- 1Cano IslandStop: 5 hours - Admission includedThe tour starts at about 7:30 am from the Rancho Corcovado Hotel, We will try equipment and after that we will take a boat to the Island which will last approximately 45 minutes to the Cano Island. Once we get to the island your guide will give you all the instructions you need to do the first Snorkeling point which last around 45 minutes to 1 hour. At this area you will be able to appreciate rock formations and corals, surrounded by multicolored fish. Then we will take a break of around 30 minutes and then we will go do a second snorkeling point around the Island. After the second snorkel we will take you to Playa San Josecito so you can see one of the most amazing beaches in Drake Bay. After that we will return to Drake Bay around 1:00 pm for lunch at one of the local restaurants.Read more

This was a outstanding tour. There are two sessions of snorkeling. We saw many bright fish, puffer fish, a manta ray, 4 sea turtles and 2 sharks.
The best was the dolphin interchange after our snorkeling. There were perhaps twenty dolphins playing with our boat, riding the boat wake and just giving us so much joy!
Arvelo and crew were caring and sensitive about the wildlife and the ocean. They were professional and concerned with the tourists’ well being.
The lunch was served family style at Rancho Corcovado. It was fresh and tasty; rice, beans, avocado salad and chips.
This was our second trip to Costa Rica. This is an outstanding tour, not to be missed!

Loved the experience of snorkeling out at Caño Island in CR. However, if I had to critic this experience the only thing that I found slightly annoying was the “breaks”. I get that some people need to rest but you have life jackets on and we move in a group at a slow rate. During the experience we took 2, 35 min breaks on separate beaches. Both beautiful beaches but still, the snorkeling is the point here, not a beach day. It’s listed as a Full day of snorkeling but between the boat ride to the island, and the “breaks”, snorkeling is only about 1.5 hours of this trip in 2 (45 min) sections.

Did both the Cano Island and Corcovado Park tours. Pacheco handles the reservations professionally with excellent email communications. The tours themselves had amazing guides that great eyes for spotting wildlife while concerned for everyones' safety. We had lower expectations for seeing the amount and variety of wildlife, but we were impressed with the quality and quantity. The boats were clean and well maintained. Highly recommended! Pro tip: bring watershoes for rocky shore.

We saw quite some fish and turtles and even dolphins from the boat, but we had to follow the guide constantly and swim a lot.
We would've preferred being able to hang around and explore the first snorkeling stop at our own pace, really being able to look around. Also the price is really high for these trips here, compared to other, more beautiful snorkeling destinations.
Making it a one stop (only the first) trip, without uncomfortably sitting around on random beaches without purpose and some snacks instead of lunch for 1/3 - 1/2 of this price would have been perfect.
We would've preferred being able to hang around and explore the first snorkeling stop at our own pace, really being able to look around. Also the price is really high for these trips here, compared to other, more beautiful snorkeling destinations.

Brilliant tour. Saw loads of beautiful fish, turtles and a reef shark. The guides were brilliant and informative and could find lots of cool stuff. We also saw dolphins on the way back. Highly recommended, one of the best things we did in drake bay.

The snorkling in Cano Island was amazing. Catherine our guide was really nice and prepared! We saw different whales , sea turtles, baby shark and lots of fish! Then stoped in an amazing beach! Really cool!!
