About the operator
Don’t take it from us – here’s what people have to say about this operator:
- Elaine H0 contributionsHow to see a lot in 3 daysThis Is not an A-level tour. But for a moderately priced tour, it was excellent. Note that this was the winter tour—no Yosemite, though Yosemite is in its title. But 3 days LA to San Francisco had an excellent itinerary, very tightly packed with very little free time. Check the website for details. Pasquale was an excellent host and guide and he made adjustments for my husband who has walking difficulties and also schedule adjustments to keep the group mostly dry during a day and a half of rain. Meals were on your own and sometimes fast food (truck stop for “dinner” the last night). The hotel was Oakland Airport Holiday Inn with no outside walking food options—just the dining room (which was more than ample for us) and a more than decent breakfast bar (included). We’d book it again: how else could you see Santa Barbara, Solvang, California agriculture/wine country, City Hall, Chinatown, Lombard St., Fisherman’s Wharf, Golden Gate Bridge (in person and by boat) Sausalito, Monterey, Pebble Beach, Carmel-by-the-Sea, giant redwoods, and 17-Mile Drive in 3 days? Not to mention great sunsets. Not 5 stars because pre-tour interaction by phone with the company was difficult and unsatisfactory. Some people in the group didn’t realize this tour does not visit Yosemite; how about sending the actual itinerary after booking the tour? And the bus made 2 LA stops and a bus transfer before final drop off.Written 28 November 2024
- BekSutt0 contributionsThe places this tour takes you are fantastic! My partner and I recently completed the 7 Days tour of the California Coast, San Francisco, Las Vegas, Grand Canyon, Antelope Canyon, Bryce Canyon and Zion Park. The tour overall was fantastic. The bus was neat and comfortable, the locations were all stunning and the guides all were very knowledgeable and friendly. Special shout out to Brenda and Lorenzo who were both excellent guides who clearly love what they do and love shearing all these amazing places with people. Considering the price of this tour, the hotels for the most part were great. My biggest issue with them was that the hallways and rooms in some of the hotels stank of smoke or had other foul smelly orders to them. My main vote for 4 stars for this tour was not the tour itself but actually lack of communication from the tour company prior to the tour taking place. Aside from getting a booking confirmation I received no further emails from the tour company. Having done similar tours with other companies before this was a bit of red flag as you would normally receive some sort of communication emails leading up to the trip. Due to this, I was not even sure that this tour was real and if the bus would even turn up to the meet point. I was very glad that it did, however I can suggest to make future customers more at ease providing some more correspondence before the trip would be beneficial. Despite this, I would recommend Empire Vactions and I would tour with them again should I find myself back in the USA.Written 26 October 2024
- K2780TFrhondam0 contributionsTremendous! So much quality experience in 3 days time! The 3-Day California Coast Tour was absolutely wonderful & exceeded our expectations! Brenda was our guide & she did a super job of keeping everyone informed & creating an experience that was unforgettable and will always have a special place in my heart. I traveled with my 27 year old son & he was every bit as happy & excited about our experience as I .Written 14 October 2024
- georgyk5840 contributionsFantastic experienceThe best tour if you have limited time and want to get as much as possible out of it. Hotels on this tour where we stayed - were simply fabulous (way better, compared to hotels we stayed at in LA and Vegas on our own), one even had a jacuzzi in the room. the main guide Roberto - very experienced and easygoing person, highly recommend him. The tour in total - definitely worth the money. Detailed description and comments below. 1 day. Santa Barbara (not much to see, I would even recommend making a stop not at the mission, but somewhere on the beach or pier). The whole of Santa Barbara as we saw it - literally 2 pictures, that's it. Also, I would recommend making a 5-minute stop at the lake and the dam (even from the bus window this might be an interesting landscape and pics. Monterey, bird rock - fantastic views. 2 day. San Francisco - fabulous day and very interesting, great views. 3 day. Yosemite - awesome, without any comments. The nature and landscapes - simply overwhelming. However, one negative comment I would like to make is about the company, who organized the trip (as far as I understand it's proper name is Amadeo Travel Solutions NY). I specified pickup point during the booking process. They changed it on their own. After that I've called them 3 times within 2 days - and only after the 3rd time they finally changed the reservation to a proper pickup point. Messaging through tripadvisor - they simply don't answer these mails (4 mails - no response at all). The guy who was picking up people from our hotel - we were not on his list, only when we finally located the bus ourselves, we found out that he was also travelling with us (weird but that's just the way it was). So,as a summary - organization and interaction with the company 1 star out of five. And that's, as an example, on the contrary with 1 day LA tour - they were sending messages (even including the color of the bus and where to look for it) at every stage of the tour, well in advance, and messaging in the tripadvisor - i was receiving response within 15 minutes of the request. But all in all - the tour itself is a must, highly recommend it.Written 7 October 2024

