He told us so much about the lagoon, the wildlife and other things about the area. Being in the boat in the lagoon is so calm and peaceful. - Freedom2939310 contributionsSafari and Gaulle toursI went on a tour to Gaulle. Stopped off at the tsunami museum, moonstone mining, Buddhist monastery, spice garden, turtle sanctuary and lastly Gaulle fort. My second trip was to Wilpattu safari and I had two half day Safaris booked. Overall it was a fantastic experience from the moment of booking right up to the end. It was all arranged over WhatsApp, drivers were on time and friendly. Excellent customer service and follow up to make sure we arrived back at our hotel safely. Highly recommended.Written 29 August 2024

All went very well, very nicely managed and professional. We especially liked the heritage tour with Mr. Siham guiding us through the main historical places around Arugam Bay. It is very quiet, with the man pushing the boat by hand. Lots of birds and the english speaking guide knows them all. Very good experience!Written 6 August 2024
- 237nenas0 contributionsBest lagoon safari everAMAZING TOUR: the nature in the mangroves is absolutely magical! So quit, only the sound of the water and the birds. We saw an elephant, lots of birds, crocodiles & the most beautiful sunset. Our favorite activity in Sri Lanka so far! The guide was also very fun and friendly and had lots of knowledge about the birds and the mangroves.Written 31 July 2024
- stox50 contributionsExcellent and memorable safariWe had an excellent half day safari with Ravi in Kumana. Ravi was a lovely guy, friendly, knowledgeable and professional. Ravi pointed out many birds, took us to some beautiful places in the park, and we saw elephants, water buffaloes, crocodiles and many more. As we started the last hour of the safari we were lucky to see a leopard walking along the track towards us and the watering hole. The leopard sat within metres of the jeep assessing the watering hole and the water buffalo and we sat and enjoyed watching the leopard. A hugely memorable experience. Thank you Ravi so much.Written 29 July 2024

We went on a safari tour in Kumana National Park yesterday, and I'm still overwhelmed by the experience. We opted for the full-day all-inclusive tour, which was challenging due to the heat, but it allowed us to see even more wildlife.
Thanks to our professional guide and attentive driver, we saw many animals and birds, and incredibly, we spotted a leopard twice—once it walked right past us. If you don't see a leopard, don't be disappointed; the park's nature is stunning. Elephants, various birds, wild boars, deer, buffaloes, and crocodiles were all amazing to witness.

We did the full day safari yesterday and it was realy Nice! Its pretty long but you see a lot of different kind of animals, you get to picknick for breakfast at the sea, lunch at a little river and mini waterfall, you could swim, the food is really good, drinks and snacks all day long… we really want to see the leopard but it’s nature so you never now… and the guide kept on looking on different places and finally found one :-). Put the motor off the car out and just relaxing and watch that beautiful animal doing his thing. The guide was also super friendly! English was not perfect but he tried so hard to show us everything he knew and to explain the best he could! Thanks a lot for this experience. Angie and Dimi!

We are very grateful for Redline holidays for our perfectly organized holiday. Very kind, helpful and honest people, who have worked hard to satisfy all our wishes. Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage, the botanical gardens, Sigiriya Rock, traditional dancing cultural show in Kandy will always be unforgettable moments, just like Kumana National Park Safari, Arugam Bay beach, sunrises & sunsets, Rawana waterfall in Ella which are memories of a lifetime. It was a unique, personalized journey with really friendly and caring organizers and tour guide.
I was lucky enough to celebrate my birthday in beautiful Sri Lanka surrounded by wonderful people who made this day really special for me, with many surprises, like dinner on the beach, birthday cake, gifts and fireworks, all organized by Redline Holidays.
We must mention the unique, colorful & excellent Sri Lankan kitchen and spices.
We can't wait to go back. 🌞

Our guide and driver were really informative and tried very hard to find all kinds of wildlife for us! We were lucky and saw a leopard right at the end of the day as well as elephants, crocodiles, buffalo, boar, deer and lots of rare birds. We also enjoyed visiting the jungle temple. The food was also excellent and we enjoyed our rice and curry under the shade of big trees next to the river. The wildlife is most active at the very start or very end of the day and the middle of the day is very hot with not too much to see so we would suggest half day is better.

Our safari experience with Arugambay tours was great! We had a very knowledgeable driver and were extremely lucky to spot 2 leopards at a very close distance (often people don’t get a chance to see even one). Organisation was smooth and we were totally enjoying our time looking at elephants, crocodiles and birds in the park. Since we were visiting the park during Covid time, we appeared to be the only jeep on the territory, you most probably won’t have that luxury if you come during high season. But it’s a great activity to do anyways, totally recommended!

A once in a lifetime experience with a highly professional team offering the best experience in Kumuna! So many animals and birds, what made our trip was a great jeep, and our knowledgeable tour guide Ravi! He had an eye for wildlife and had so much knowledge to share. We saw alligators within 5min of leaving the hotel! Crazy how much there is to see! The booking online payment was convenient. A great memorable experience!

Had such a wonderful time on safari! It was so chilled and still so exciting at the same time. The guide was great and stopped at all the right moments for us. My tip would be to bring plenty of snacks and water as it's a long trip - in a good way!

Highly recommended full day safari.
Our guide Sandu was very skilful in spotting wildlife and a very safe driver.
We saw 6 leopards in total, including a mating pair, which we believe is very rare to see. We also saw lots of elephants, including babies, wildebeest, mongoose, deer, crocodiles and a wide variety of birds including the Black Neck Storked.
Huge morning tea of fresh fruit and delicious picnic lunch.

This company are BY FAR the best company to do a Kumana Safari with. We did a full day safari tour with them and could not have been happier with our decision. Our guide, Manaf, went out of his way to show us as much wildlife as possible, and definitely had eyes like a hawk!
We couldn’t believe our luck when we glimpsed a leopard at the back of the woods in the morning of our full day safari... however our guide wasn’t satisfied and kept looking until we got a clear shot of a leopard in the afternoon! Even on the way out of the park he drove out of his way to show us some elephants... all round top notch service!
We spoke to lots of others who hadn’t seen a leopard or an elephant on the day we visited... do yourself a favour and book with this amazing company for the best experience and guides.

We did a full day safari, having a driver and vehicle to ourselves. We had indicated that we wanted to see elephants in particular so the driver went out his way to ensure we saw them alongside of lots of other birds and animals. We were incredibly well fed (3 meals) including some delicious hoppers and fruit for breakfast and then an insane curry, rice, sambol and other sides for lunch. The driver was very knowledgeable and good at spotting the animals. Kumana National Park itself is beautiful and very peaceful. You arrive just in time for sunrise and it really is wonderful to be at one with nature and taking a break from the hustle and bustle. I would recommend this company 100 percent!

Hi,
I'd really like to go on this tour but the price for 1 single ticket is $300 but only $170 each if 2 people book.
Is this correct? I would have to pay almost double the price for a single ticket?
Thanks,
Rich
