Extremely entertaining.

Great day. Had lunch with an astronaut, followed by an extended bus tour (we were the only ones on the tour so we had our very own private tour). Lots to do and see. Worth the trip from Orlando area.

Waste of a day
Jul 2019
We planned our visit not knowing that a launch was going to take place on that day. Car parking was $10 but there was no supervisors or transfer to the entrance. We passed through bag search and purchased our tickets and were surprised that we didn’t have to pay full price but put that down to the fact that there was no busses to take you to the launch pad.. We looked at one attraction but had to pay extra for that so we went to the imax screening which was very interesting. We tried to buy food but the queues were extremely long with no guarantee of a table as people seemed to have eaten and staying put until the launch. Restrooms were smelly and the ice cream seller didn’t have vanilla ice cream or Orio.

Hello, Thank you for your feedback. I'm assuming that you booked our Kennedy Space Center Ticket Only option. A memo did go out to all of our guest who booked the Ticket Only option. This memo states that there will be a rocket launch on Wednesday, July 24, 2019. We suggest visiting Kennedy Space Center’s website for updates and advised arriving early as on launch days there will be more visitors than on normal days. Kennedy Space Center can be very busy on launch dates and has filled to capacity in the past. We also did advise that the tickets that have been sent to you is not date specific and can be used on another date if you wish. If you have any further questions or concerns please feel free to reach out to us!

Not Impressed
I'll start by saying that if you do the normal trip without the ultimate pass this trip was probably okay. Also I cannot fault Kennedy the place is amazing and so was the tours and exhibits.
The problem was we booked the ultimate pass through this company. Which included a private guided tour of the Atlantis exhibit, lunch with an astronaut and the up close and personal bus tour.
We never got the guided Atlantis tour. We were sent on our way to do it ourselves as soon as we got there. In fact once the guide took us off the bus and we got through the main gate, that was the last we saw of him until 5pm.
Our dine with astronaut was at 12-1pm and then bus tour at 1.30pm.
As it was the up close tour, the tour did not end up at the saturn 5 exhibit until 3.40pm. We had to be back at the bus for 5pm and had to cue for the shuttle buses from the Saturn 5 back to the main buildings (cue time 30 mins then bus ride itself is 10 mins back) this left us just half a hour to do the Saturn 5 and Apollo area which was not long enough.
When I booked this I was told an 11 hour day trip. We did not arrive at NASA until 10am an expected to be back at bus for 5pm.
A 5pm pick up for the bus is far too early for the people who have booked the ultimate experience. We just didnt have time to even look around at the Saturn exhibits let alone go in the shop etc.
Im also upset that I paid for a "private guided tour" then was just told to do it ourselves!

I think you need to do separate tours for the people who have paid a lot of extra money to do the ultimate trip as opposed to the normal trip and make the bus time 6pm pick up.
$650 for 4 people isnt cheap. Half a hour at the Saturn centre is not long enough. If I had of known i would have just booked through NASA direct and made my own way to and from the centre. It ruined the afternoon as worrying about times and being back at the main centre to catch the bus.

Thank you so much for reaching out to us on this matter. Your feedback is very important to us and I would really like to research this further in regards to the guide on our tour. Our tour guide will be with our guests for the first part of the morning at the Atlantis building and then our guests are free to do the remainder of the complex on their own as moving large groups through the center is extremely difficult with wait times on rides and exhibits. Yes booking the Ultimate space Pass does require more time during the day that have set times. i.e Dine and tour. Both of which are amazing. If you can email our reservations team with more details at reservations@floridadolphintours.com I would greatly appreciate it so that we can do some further research. Once again thank you for reaching out with your feedback.

Such a good day
Apr 2019
My partner and I had such a good day at the Kennedy Space Centre. Whether you have an interest in space or not, I don't think you can fail to enjoy your time at NASA. The basic bus trip shows you around the launch pads at a distance. We had wanted to do one of the enhanced tours but they were sold out, however we were extremely happy with what the price we paid gave us. If you are 55 or over you get to go as a senior! Enjoy!

Good day out without rollercoasters
We went here half way through a fortnight in Orlando.

It is quite a hike out to Kennedy, but there is nowhere else you can get to see this stuff.

Even if you and your kids aren’t into science and space, it is really impressive to see the sheer scale of the rockets and to try and get an appreciation of how hard this stuff is to achieve.

BUT.....

It is almost impossible to get here without driving, so why charge an additional $10 for parking?

Also, the place seems to have become much more popular since my first visit 10 years ago. This is great unless you are sat near a family who just don’t stop talking through films, explanations.... just everything.

A loud SHHHH seems to help, but only temporarily.

It would be great if the Space Centre staff would help in this for the enjoyment of those who truly appreciate what you are doing.

Regardless of my moan, we are bound to go back when we are next in this part of Florida.

Great place to visit, but....
We arrived as the Visitors Center was opening, and purchased the standard bus tour of the Kennedy Space Center. We started at the Rocket Park, guided tour, and then ventured out to other venues. The bus tour was wonderful. You pass the Vehicle Assembly Building, and go by Launch Pads 39B and 39A. Other buildings and storage areas are seen too. The VAB was open at one door and we saw the new launch structure for the new Space Launch System. 39B was being modified for launching a SpaceX rocket. We were dropped at the Saturn V/Apollo Center. There we saw the Launch Control Room, Apollo 8 capsule, full-sized Saturn V, lunar theater, and saw numerous other things. We took the bus back to the Visitors Center and had lunch at Orbit Cafe. We then saw two IMAX movies, Astronaut Encounter, ISS show and ended at the Space Shuttle Atlantis exhibit. This was spectacular.

Only downside was being bombarded with NASA's propaganda promoting its views on global warming. The bus driver and several films promoted this view which didn't need to be part of the space program.

If you are going to Orlando, check your Calendar to see if there is a Space launch at Cape Canaveral. If you are lucky, you will see something unique in your life, you will share a wonderful moment seeing a Space Shuttle taking off. I was there on 2nd April 2018, it was Easter and we were 18 000 people waiting for SpaceX CRS-14 Launch

ABSOLUTELY AMAZING - not to be missed
Apr 2018 • Friends
Our group of four booked the tour of the Kennedy Space Centre and it was certainly worth the visit. Although we were Australians there were tears in our eyes when we came from the Altantis exhibit. The whole place was amazing and we could have spent days looking around and exploring all the displays. We had booked lunch with the astronaut and it was a nice buffet meal and our astronaut was great. He was very knowledgeable and talked for ages and did not mind how many questions were asked of him. Photos with him were available after lunch and it was very relaxed.