- dianabF7248BE0 contributionsOne breath 7 days trip!Recently I experienced a most amazing breathtaking adventure going with my daughter Evelina to a 7 day tour with Viator guides... The tour was brilliantly organized and performed through efforts of such outstanding talented guides as Roberto and Lorenzo. Also the drivers and the rest of the interpretors team. Roberto surrounded us, tourists, with his special warm attention, care and comfort; Lorenzo picked up our spirit to the level of heaven and carried us in heavenly blissful mood during our several days trips to grandiose canyons and valleys, monumental parks and historic routes! His romantic admiration of natural wonders couldn't leave untouched anybody's soul! His wonderful performance was amplified with impressive American and Italian signature songs that would carry everyone in bliss during our long bus drive... Everyone was excited and inspired! It takes certain talent, mood and deep knowledge to organize everything into one masterpiece tour - that was our impression of Lorenzo' s performance... I am very grateful to our guides and drivers who were working so hard and non stop to make all of us feel comfortable and joyful! Thanks to the Viator organizers, Diana Belinska Atlanta, GAWritten 7 November 2023

- veronica t0 contributionsGreat West Coast AdventureIf you have limited time in the US, I highly recommend this package, I was able to see so many beautiful places in 3 days. The hotel room and transportation are very comfortable. Our tour guides ( Pasquale and Hilo) are very knowledgeable and polite. My favorite destinations were Santa Barbara, SF bridge and Big Sur. Palace of Fine Arts is not included in the itinerary but our tour guide brought us there :) But I wish we stopped by at Big Sur bridge. We only passed by , maybe there wasnt enough parking. But it’s okay we also enjoyed the stop over at Ragged point. Taking this package was a big decision for me and I’m very glad it was all worth it :)Written 9 January 2023
- SaltLakeCityFlyer0 contributionsGreat sights but 1 man dangerous! We had a great time seeing the wonders of the West, all beautiful. Best sights are during the 3 days in NV, AZ, UT. But....on the day we got to Utah there was a japanese translator Hiro or Hilo (who came with us from LA on bus) , he shouted and physically assaulted our superb Guide Edoardo in our hotel lobby at check in time , an unprovoked attack , but Ed exhibited very professional behaviour and maturity. Mentally ill people should not be allowed on vehicles with normal people. We made a formal complaint with the hotel , it ruined our whole experience and for the tour company we hope they fired that dangerous man Hiro or Hilo. He scared us. Driver Stanley excellent, safe. Guide Ed the best we ever had. Breakfast in hotels good!Written 16 October 2022
- Lainy H0 contributionsGreat Trip and highly recommended especially with Jacob. Our family of 10, from South Africa, took a 3-day trip on the 3 October 2022. We had a fabulous time with our driver/guide Jacob. He was very informative and most accommodating wherever we went. We would highly recommend him as a guide if anyone would like to venture on this trip. The areas we visited and the explanations/comments from Jacob were really good. My only negative comments are as follows: 1. We all felt it was too rushed the 1st day to San Fransisco and that an additional day could have been added to make it more enjoyable, ie we would have liked to have stopped off in Santa Barbara and spend a bit of time on the beach area, this was not possible and we moved on to the Mission, which we all though could have been more of a pass by visit. Our visit to Solvang was too short for this lovely village and could be made a lunch stop over. 2. Jacob had to use a hand microphone as he was both the driver and the guide. This made a few of us uncomfortable as he had to keep taking his eyes off the road to pick up the mike and replace it. I would really suggest this be rectified and a head mike be supplied. Otherwise, we had the most amazing time.Written 12 October 2022
- JoeB22719610 contributionsGREAT Tour experience EXCEPT FOR THE ENDINGOur Tour Group (AMADEO) w/ Roberto and Steve Cirillo as Tour guides were EXCELLENT & PROFESSIONAL. It takes only one HORRIBLE experience to ruin the trip. The driver, ARMIN, was so INHUMAN & UN-PROFESSIONAL that the EXCELLENT rating I was going to give your company changed to only OKAY. He de-graded our fellow Italian visitors by insulting them when they requested to go the bathroom. He said to them, "THIS ISN'T EUROPE". That was the1st time they made a request to go to the bathroom. I think the passenger felt embarrassed by the remark from ARMIN. It wasn't until this passanger got the courage to ask again did he finally relent. He exhibited this same attitude towards me and my wife when he thought we were going to the 4 Points Sheraton in Culver city. He told Us to get out here is your hotel. We then told him we DID NOT ASK TO BE DROPPED OFF HERE. He got mad and slammed the door to the van. He then called Roberto (who had been dropped off earlier due to illness) and proceeded to yell at him. This experience with this man ruined my impression of your company. My suggestion is that you send him for ANGER MANAGEMENT TRAINING before he ruins your company's imageWritten 8 August 2022
- Dora L0 contributionsOur 3 day tripThis trip was excellent for me and my husband. We saw many things in a short time. Many short stops. Do bring comfortable shoes. You will be walking alot. Our tour guy Roberto and Brenda were excellent. They were very super nice. Super Informative . The Only one bad thing from this trip was the driver he was so rude. His name is David. Very bad attitude. He was driving reckless. He most ran over a pedestrian.Written 29 July 2022
- makaylabm_0 contributions5 day desert adventureAs a return guest, I cannot reccomend Empire Vacations highly enough! With affordable tours, and excellent guides, they always make travelling fun and easy. In a jam-packed 5 day tour from Los Angeles to Las Vegas, Hoover Dam, Sedona, Monument Valley, Horseshoe Bend and Antelope Canyon, you will experience some of the best attractions the USA has to offer. As you journey through California, Nevada, Arizona and Utah, you will see some of the desert's most photogenic landscapes, and learn the natural and cultural history of each region. Monument Valley and Antelope Canyon were the highlights with both offering exceptional, local Navajo guides to educate visitors on the history of two of the places. This tour offers the perfect balance of scheduled tours at attractions and free time to explore the cities at your own pace. The accommodation in each location was clean and the complimentary breakfast was tasty but simple. On our tour we had two guides - Jacob and Dino. Both were knowledgable, professional, humourous, flexible, and made the trip memorable. Suitable for people of all ages, I recommend this tour to families, couples, and solo travellers alike. If you are seeking the adventure of a lifetime, this is the trip for you.Written 25 January 2021
- Ana D0 contributionsPleasantly Surprised! If you don't have enough time and want to see most of the key places in northern California this is your tour. We were pleasantly surprised by this experience. You will be very busy the whole day for three days on this tour. They cover many places so you must be prepared to be very punctual with the time they give you. The walks are long so wearing comfortable shoes is a must. Enjoy the views, have fun, and get incredible pictures. Dorit is an amazing guide. She will explain a little bit of history in every place that you arrive and also will take awesome pictures of you and your group. I totally recommend this experience to anyone.Written 28 February 2020

