About the operator
Don’t take it from us – here’s what people have to say about this operator:
- Bordersology0 contributionsThe Most Authentic and Affordable Cooking Class You Will Ever TakeNot only was it the most authentic cooking class we have taken to date, but it was the most affordable, budget-friendly seafood feast we might ever have! To relive the culinary experience, we intend to visit Guadeloupe again! Authenticity: Our cooking class with Low-Key Tours Guadeloupe featured two local female chefs and a translator. The chefs spoke Creole French to our translator, and then she repeated the information/instructions in English. The venue where we prepared and ate the food is a family-run restaurant in Deshaies. One of the chef’s children even served us our bottle of wine. Immersive Cooking Class: We were involved in every step of the process, from chopping to preparing and cooking each dish! Accommodating To Allergies: In our booking notes, we put “one guest is gluten-free,” fully expecting to have some dishes substituted or left out. This was not the case! The team at Low-key Tours Guadeloupe chose to buy gluten-free flour and ingredients so that each dish could be made entirely gluten-free and sharable! We appreciated how flexible and accommodating they were! We have created a blog fully detailing our experience, check it out @ bordersology.comWritten 10 December 2023

Our guide, Kinga, was wonderful! She met us punctually at the pick up time and proceeded to give us an exceptional tour with behind the scenes information. We traveled to all the key locations and Kinga supplied pictures of the cast and crew from the site we were at. She even volunteered to take pictures of us there. As we had our elderly, handicapped mother with us, the biggest fan, she catered to her abilities making a wonderful experience and memory for her. Kinga was patient, kind, friendly and professional. I highly recommend this tour. A well worthwhile trip for any "Death in Paradise" fan.

Kinga was great at communicating before the trip. She came pick us up on time and we were at plarge de la pearl.
Turned out it was group of 7 for the tour. She had picture to show how the particular location was used in the show and extra characters of actual actors. We stopped at Cathrine’s bar for a drink and lunch break at restaurant favored by crews of the show. She had way more information than what I expected about shows. Like
Why they left the show etc.., really enjoyed the whole tour and her inside view about the show. Highly recommend it if you are fan of the show!

AMAZING!!!! It was unreal to be actually in and around where they film the series.
It was surprising how
Long it took us to get there from the cruise port… and to be honest, was not the beautiful Caribbean feel as you leave the port, however, when you arrive, if you’re a fan of the show it’s incredible!!!!
An absolute must see.

We booked this tour weeks in advance. But after we had left home, the tour operator cancelled the tour with little explanation other than guide’s “ familial problems”. Surely the tour operator should have multiple backup guides available!

Hello Stan, I am truly sorry that your experience did not meet your expectations. As both the owner and the guide, I take great pride in delivering exceptional tours, and I deeply regret having to cancel due to an unforeseen personal emergency. As a small business, I don’t have a large team of guides readily available for replacements. My tours are personally crafted with personal knowledge, which makes finding an immediate substitute challenging. That said, I ensured you had alternative options available at the cruise ship port and informed you at the time of cancellation. The tour was cancelled with seven days' notice, not at the last minute. I sincerely regret any inconvenience this may have caused and appreciate your understanding. Kinga

This was a thoroughly enjoyable tour that was very informative and interesting. Kinga did a great job of introducing us all to the behind the scenes Death in Paradise scenarios and we saw the key locations and had a wonderful day. The tour was conducted efficiently and punctually and our driver was excellent. It was also a wonderful way to see some of the island. A very worthwhile day out.

Booked online about 2 weeks before taking the trip. Communication from Low Key Tours was good, with a final confirmation of pickup details the night before the tour. We arrived on a German Cruise ship who didn't offer this excursion. Excellent, knowledgable guide, with insights not normally available as she actually worked at the main hotel used by the actors and production crew.
Consideration was given to our cruise arrival and most importantly the time we needed to back at the ship.
No hesitation in recommending this tour.

You can tell how good a company is by how it deals with problems. There was a freak mistake over our booking (electronically cancelled ) which was resolved very professionally by KInga, the guide. Also we were taken to places not available to the big tours due to the fact that she once worked in the cast hotel. Recommended.

The knowledge was wonderful. The timing well paced, and the driving confident and competent.
The only be awares are it is a long 45 minutes plus each way journey if starting in the capital or on a cruise ship and if cruise ships are in, this is a popular destination.

We were picked up on-time at our hotel and driven all the way across the island to the small town where Death in Paradise is filmed.
We were shown interesting locations that are familiar to followers of the series and given details of how the film-sets are chosen, set-up and put back.
Our guide was very knowledgeable, having personally met members of the cast.
A lovely tour and a 'must' for fans of the series.

Kinga was a great guide. Took us to all the required DiP spots and more. Had good knowledge of the programme and referenced scenes at pertinent points of the tour. Because we had done one particular part of the tour already Kinga dropped us at the Botanical Gardens to walk round, which was an added bonus. Final stop was Katherine's Bar (Le Madras) where we had drink and a quick lunch, which was delicious. Would highly recommend Kinga for this Death in Paradise experience.
