Explore the lakefront neighborhoods of Chicago on this comprehensive Segway tour. Traveling by Segway is fun and allows you to cover more ground so you can take in the sights along Lake Michigan and Lake Shore Drive. Follow your guide to landmarks such as Navy Pier, Museum Campus, Millennium Park, Buckingham Fountain, Grant Park and more. With departure times in the morning and afternoon, this Chicago Segway tour easily fits into your sightseeing schedule.
What to Expect
Make your way to the designated location on South Michigan Avenue in downtown Chicago to meet your guide and small group.

Your guide provides a 30-minute training session so you can get comfortable driving the self-balancing transportation device.

When ready, your guide leads you to sights such as Buckingham Fountain in Grant Park and the Lincoln statue in Lincoln Park. Glide around the sprawling Museum Campus, a lakeside park with the John G. Shedd Aquarium and Field Museum of Natural History.

Continue along the car-free path on Lakeshore Drive to Millennium Park, at the foot of Michigan Avenue, and see Navy Pier.

Throughout the tour, your guide shares the history of Chicago and stops regularly for photo ops. Get tips for places to go during your visit to the Windy City, and choose either the 2-hour or 3-hour tour, whichever suits your schedule.

Tour ends at the departure point.

Outstanding Tour

Whenever we travel to a new city, we like to do a Segway tour because it’s the easiest way to see the city. Our tour guide Racquel was wonderful and the tour itself I would definitely recommend.

More about the Segway than the tour

What was advertised as a two hour tour was more like 75 min and didn’t see much beyond the waterfront. If you are most interested in riding a Segway rather than seeing Chicago, it might be ok. I should have rented a bike for 1/10th...More

They usually have a great deal available through Groupon that may be better than a military discount.

Including orientation, our two-hour tour lasted just under 2.5 hours. It probably varies based on how much time the people in your group need to feel comfortable on the Segway before heading out for the tour.