This tour should be called Highlights of Sedona and Monument Valley. I was thinking I would be staying a night in Sedona and a night in Monument valley but we stayed in Motel 6 in Page, AZ. I had heard the the sunrise and sunset in Monument Valley were spectacular which was not possible.
Sedona is a lovely place surrounded by Red rocks and people should stay at least a night. One can meditate here and also do a retreat. Just 2 hours here is not enough.
Monument Valley was a great place to see and one and half hours was not enough in the jeep tour. A bumpy ride in some places in the open top jeep.
Horseshoe Bend was nice to see. Takes about 10 to 15 minutes to go from parking lot and coming back will definitely take around 30 minutes or less because the way uphill when you are back. If you take small children, be prepared
Antelope Canyon tour is fantastic. It lasts for around an hour or less and below ground level. In some places only a single person can move and you have to watch out for corners.
Also visited Valley of Fire state park and Lake Powell.
Remember one must have a good pair of walking shoes, hat and carry water with them everywhere People who cannot stand too much heat have to be very careful. Tipping is a must for the tour guides and driver.
If and when i come back here, I will stay a night in Sedona and a night in Monument Valley or Kayenta which is 21 miles away.

This tour assembles a nice collection of tour tickets, great sightseeing spots and knowledge about the different areas. Leaving the details of itineraries, unplanned events and driving to the tour operators to figure out. I was traveling alone and this was a great way to see all this in an enjoyable and safe manner.

We thoroughly enjoyed our 3-day tour! There were only five of us in our group and no crowds in sight! Our guide, Dino was a true professional and gentleman. He was detailed and efficient and everything ran smoothly. He used a microphone in the van and I was able to hear everything clearly. The van was quite comfortable and also had charging ports which were a nice touch. The hotels and restaurant options were fine-no complaints here. There are tremendous photo opps at every site and we passed many others along the way. I wished we could have made more stops at some of the scenic overlooks we passed, but I recognize that if we stopped at every beautiful spot, we’d never get where we were going. The weather in Feb was cool, crisp and sunny for us-ie perfect- and I can’t even imagine facing the crowds and the unbearable heat during the peak summer season after seeing how good we had it in winter.
Monument Valley and Antelope Canyon were the highlights for me and were both amazing as expected. The Navajo people run the tours at Antelope Canyon and all travelers must be guided by them. At times I felt rushed and like we were being herded through the canyon like cattle. There was no free time at AC. Our guide brought us from section to section and pointed out the best angles for pix; and then in the interest of time, ended up having people pass their cameras to him to take many of the pictures with his trained eye that visitors likely won’t catch on their own in the short amount of time we had in the canyon-both a blessing and a curse.
I really did get my kicks at our stop at Seligman, AZ on Rt 66-an added and unexpected bonus. Valley of Fire was beautiful and boasted both gorgeous views and well-preserved petroglyphs.
Overall I recommend this trip without reservation. In my case, it was the perfect getaway from the upstate NY winter blues!

This tour exceeded our expectations! It was the best tour we have ever experienced. We received more than expected! From beginning to end everything worked so well. The tour guide Roberto and driver Danny Ho made everything run so smoothly. The attractions were fantastic and the time spend at each was perfect. The Monument Valley and Antelope Canyon were the highlight of the trip, like cherry on the top of the cake. Horseshoe Bend and Valley of fire were great, too. I can’t have enough words to describe our Navajo tour trough Monument Valley! Great trip! Would highly recommend this tour to anyone who has a travel desire. Thank you Roberto and Danny!
