids are rocky and you may end up “taking a swim” after riding down the rapids — don’t want to cut your feet!

We are staying at Reserva Conchal, Guanacaste Province, 50308, Costa Rica. (W Costa Rica - Reserva Conchal hotel) and there are 6 of us. Is there pickup available? Also, we would like to plan this for November 26th or November 28th, 2021. What class rapids are during that season? How long is the tour?
Thanks,
Pinki

Might be able to fit five, but that will be tight, if there are bigger people. Probably will need 2 rafts.
