This Magic Show was top rate: we have seen about a dozen over the years and this show is as good as you will see, including some in Vegas. Don't let the building exterior or location fool you! Garry & Janine have a great story (they will share at the end of the show) and this is, I am sure just their start.
The dinner was above the average dinner fare you find at most dinner theater shows. It ain't the Four Seasons, but it was tasty, well prepared and served hot (or cold in the case of the salad). The waitstaff was quick, efficient, and best of all friendly and engaging (if you wanted)
The show was even more engaging! Fast paced! and up close: some seats are within 10 feet of the major illusions. Which is impressive. But may not as impressive as the magic that Garry brings right into the audience with the Magic Table and Dancing Scarf in a bottle illusions (two of favorites!)
Garry not only brings the magic into the audience, but also brings the audience into the magic! It really adds a great deal to the show (especially for the kids chosen.
There is humor throughout the show, and fresh takes on some familiar illusions: but most of the magic is new and boy - do they make it happen fast. Too fast. We could have gone for another hour.
We highly recommend you see them now: in a couple of years they will be bigger stars (maybe getting a little more per ticket) and you can tell your friends "oh yea -- I saw them when they first started in Branson, I predicted they would be great..."

Gary and Janine did a fantastic job engaging and entertaining the audience! My husband and I both, along with many other spectators, got called up on stage to help perform various acts. Gary had a great sense of humor and really made everyone feel comfortable up on stage, even myself who loathes being up in front of people. An added treat to our evening, was the dinner that was provided. Surprisingly, it was actually very good. Both the chicken and pork were very tender and the beans and potatoes flavorful. It was a great evening and I highly recommend this show to others visiting the Branson areas.

Garry & Janine are quite adept at their craft. Their attention to detail makes for an entertaining yet baffling show that is worth the price of admission. Garry involved his audience, adults and kids alike, on stage assisting with the illusions. We left the theater thoroughly entertained, but clueless on how the illusions were performed. .All in all, a great show with a good dinner afterwards. We will be back!

What a whirlwind of wonder! Garry and Janine Carson entertained an afternoon crowd with mystery, humor and fun in 75 minutes that seemed like only 15. Amazing stage illusions that you would only see in Las Vegas and great "in between bits" that kept the show moving between the big stage illusions.
This dinner show is perfect for the family and highly recommended. It is early enough in the day that you could even catch another evening show!

The magic in the show was really good! It was one trick after another, and we don't know how they did most of it! The dinner is actually after the show (no entertainment during the dinner). It was a good meal, though. I asked (ahead of time) if they could make mine gluten free, which they did. I think all they had to do was leave the croutons off of the salad and leave the roll off of the entree. Many of the people there for dinner were actually going to the show (a different show) after the dinner. We were told that we could get a discount to the other shows at the theater with our tickets, so we decided to stay for the next show too! It was a fun evening!

Friday evening, October 2, 2020, we had dinner and a show at the Branson Central Theatre, "Escape Reality" with Garry Carson and his wife Janine. They spent 17 years in Las Vegas for a total of 8,000 shows at the MGM Grand, and wanted a 'slower place' to raise their family. They have been here for just a little over a year.
This gent's sleight of hand is on par with Lance Burton, When talking with him after the show Garry said that he did know Lance, I bet that they traded secrets. :)
The dinner was a real meal, very large portions of food which was amazingly tasty, rosed beaf, AND 1/2 baked chicken, veggies, red potatoes, salad, bread, brownie as desert. So, if you go, don't have a huge lunch. I took well over half of my meal back to the room for lunch the next day. We got there very early and was able to sit at center table in the front row. At this time of year the crowds are very light and with Covid in full swing, the crowd was even lighter, I could have shot a cannon down the strip at noon and not hit a single car. The tables were all 6 feet of better apart.
This gent and his wife put on a very polished show doing a lot of the standard illusions, he selected assistants from the audience many times, our crowd all of 12 people in the audience, pretty much got 'chosen' to participate. Which was seriously cool. To close his show he did the famous Metamorphosis illusion. My Hubs said that it was the fastest that he has ever seen that illusion done. Jaw droppingly fast. We were sitting so close, I didn't see anything of how they did it. Just so much fun was had!!! Very well worth the $55/seat, figure that you are getting a meal and a show, pretty good price for what we received. Dinner is at 5pm the show starts at 5:45pm and ran until 7:15pm.
After show they stood out in the lobby and allowed photos to be taken. This is such a wonderful couple. Welcome them to Branson by going to see the show and have a great meal.

This show was very good, brought the kids for a birthday event and Garry did an awesome job making her feel special on a special day. The reason I give the show only 2 stars was for other reasons regarding the tickets, prices and the miscommunication and lack of transparency from one of the vendors that provides the tickets for this show, with a 40 plus percent up charge without proving those details. my card was charged $611.00 for something that should have been $364.00. The food was not as good as the vendor portrayed and I was charged for an adult ticket for the bday girl (12 years old) and she received a child plate. Garry and Janine put on a fantastic show so I mean no negativity towards them but BransonShows refused to work with us about the lack of transparency they provided. They even stated on the phone "that we should have done our research before buying tickets", which was the best advice given! I hope to spread the word to others and prevent someone else from having the same situation take place. Buyer beware, you can go on the shows website or trip advisor for 59.00 a ticket. DO NOT go through BransonShows!!

Thanks for your review and sorry to see you had to give us 2 stars as this hurts our ratings which a vendor caused. We have heard of a few ticket outlets selling tickets for much more then our box office price or having a large up charge on fees! This is something we have tried controlling but is an endless battle! We do recommend folks going directly to our website carsonentertainment.com or calling our box office at Branson Central Theatre.

My wife and I were totally amazed by Garry and Janine's incredible illusions. Garry kept the audience engaged and at times, included willing participants, in a fast paced show with humor and personal anecdotes. We also enjoyed the after-show dinner and chatting with the waitstaff. A wonderful evening's entertainment!

Our favorite show of our trip! Our family was wowed by every trick! Garry was really funny and used a lot of audience members which was really engaging. They also spent time with the audience after the show. Everything was wonderful.

The show was awesome. He was very interactive with the audience and they were very friendly after the show. The waitresses were great with serving the meal. The meal was good, my husband liked it and he is a picky eater. I would highly recommend anyone including kids to go watch this show.
